It is really comfortable and a good mouse for people who want a mouse with a comfortable shape, but I don't think it's good for people who really want to perform at higher levels. It's just not really good for fast paced games. I'd still recommend people to try it though.

Recently replaced my first gen G502 that I got for $44 with the G502 Hero I got for $40 in October, and I use the G305 that I got for $25 with my laptop, for which it's very well suited. These products last me for years, and have been bought at great prices so I highly recommend them.

  • In case anyone was wondering why someone would need an array of programmable thumb buttons on the side of a mouse, here are some of the mapped keys and combos I use on mine (for my general desktop profile) Enter Backspace Delete Undo Redo Hold shift Copy Paste Hold CTL But don't forget macros!!!! I have one button programmed to type my login username (my email) then press tab, and I have another button programmed to type my password then press enter. So for example, I can login to my desktop by clicking two buttons on my mouse. My Utechsmart Venus mouse makes it so I barely ever have to touch my keyboard. I am 300% more efficient when I use it Food for thought!

The buttons are all easy enough to hit, and you never accidentally hit one you don't intend, except maybe the scroll wheel click, because the scroll wheel has 3 buttons on it, but the side push buttons on the scroll wheel are magnificent. Makes a lot more sense to me than having 20 buttons on the side of a mouse, but then again, I'm not an MMO player. • Nah man, go to your windows settings, go to Ease of Access, go to Keyboard Settings, toggle on MouseKeys. Legit I used for a long time when I had no physical mouse, how you maneuver your keyboard with no mouse is by using Tab and Shift-Tab Tab goes forward, Shift-Tab goes backwards, in terms of what would normally be clickable things, this works well in browser Hide-and-Seek games because a yellow box will highlight where thing that you can click on are located. To "click" without MouseKeys and without a physical mouse, use Enter. Once you turned on MouseKeys you can turn it off with Alt+Shift+NumLock (when NumLock is on though, not when it's off) MouseKeys is a beautiful thing of support for the disabled but also just a beautiful thing in terms of design from the OS side to the physical implementation side, I'd definitely recommend trying it out if you want to try being Ergonomic with only a regular keyboard, even if you have a mouse, being shoulder-width apart with your arms can be done using MOST full size keyboards, if you have broad shoulders I'd genuinely recommend the Corsair K95, but only the one with 18 G-Keys to the left side.

    • Also don't buy their keyboards. My wife bought a Razer Cynosa Lite keyboard because some letters were faded or gone on my old wired keyboard. Within 2 weeks I suffered from every problem others have mentioned on different review sites: the backlight is too dark even at max illumination. The backlight shifts through the entire color spectrum and you can only setup a fixed color by using their 500MB software package. Because of that software, sometimes a key gets stuck (not on the board itself but in software) so sometimes when you wanna stop moving your character from dropping in a ravine for example, your char just keeps walking as if you kept pressing the forward button. You have to hit that same button again to get in unstuck. And sometimes when playing a movie and pauzing/stopping the movie, the sound in your speakers kept repeating like RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. The only way I found to stop that sound was to either turn off my speakers or kill the Razer software. So that piece of software also took over your entire sound system. But then the keyboard backlight starts running through the colorspectrum once again and you need to restart the software manually to get your fixed color again. And on top of that, the buttons were also in the wrong place and kept giving the wrong symbols compared to what was written on the button. And not to mention that every keyboard I know, has the symbol associated using SHIFT on the top of the button but not this one. The shift-character for that key is located on the bottom of the button, making it completely illogical to use. Upon trying to return it to the store where my wife bought it (Vandenborre), they refused to refund me for buying such a shitty product, although I returned it with the original package, the purchase ticket and within 10 days. I'm sticking to Logitech, those have never failed me, for both keyboard and mouse.

    • @@rdmz135 If you care that much about being competitive, by all means weight matters. It auto racing, weight makes such a difference to performance that it's heavily regulated. But as to whether consumers should care about absolute lightest weight in mice, it's like asking what kind of driver should buy an Ariel Atom. If you care in anyway about durability, longevity, and daily usage, you're probably better off with a heavier mouse that doesn't have holes all over it for dirt and spilled drinks to pour straight into the internals, the same way you'd probably want a car with a roof for daily driving. And if you care about other functionalities, obviously a mouse with more button choices and more comfortable shapes matters too, the same way that you might want a car with air conditioning, cup holders, and usable trunk space. By all means, it makes sense to go for the no-compromises lightweight mouse if you really need every edge you can get, but let's be honest, the majority of people who buy into this marketing are just making daily life harder for themselves when they don't play competitive shooters anywhere near as hard and have to use their PC for plenty of things other than gaming.

Its a little expensive, I think I paid like 100 canadian for it but its a nice size, fits awesome, has nice subtle lighting, looks good and the icue programming (at least for mice and keyboards) works pretty good and I have profiles for like every game with unique colour schemes and key layouts. Plus it fits well with the k70 I have, brushed aluminum looks awesome. I also have the Razer Trinity for my blade stealth for when I use the Core with my spare 1080ti and its nice to be able to have just a normal layout mouse with forward and back for the interwebs, or if I want to game I can throw the 12 button or 8 button side piece on and its like a whole new mouse! I don't like the feel as much as the scimitar though, its long and narrow where the scimitar is wider and supports the hand more.

It fits the average hand super nice with the thumb rest and a rest for the ring and Pinky finger. • My G600 is 6 years old. Literally no other mouse can compare with the 24 quick access buttons on the thumbpad with G-Shift. Never running out of buttons, macros or options in any game/application is always nice, and I've been dependent on them for productivity because it's so convenient. Who even needs macro buttons on keyboards anymore with this mouse? Besides having to replace the left click switch on the G600 3 times so far (because of the double-clicking issue), the mouse works great. Also, Linus is wrong about the G600 being heavy and not having adjustable weights. If you open it up, you can actually unscrew and take out the weights to make the mouse lighter.

The new upgrade feels way better too, and to piggyback on what Linus said, it's also fantastic when you want to be productive in the office because of all the programmable buttons and macros you can put on it. The third click is GREAT and beats $200 Razer Naga pro for me; I own both mouses btw. it's a super easy way to activate G-Shift/Hypershift, which makes it easy to program up to 40 fucking buttons y'all with a simple click of the ring finger! For $35, the G600 is a fucking steal.

  • You know, as someone who was once all peripherals logitech, I love my corsair set more than I ever did my logitech. I had a g710+, then g910 or w/e (the spectrum one) and a g600 mouse. Now I'm running corsair nightsword (it looks pretty cool, but it did take a bit to get used to a bigger mouse coming from a small mouse with lots of buttons on the side). I miss my buttons, but now that I've adjusted, I love the bigger palmer surface of the nightsword. And for a keyboard, I went k100, and I won't go back. Logitech's new slim keycaps everywhere suck. I don't want low profile keycaps. Logitech refuses to make a gaming keyboard with normal keycaps, therefore they refuse me as a customer, and this just works so much better. I love the dial for horizontal scrolling in photoshop or premiere.
