Will the lack of large design changes on the new Suzuki Swift cause it to age much quicker than some of its rivals?

The simplicity of the Swift is its biggest asset.
Yes I think you’re right there!
Milage
Massive fan of Suzuki as a brand as a whole they produce affordable cars that last.
Yeah i love suzuki, i have had many other brands before like astra H, fiat punto, 2005 golf, audi a4 2004 TDI. But my suzuki liana 2004 estate has been the best for me, i bought it from a scrap yard 8 years for £230, spent 130 on it including the price of an m.o.t and now 8 years later and almost 194k miles this thing as only asked me for a clutch and thermostat. Yes most parts and insurance is pretty expensive even more than audi i had but i saved in reliability.
worst car ever
@zine-el-abidinekholladi3405 Well, that's a delusional statement.
@@zine-el-abidinekholladi3405 Whaaat!! Worse than a Range Rover? Don't make me laugh.
I wish car reviewers would stop talking about plastics. Who drives along scratching their car?
But that is my very point, if the plastics were black, you wouldn’t notice because no one goes around scratching plastics however because they’ve made them light, it’s very obvious that they appear cheap materials to look at. I assume you look at your car?
@@AutoSocialUKI drive a Dacia, the epitome of cheap motoring. It's very plasticky ( what car isn't). But I don't stare at the interior as I'm too busy looking at the road ahead or instruments. It could be made of MDF for all I care.
2bh i want to know if a car is built solidly with premium materials or with cheaper plastics. Enjoy the dacia
If you’ve no interest in the interior of a car, then are car reviews for you? A lot of people do care about what the inside of a car looks like considering the amount of time they spend in it
I think reviewers have a scratch virus these days. Who cares whether hard or soft if everything is well made.
In this mad age of over priced new cars the new Suzuki swift is a bit of fresh air. It's well priced and offers a lot of standard kit for the money. Being a Suzuki it will be reliable too. Well done Suzuki. I think it's a great car for the money being asked.
Totally agree
The half tucked shirt is messing with my OCD 😭
Sorry, I’m 30 now. Desperately trying to look trendy 😂😂😂
30 is no age!@@AutoSocialUK
Looks outside bad 😮 no more Mini looks
@@AutoSocialUKyou'll be retiring soon then lol. When I turned 30 I dreaded it for months but now I think it's the best decade. Hope it is for u too
Just looks like you don't give a damn.
I quite like this new Swift, but I actually prefer the look of the current generation. They are great cars - reliable and fun. Most of all for me, and this is very rare these days, it's light. I'd forego soft-touch plastics anyday for these lighter materials. It's beautifully built too.
Looks better, sexier too this new gen looks terrible.

Great video as always Tish!😊 Cheers, Tom
A nice informative review of the Suzuki Swift. Well done Tish😀😀
You explained the engine characteristics very well that i wanted to know. Thanks
Great to see this channel picking up steam. Tish has put a lot of work into it, and its paying off.
Thank you James I really appreciate it. It has been a lot of hard work.
I am currently driving a Swift. I wasn't mad about the slightly shiny plastics after I bought it. But I don't mind about hard plastics. Good review!
What a nice to see excellent video and lovable "sound" ( BTW the car`s nice too )
Excellent and very informative video Sister. Keep it up.
Thank you so much 🙂
Except it is not built on a new platform.
great video as always Tish love watching. S C UK.
Thanks for watching!
what a soothing voice you have.. ❤
We bought a swift new last year and like it very much overall the road noise as speed builds seems mostly tyre related so different tyres may help kind of agree on the plastic insert colour a mid/ light grey might have been better. Its frugal particularily round town so this will be more of the same the radar cruise is set too far away even on shortest step they supposedly have improved that, I would have liked an option for a heated wheel & seats to help in colder countries. Gopping colour but like the contrasting roof with the slightly different shape it will be a bit more colour sensitive in looks and rear door handles kind of take some of the old cars uniqueness away other than that there's not much not to like apart from upping the price. We will give the new car a look when ours is a year old and see what the cost to change is with a tier 1 discount.
I have the current model SZ5 Mild Hybrid with 1.0L 3 cyl Boosterjet Engine which has 109bhp. Got to say very underwhelmed by the new model, it just looks lie a facelift of my car. Slightly different at the front, and the tail lamps slightly different as well. Interior is almost identical apart from the larger infotainment screen. Overall the car is not that much different. The main disappointment is the engine only delivering about 80bhp, don't get me wrong I love my Swift, but to release a new model almost identical with a few cosmetic changes and a lesser powered engine is a backwards step by Suzuki.
I own a 2019 swift attitude had it from new love the current shape , looking at this new shape isn't that bad, love the interior and you can sure can tell its a swift, if Suzuki do make a attitude in this new model im sure I will be down at the dealership viewing it 😊
The Swift has always been one of the best looking and most reliable of the small cars. Great reviewTish and a beautiful setting too.
A very informative review. I like the updated Shift which is subtle and conservative in contrast to the rather 'in your face' designs of the Citroen C3, Peugeot 20/08 and Corsa. I don't think the small car is dead yet, and I can't help thinking that Ford were premature in terminating their great Fiesta. Ford sales aren't great at the moment across Europe and I feel that the new Renault 5 will slot into the gap left by the Fiesta. The Shift also seems to represent very good value for money and is functional. I think this one could do quite well in terms of sale figures.
Well presented Tish, and put together - I wish I could have a camera person to assist with filming 😅
A good review, well done .
Great and informative review. I really like the 2 tone interior.
Glad you enjoyed it
Bordeaux! Nobby on cars an Irish channel seamed to love his one he got to test, needs be in that deep velocity red The front end in this PAINT reminds me of over over safe OAP market styling like current gen Jazz. The Sport when out will as ever be great. Best guess. I like a Swift, never havent.
By far the best Swift 2024 review
Another great well presented review Tish. You are a natural in front of the camera.
Thank you so much 🙂
Looks nice, like that they have improved the sound proofing. Interior is looking a bit old, they missed the opportunity here to update it a bit IMO. Greqt review though, thanks.
Good video I think the out side changes look good
Funky. I agree with (I.I.A.B.D.F.I.) you. It still stands out and love, love the green/yellow. Nice shirt.
Does the front end look a bit new TVR? Another great video Tish
Loved your explanation sweetheart ❤
The 2 tone interior is a big improvement over the all black of the other trim level.
Have suzuki added any kind of security to the vehicles keyless entry system they reduces the chance of the keyless entry signal being intercepted from external sources?
I'm still driving my 2019 swift MT and done 140K and never had single issue. Impressive bubble car lol
Hey ! Love the suzuki swift, I have a question, if possible it would be great if you did the Nissan Magnite or the Omoda C5 or C9 Love the videos and good for you trying new trendy outfit styles love it🤙🏼🩵
Excellent review.Still, I am glad i own the previous generation 1.0 turbo version with 6 speed auto. Its a fantastic engine / transmission combo. I prefer its stying and all black interior too. Also, i feel rotary dials for climate controls are easier to use than mere buttons. I hope you will place more emphasis on ride comfort of cars in your future reviews since its crucial to most buyers
Great review excited to drive it when it launches in India soon!
Great review, Tish, and delivered in a very informative and down-to-earth style. I think the pale yellow colour transforms the look of the car - I love it. This car is definitely on my short list for next swap and as I tend to keep my cars for a long time, the fact that it is naturally aspirated is a huge plus in terms of reliability and repair bills. Actually, the last new Suzuki I bought was an SC100 - also known as the Whizz Kid - and although the engine was fabulous, unfortunately everything else wasn't. This was back in 1981 and had carburettors with very narrow jets to comply with Japanese regulations of the time so it stuttered along and wouldn't pull cleanly. This was easily rectified by having the carbs re-jetted by a specialist. Unfortunately the car was rear engined and the Japanese hadn't quite got the hang of rear engined technology at that time so the gearbox seized up one morning on my way to work in central Manchester and caused a traffic jam. Not much fun. Also, as the car was very low and tiny, it appeared to be invisible to other traffic. I bought it in August 1981 and by December of that year I was on my fourth rear bumper. Despite all that it was fun and hasn't put me off the brand and I'm sure the latest products are brilliant. I would have no qualms about buying a new Swift.
Just bought one waiting for delivery as a oap the selling point to me had to be the hybrid along with the detailed information and videos of the Suzuki swift 1.2 hybrid .
❤The way you speak ❤❤❤❤❤
Good value for money. I love Suzuki. It is a bestseller in India. We can not see multicolor interior in Poland. East country so we used to black interior. Two colors interior is really nice. Tanks for you, it is a pleasure to see your filmy.
Your review of the 2019 Swift Sport helped me decide to buy one
What I like about the Swift is the good looks from Gen 1 to latest. Bonus is the fuel economy and ample power for its size and weight.
How is the build quality mam ?
I really like it and would definitely consider it. Love the fact that it offers a manual box in a world that's fast moving away from this.
Somebody I love ❤
Reliable, budget friendly and enjoyable to drive. These are what make the Swift popular in India.
Ford Puma lite from the front lol. Some Chrome around that grill would really make it look better.
I rather like the two tone despite the 'cheap' plastics. IMHO Far better than all black as you suggest.
I just love her accent...can listen to this accent all day.
sound proofing and fun to drive is the crown of the swift
For sure!
Could you shed some light on engine part What is the mileage It would be useful for us???
6:40 beautiful shot!
this is fantastic
Good review! How does this new swift stack up against the new yaris in your experience?
The Yaris has a more sophisticated power train and better fuel economy but is quite a bit more expensive. They are both great cars and will be reliable vehicles long term. I would pick the Suzuki due to it being better value. I also think the Suzuki has a more solid feel about it.
Tish love to see you review the new MG 3 hybrid + model.Price is bonkers for all the tech and 64 mpg.
Does it make effect on refinement as they change it from 4 cylinder to 3 cylinder & its acceleration & on its top speed watching from India
Heated seats are included although only one setting. It seems that some features such as fog lamps are available in different markets.
Yep, available in India.. currently own a 2nd Gen Swift, love it dearly.
Love your wonderful presentations of all those cars which you put your hands on🤩❤
The new facelift Swift will be launching in India in a month or two and here I am watching this video hoping it is the same facelift version. Although I'm not sure if the hybrid system ( along with a few more features ) will be launched here. Btw, loved watching your vid. Cheers!
What is the launch date of new swift in india if u know plz tell I have to purchase this beauty
Fantastic Colour!!!!
It really is!
Very nice video...❤
How is the steering wheel in the left side of the car in the UK? It must be on the right?
Abhi bahut duniya dekhna baki hai bhai apko😅😂
Don't know why, but for me that front doesn't work and looks odd. Its a pity as previous Swifts have all looked fine. Back end still looks ok though. The Swift is a good compromise between small car and just enough room for practicality.
I cant believe they still have manual transmission in UK..in India they introduced an automated manual transmission, which is neither a CVT nor Torque Converter.
Nice and precised review. From India
Thanks for watching!
What millage 1liter petrol
is a right hand drive version available?
Yes, I was just in France to test it ☺️
4:56 I would rather a view from rear passenger for this part.
A Swift lover from India, great vid! Subscribed.
5:25 I see a flat or D shaped wheel is more comfortable, especially on long driving.
You do need a 12 volt power supply to power the tyre inflation compressor.
A minimalist interior to a little mazda front exterior with an old swift head lights shape. What happened? But who knows if you see it in personal. Can't wait to see the swift sports.
could u say how is the build quality , has the sheet metal quality is improved?
I quite like It, I wish there was soft touch materials rather than cheap plastic 😊
8:50 Facts
Very good cars in a shrinking class , great value too .
Couldn't agree more!
(1:37) higher placed bonnet, if you were mentioning about the panel gap, actually it looks different I would have prefered if they had stopped the excess panel gap @ the headlights..coming to the side the panel gap should have been minimal like the rest of the car "higher placed bonnet feel just between the headlights"
Mileage?
Where are the fog lamps?
What is price
The one Thing that I'm a bit disappointed is that they changed to a 3cyl and is a bit low on power, although I think the swift may weight less than a Ton it should retain its fun factor on the road but I wish it had at least a 100hp ( without the aid of the hybrid sys)1.3ltr engine giving it a bit more of low end torque.
So I have configured a Swift GLX with full option and leather interior. It has parking sensors, cruise control, roof box and dash cam....it costs €36,500.
Many of those things are not even available in the UK 😅😅
Greetings from Belgium.
I have 2013 swift. Great pickup, simple minimalist design, fuel economy, way better than Fabia, micra, polo, brio and i10
I love your British accent ❤
I thought it wasn't a new platform? Anyway, thanks for the review. Car is still great if want small one. But inside could have been better.
I’m going back and fourth on this because What car said it’s not but I did ask one of the people at Suzuki and they told me it is a new platform. The information I have says ‘ the new Swift rests on the established platform known as ‘HEARTECT’ that delivers enhanced fundamental vehicle performance, due to being both lightweight, and rigid, a comprehensive overhaul of the underbodies structure and component layout, during development resulted in the adoption of a highly rigid frame that enhances collision safety, and has continuous, smooth, curving form to help dispense energy quicker. Adopting Suzukis latest generation platform strategy minimise the size of the engine compartment, which is unable to maximise in the space available for cabin, occupants and luggage.’ 🤔
@@AutoSocialUK Thanks for the update.
Nice car, I owned a diesel Swift ten years ago. Nice colour, but it's green not yellow!
Wao u both look beautiful..😊
Where are the fog lights ??
Fog lamps missing gives the car a deadpool vibes. Deadpool doesnt have a face, but this is also very similar. 'Missing vibe ' none the less
Great review btw however my grouch is with Suzuki. This is an iconic car that we have all grown to love however reducing one cylinder without any increase in horsepower is definitely a regression. This will sure bite you in the ass.
I don't care of the cheap plastic,, its easy to clean, and why should you have leather? i don't touch it during driving.😂
Ikr! And that plastic will last literally forever
It's a shame that the All-wheel drive models of the Suzuki swift would not come to India. I would love the hybrid model to come here in India touting a mileage of 40kmpl. This single-handedly would put a stop to the sales of Royal Enfield bikes with a mileage of 33kmpl. I mean imagine when a car can give a better mileage than your bike then why ride a motorcycle. Leaving that the only contender it goes against are bajaj splendor that still gives a mileage of 60kmpl or more. That swift will put the operating costs to around Rs 2-3/km. pretty insane in 2023 if you ask so. plus the comfort it provides apart from a motorcycle. it might be a steal of a deal in 2024.
This car is really missing a pair of fog lights in the front bumper with some kind of garnish or plastic frame with chrome finish.
My favourite Car Swift.Best in class.love from India 🎉🎉
Safety Rating?
What is ncap rating? Have you heard about the Tata motors?
No . . .
When it will be launched in India?
Swift lover❤
