The Big Cheque & The Chateau Tower.
Bonjour à tous, in this episode Terry gets to work with some of the final touches for the top of the chateau tower, now each section of paneling has been restored and all the windows fixed in this part its time to make it fell more like a home.
Plus, the family have a large cheque to present to Jonathan's school. With the help for the carol charity service at the chateau and all the wonderful donating from around the world, this small school was overwhelmed with the kindness.

About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

It was genuinely moving wasn't it.
She cried and I was so touched! I hope we get a chance to fund raise again for them. It show that many little hands together can make a big difference. And it will be wonderful for the kids to come and help plant trees and tour the chateaux and learn a little history. Also, to let them feel connected to their home area and look back someday and say to their own children, see that tree there at that big chateaux, I planted that many years ago and look how big it is now.

A lovely gesture donating towards helping Jonathan's school, it can't have been easy for him changing country, language etc but knowing that he has such an affectionate teacher will help put your mind at ease!! How wonderful! My two boys were 9 and 11 when we came to France. It is wonderful what you have done for the local school, and wonderful how they have embraced Jonathan. The pictures now hanging in the tower are so beautiful, adding your bit of history to the story of the Chataeu. The school staff were so grateful to recieve such a wonderful gift, they will make giid use if the miney I'm sure. AAAwwww well the tears definitely showed how much the gift of money really meant to the school. That was so touching. No wonder Jonathan loves being there because that shows the school has heart. This was a wonderful video. The third floor stairwell shines now and is very personal with Terry's pictures . My children also went to a Catholic school and money is always tight. It was so emotional. It was a gracious gesture to host the Christmas fundraiser and to be a part of it too with followers contributing too. It is nice to see how much Ash is improving his French over time too and can be such an asset for outreach to the community.
