    • Your welding is good enough to do the job. Why don't you use a saturated borax solution insead of the quenching oil to ensure forge welding in the beginning? It would penetrate the layers better and you have use borax later anyway.

You can Just Grind flat the back of your integral at 90degrees and Drill a hole for a m6 or m8 threaded bolt and then Just cut the thread. Safes a Ton of Time and helps me with the etching of my gomai and damascus because of the removable handle. Best Greetings from Shirknives 🙌🏽

      @jhublades@jhublades9 ай бұрын
    • Hey Jesse, No worries Its super durable. Ive started with m8 but switched to m6 because Its More strong then Ever needed. Helps me a lot with the facettes of my knife without worrying about grinding into the Tang or what Not. You Can use loctite Strong for the end of the bolt in the Tang or 24h epoxy. Was a gamechanger for me and Even helps with less pattern distortion. A Good anneal is needed but Even drilling in Apex Ultra is no Problem. Hit me up if There Are questions

You'll probably know, already, that if you use the very tips of the calipers you'll get a different measurement than if you use the meat of the jaws.
