Bunch of Rulers Forged into Damascus - This knife rules
Thanks for giving 20 minutes of your worthy time, I hope you will enjoy this process.
On the Public demand I forged a Damascus Cleaver But the challenging part was stainless steel forging with Carbon steel. I used Rulers for making the Billet and most of the rulers belongs to martensitic Stainless steel family which are rich in carbon content but magnetic also.
The Core of Cleaver was made of 5160 High carbon steel and the outer layers were ''Rain Drop stainless steel Damascus''.
I made this Japanese style cleaver for my own use and it is NOT FOR SALE sadly but very soon I am launching my store so, stay connected to enjoy the beautiful stuff.
The handle was made with Japanese style, using hard wood with hexagons texture.
The guard was made of 304 grade stainless steel which is very durable against rust attacks and belongs to austenitic family but has low carbon content.

i never thought that rulers could ever make such a beautiful blade, amazing work man🙏
I just wish he hadn’t dunked it not a huge fan of the darkened parts
On the contrary, I feel that the dark patches enhance it.
When I was in school teacher used these steel rulers to beat students
Schools really been silent after this 💀
They be like: 👁👄👁
💀💀💀
Бунт будет 1 сентября 🧦😈
😊
😊
Beautiful work. I was a little confused at first when drilling the pivot holes but then after seeing the pattern I completely understood why you did that. Big fan of your work
This is how you make raindrop Damascus
I understand now why quality handmade items like these can cost so much.
You're truly a man with many skills. The blade is a thing a beauty. Awesome work.
I just love the way how u make new and cooler weapons by scratch ✨✨
Great job on a gorgeous blade! Your knifemaking skills are absolutely amazing, and so is your leatherworking. Thanks for sharing.
Kids in the back of the class:
I love this channel. You guys have come a long way, yet still surprise me.
through the years of watching you ( and that's 4 years) you have never failed to impress. good job.
Wow, it’s nice to actually see someone that knows what they’re doing on youtube
Iron man died in endgame what're you still doing here?
AWESOMENESS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY!!!! You sir are amazingly talented and I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video. Please keep up the great work and I promise I'll keep up on watching your videos!
I've started watching you during Covid-19 pandemic, to be honest you started from scratch with very few materials and equipment, but a lot of talent and creativity, I congratulate you for all the hard work, it is well deserved, Hope you will prosper even more, Beautiful piece of blade you made here !
This has to be the most beautiful blade of Damascus I’ve ever saw in forge history ‼️ overly top tier
Hours, days, weeks, months, years and decades of educational experience has allowed these men to create works of brilliant art! 😊 It's incredible that the new minutes, hours, days, weeks and months to create this beautiful masterpiece is documented and condensed into a 20 minute video for us to watch and marvel. It's incredible TWENTY MINUTES make this look so simple and easy, but omg the real time and tooling and skill and effort it all took to create this amazing cleaver is sooo awesome, I've run out of praising words! It's refreshing that such trades exist amid the politics and drama of western life. Once again, thank you guys for what you do!!!
It would be great if you could add short text explanations/descriptions letting us know what process you are showing us and what ingredients/chemicals/substances you are using.
Your videos were my inspiration in getting into restoration, and learning skills like wood and metalworking. Another amazing project as always, keep up the amazing work!
Меня ничего в этой жизни не вдохновит, кроме того как сидеть в телефоне

I find it extremely thoughtful that when you bind the steel to another piece you kind of blur it so it doesn’t hurt the viewers eyes. I appreciate that a lot. Also this piece turned out beautifully. Your work is amazing ❤
2:56 the irony is just too funny for me 😅
Man your works on blades are getting more impressive each time😊😊😊😊😊😊
Amazing transformation! I'll never look at my steel ruler in the same way again!😆
It's amazing Craftsmanship like this that makes me wish schools weren't slowly getting rid of wood and metal shop classes
This is next level workmanship. Absolutely outstanding. 👏
Next level of what?
@no taboos It means his workmanship is of extremely high quality, comparable to other metal workers who have a lesser skill or ability.
This is one of your best so far. The damascus really pops. I like the sheath making, that's unusual on this channel, and the waxed leather technique is a new one to me.
Every time I watch your videos I learn something new !!!! Great blade Brother.
That is some gorgeous Raindrop Damascus my good sir. I'd be proud to have that in my kitchen.
Absolutely beautiful result! Well done.
forging a 24k Gold sword out of rusted iron chain

The most beautiful knife I have ever seen, you sir, are a true professional.
this is an incredibly beautiful cleaver - one of the nicest i've seen in quite a while!
the entire video im there like: wow this is so cool, and then it just keeps getting cooler and cooler
What liquid did you use to make the patterns clear
I remember using the same kind of rulers in art class in school. And I always thought they would look cool.If someone made them into a knife or a sword!
That rain drop pattern looks amazing you made a very beautiful cleaver.
Thank you for choosing Japanese knives from among many knives! From Japan🇯🇵
What a beautiful looking blade, great job.
Wow completely package, amazing skill, beautiful blade, good looking, i like the design, almost perfect done, thank you❤
Beautiful knife. Great job as always! Master
Absolutely beautiful. ESP the part that serves as the barrier from the blade to the handle. Awesome shape design. I’ll be watching more as this is something I’ve always enjoyed, especially the restore videos.
awesome work of art blade, well done, love the step by step visual build
Incredible skill and workmanship. True work of art
Just a stunning cleaver, knife for life. Makes me want to make my own, keep up the amazing videos 👍
The dimming of the welding on screen always cracks me up! 😂
Restoration videos are capable of evoking feelings of nostalgia. They remind us of the craftsmanship and attention to detail in the past 👍👍👍
Pov: that one little kid that loses against you 1:36- 2:05 trust me you will be shocked
Whoever is reading this comment, I wish you success, health, love and happiness
This is a work of art. I almost cringed and didn't want him to cut those vegetables and chicken. Just keep them in perpetual display. Beautiful. God bless.
this video made me learn that damascus is made almost exactly how i expected; by slamming a bunch of metal together in specific ways until it looks cool
Absolutely beautiful - a peace of art!
masha allah. what a beautiful knife. so much skills, even made a sheath. wow. you are the forged in fire champion!
That cleaver is beautiful, and if it's taken care of, it'll still be beautiful in 500 years.
That is a beautiful chopper there! Nice job guys.

Thank you for this video and for your attention to the viewers. Best wishes
Sometimes on longer videos I tend to find myself wanting to skip forward thru parts because of my ADD/short attention span...but I found myself sitting thru watching every bit of this video without once jumping forward haha. Awesome work man...craftmanship like this truly is an art form of it's own. Well done 🫡
Awesome skills! It was fun to watch process. I liked how you used a ruler to measure on top of the forged rulers. I like that kind of "irony".
That turned out absolutely fantastic keep up the awesome work
What's better than a work of art? A functional work of art.
Any idea what steel those scales were made from? May have just made a beautiful paper weight.
Absolutely gorgeous! Amazing work of art!
Had to leave another comment, loved you welding that tang extension. Hate seeing all these blacksmiths afraid of fixing there knives with welding. A good weld is as good as a bar from the mill
Creativity in making handmade knives is definitely a high price, craftsmen really like their work 20:32
You have some unique ideas dude
I truly love your channel bro, keep doing the best work ❤❤❤
beautiful knife, great job man, what kind of spray do use for the wood-handle in this vid??
Beautiful as always
I like that a ruler was used to measure its dead friends. Like ‘see this, this is what happens if you fail me’.
Hermoso trabajo. ¡Felicitaciones! Beautiful job. Congratulations!
I love sleeping watching the videos of this wonderful channel❤
Bro Killed The Entire Generation of Rulers 💀
Wicked sick but I am curious.. How'd the ink/markings on the rulers not cause delams?
I really wish that you make storm breaker
I have this project in my idea list
@@RandomHands aoa thanks but I can't wait
My man got epic weapon skin using exploits (that’s actually unique and creative to be honest).
Thanks for the tutorial...I'll get started right away on making one of these.
Such a Beatiful thing... What a thought, what a skill, what a work... Awesome
That's one of the most beautiful and clean pattern I've seen
Wouahhh "damas" 😂😂 the King 👑 !,waouh 🤩
ive recently watched a load of the tv competition show 'Forged in Fire' & i like the show i found it interesting and have learnt a lot watching it. And after watchin this video - i must say thats some BEAUTIFUL Work. One Fine Japanese Cleaver and sheath I Really enjoyed watching the video and seeing what you created so thank you very much for sharing
But if you watched Forged in Fire, you should know that this Blade is not a forged Blade. He only forged the Rulers into the Damascus and then just cut the Steel into shape. It’s still a lot of work, but not forged!
If there's a zombie apocalypse I am going to this guy's house
Gorgeous Damascus line. Good job congratulations.👍👏👏🙌
Why did the blade change colors at 8:04? It looks like boiling water or is it some chemical? would really like a explanation :D
2:56 the ruler screaming
You are a true craftsman my friend 👌
Beautiful Work!
Wow! Looks beautiful! Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷
you never fail to impress us with your immaculate work and ideas love it ❤
very beautiful and in the welding part it is blurred so that the eyes of the audience are not dazzled, it is very good👍👏👏
I was fully expecting a Damascus ruler at the end for the comedy
OMG, this is so beautiful blade. Amazing work
You guys are proud of Pakistan. I belief that you live in Punjab and Lahore Wish that will love to meet you. The Talent you guys have is that doesn't to introduce yourself. Internationally people watch your videos and they are so satisfying to watch without skipping a second is simply a great achievement and a slap over daily Vloging content creators. Love you Guys so much
Lol I didn't know you were from pakistan .. GREAT TALENT THERE God bless u and your skills
Una joyita de acero. Simplemente maravilloso.🛠🗡🖤👍
This is true art at it's best.
7:58 mustve been magic water to get that beautiful pattern, honestly man that is remarkbale
Well done. The result looks so beautiful.😍😍
Beautiful knife with damascus pattern, It's just a pity that the handle of the knife is too short and has to be connected, why didn't you exaggerate the handle for the knife at the start of the manufacture? Success is always for you. Greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩🙏
Very Beautiful piece!!!
every sec was mesmerising
sir i had a question about the quenching, wouldn't quenching just the edge force the carbon molecules in the steel to move towards the spine of the blade making the spine harder and edge softer
