I've bought DeathAdder like five or six years ago and turns out those products are designed not to last too long, so every year I bring it to the warranty service and get a new one. • 8:00 something these reviews NEVER seem to mention: the on board profiles DONT SAVE THE RGB TO THE DEVICE. At least for razer stuff, only the key bindings are saved. Not some of the more advanced macros/functions and not the custom RGB patterns. It was a real bummer to find that out when I went to bring mine to work.

    @radicalxedward8047@radicalxedward80474 жыл бұрын
    • You are right, microphone mute function for an exemple dont`t work without synapse, and just the spectrum cycle of RGB will work, it`s a thing at least, but not the ideal like save the exact profile that i use in my device, i like the products and i never needed to use out of my rig, but it would be cool to at least save RGB stuff, shame on you Razer.

Don’t get me wrong there are small tweaks to the shape or buttons I might make for my personal preference (the furthest side button closest to the left and right clicks I have a tough time comfortably reaching with my grip style/I’m not a big fan of the flair out at the front of the mouse on the right side as it can sorta get in the way of resting my ring/pinky fingers) but it’s a great shape for large-ish hands.

  • The Deathadder V2, just like every other Razer mouse released from 2018 onward, does NOT save the RGB lighting settings to the mouse. The onboard memory is limited to the basic DPI, LOD etc. The most the mouse can remember in terms of lighting without Synapse 3 is brightness. The Deathadder Elite can remember RGB settings but nothing else. Don't really know why Razer are not allowing this on their more recent mice but it's frustrating because if you wan't anything other than spectrum cycling rainbow lights or off entirely, you need that awful Synapse 3 software running in the background at all times...

  • 8:09 I actually kind of doubt that. I have the Deathadder Elite and use Linux. There is an (unofficial) Open Source project called Open Razer which is a Linux driver for these to control RGB etc. (without the mouse still works but you can't configure the colors). So, after I configured it to stay green, I uninstalled the drivers and applications and since then the colors actually stay green even on other Linux devices (haven't tried Apple or Windows), and I can still configure the colors if I reinstall the software. No idea how it works if it really doesn't have on board memory, but whatever.

  • im using deathadders for a long time, i tested the v2 for about 2 weeks, but i rly dont like the changes beside the weightloss and the better gliders & cable. the changes on the right side bother me the most, i have avg. hands and on the old one, the elite, my ringfinger could allways rest while playing, now on the v2 there isnt any roam, so my ring finger doesnt have a spot. imo the changes to the rubbersides were also a mistake, they arent stickier than the elite, the v2 allmost feel slippery and i have allways dry hands. So pro v2: cable, gliders and weight ... cons : worse grip on the sides and for me i dont like the changes on the shape ;)

  • I also just replaced my 1st gen 2006 DA. I used the claw grip (mainly hold the mouse with thumb and ring finger and I have big hands) So my first first complaint is how the sides feel. The 2006 DA has a no textile grip but it’s very grippy for me even though it’s 100 grams I can lift no problem. I lift a lot because I play with low sensitivity on CSGO. I really wish they used the same side plastic as the 2006 DA. Next...this is good and bad. The skates on the bottom are so good it makes my mouse slide super fast. Thus needed to change my sensitivity. I play CSGO with 400dpi and 1.3 sensitivity (mainly awp and this is also why I need to lift my mouse a lot which the first issue is critical for me). The 1.3 sensitivity and 400dpi on the V2 felt like I had 2.5 sensitivity. Way too fast! So I experimented with my DPI and dropped it down from 350, 300 and now 250 and it is my sweet spot. It feels somewhat like my 2006 DA with 400dpi. Note I didn’t touch my sensitivity. The lightness I really appreciate. I actually like the weight of my 2006 DA so I was concerned. I think the light weight also effected the sensitivity so everything felt super fast sensitivity wise. But after adjusting the dpi it felt good. The lack of grip on V2 was compromised with lighter weight and it felt ok lifting it up. After a couple hours of deathmatch on CSGO I realized that I was able to grip the sides a little better but my hand started to stiffen up. I may be compromising the lack of grip by tightening up my grip. This may be a bad thing. I love the new cable. I used to feel resistance and get stuck on edges on my table with my 2006 DA. This cable feels invisible. I also just got a Zowie V2 bungie to prop up the cable and it’s perfect. The RGB is super bright which some may like. I don’t so I put it at 15% and used the dark blue to pay homage to my 2006 DA. I almost want to sand the sides and paint some lacquer on it. Haha I really miss the shiny sides of my 2006 DA. I’m not sure if it was the dirt build up and grime that accumulated over the 14 years that made them so grippy tho haha.
