@@George__-yz4ny banding? Didn't notice anything yet looks superb in color accuracy for movies but with fast pace gaming there isn't any banding or smears or whatever. It's a great panel.
What about ghosting?
@@BOSS-ek7uh Close to no ghosting, I think it's panel dependent- guess I'm lucky with mine. Still in use today, glad I didn't went for the LG.

The anti-glare on my G5 was thicccc! It looked like a cloud/heavy film grain in front of everything. I was sad because everything else was amazing. I returned it and bought an LG 27GP850.

To me , that's not even a bad price for the features you're getting, people just have unrealistic expectations
You probably have eye saver mode on this monitor as well. But, it would be nice if you could integrate a percentage % slider to adjust the amount of blue light being filtered, just like on your Galaxy S series smart phones.
Why they put that on monitor when u have that in windows , just type night mode and u can adjust how much u want

Why would you want an ultrawide thats not straight.... that just sounds terrible to play with. 1000R curve is the best to go with.
Yh i dont know why you want a monitor that wide to be straight lol. For 16:9 I get it, but the g9 when you play a game at full 32:9 the 1000R curve is actually perfect.

This is basically the odyssey g7 of 2020, but with an IPS pannel instead of VA, 165hz instead of 240, and a flat screen instead of a curved one. And the g7 of this year is completely new, being 4k 120hz.

Not my type I prefer va panel with a min hdr 600 with local dimming zones.

Someone answer these questions please. seeing these new monitors that Samsung took out. I have several concerns that I want you to alleviate for me. will come with ips technology, that would not be a problem? since I think it is the most suffering from light leaks? then let's talk about the curve or flat of the monitor, wasn't it better to leave the 1000R curved the same as the previous odyssey? I say if it was not better to leave them curved? the curved help something? and last which is better to buy this Samsung odyssey G5 monitor or the previous Samsung odyssey G5 from 2020?
The curved monitor helps you to stay focused on the content without getting distracted by other things.
@@GUVX curved monitors are only curved because of VA panels gamma shift (so clients won't complain that colors are different on the edges of screen), every other reason is just marketing.
This g5 is better as it does not suffer from the previous G5 VA smearing ...this one is ips
this monitor does suffer from backlight bleed unfortunately

It only has 350 nits of brightness and qualies for HDR10 now that's a lie it's should be atleast 400nits for basic HDR 400 support and that's not that good HDR would be good at atleast 600nits or higher!

HDMI 2.0... 165 Hz. G7 comes with 2.1, why not the G5? I'm tired of having my apps' position be shuffled when DP gets powered down.

Is the G7 better?
I have the curved version of this monitor. The screen started peelingh off after one year and a month and Samsung didn’t accept that it is a manufacturer fault. Since the warranty expired after 1 year, they didn’t repair it under warranty. I strongly not recommend any Samsung monitor to anybody.

I use previous G5 curve 32", It's not auto switch to secondary source even I turn off a primary source. Is it normal or defected
Not sure if you go a response to this or not but this is actually a setting in the display menu. You have to turn on auto switching.

its super bright for me, i use it at 80% brightness and this is already super bright. 100% is waaaaay too much

At first samsung was my go than for some reason i got an iphone in the first month of me having that phone it broke so i switch back to android than after 2 phone i finnaly got a samsung and i still love it after a few months. Morral of the story is apple is overpriced for no reason you can get any android for the same price as the iphone xr and the android will blow that phone out the roof people think are cameras lag and we always lag but thats no true and apple cant even play fortnite apple users always give android complements but they still keep there overpriced phone when samsung is obviously the superier one we get way to much hate but at least we know good value to bad value all the apple users came to this video to talk down on us and say the monitor cost a kidney but in reality iphone's lowest price phone is more than the monitors cost and there most expensive product is more than my moms car also did you know there is a $100 apple type c charger and you cant even charge there phones with it

Yeh VA technology is the most polyvalent technology beetween TN, VA and IPS, you literally have the colours of an ips while having a curved screen with great response time like a TN
