Rockstar Games finally gave us the first glimpse of the long awaited and highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6. Lasting a bit over a minute, the first trailer gave us a good look at the world and what to expect from the story. Needless to say, it looks really great and is definitely going to be on top of our wish lists for some time to come.
Coming to the technical side of things, Grand Theft Auto 6 marks the debut of the developer’s newest version of the RAGE engine on current-gen consoles, and it looks nothing short of breathtaking. With this video, we take a deep dive into the game’s trailer and break down each individual aspects of the presentation from lighting to textures and much more.
When GTA 6 releases it will set two world records. 1. Most money earned in a single day by any media. 2. Most call offs and vacation time ever recorded.

@@888MikeM888 I'm not sure, but I'm thinking you're confusing the airboat for the Vortex, which was a hovercraft. But if the two, I'm definitely more excited to see an airboat. That thing will be so much fun.
You can see a Kayak next to one of the life guard huts on the beach in the trailer. Considering you could canoe in RDR2 i would imagine it will be included in GTA VI. But who knows 🤷♂️

@@IskenderCaglarM41B441 they semi work in V. Like you'll see some blurry shapes that could be the road or buildings, but you won't see anything actually reflected. There are probably some PC mods that do it.

3:14 This is a little silly. While fog has been used in the past to mask drawbacks in the distance (used extensively in older GTA games, of course), the draw distance in this very trailer is demonstrably gigantic, so the fog here is used exclusively for ambiance.
For this specific shot yes. But for the oppening aerial shot of ViceCity, it is OBVIOUS that Rockstar used the fog to hide the rest of the city and make it look bigger. There is no shame into it, but the fog in this specific shot is definitly here to hide the rest of the city. In the GTA 5 trailer, some areas of the map are simply missing. You have to remember that If they could have released GTA6 in 2024, they would have done so. There is still a lot of work to do. The map itself is finished that's for sure but the buildings, streets assets are probably not. And that's clever. The whole trailer is based on this objective : Showing a lot without actually showing anything that will potentially not make it into the final version.
Bounce lighting: the part where Lucia turns away from the prison window there is bounce light reflecting off her jump suit, making her jaw and lower cheek area have an orange tint.
I already know I’m going to finish the story mode atleast twice before even hopping online! Can’t wait for the game and to explore the new map,cars, clothes, etc…

Online is always added a few months after release. You can only play story mode the first month or two. This is how they did for GTA 5 and RDR2. Pretty sure they’ll do it for GTA VI

Based on the trailer, this game will also have improved drifting mechanics for cars. GTA IV and GTA V also had that but in this game it will probably be more refined.

Based on what ? The cinematic where Lucia and Jason car's drift on a predetermined path ? Cmon... The new drift mechanic in GTA 5 will probably make it to GTA 6, but the trailer and even the leaks did not show anything about cars if not destructible/detachable parts and GTA5 arcadish driving (maybe a placeholder).
@@ScottMccain117based on many things, like R* bought fiveM and works with many developers from FiveM, also they already implemented fivem driving model in GTA V Online, its almost sure we will have much better and deeper car mechanics...

A cool easter egg for Rockstar to add into the game would be the skunk ape (Florida's bigfoot) and put it somewhere in the Everglades. Kind of how GTA San Andreas had the bigfoot that could be found in the countryside.

hope this doesn't sound bad about GTA V graphically cannot compare, GTA V looks cartoon-ish alongside GTA VI but I keep forgetting how long it has been since we got a GTA game 😂😂😂 10yrs (I'm not forgetting rdr2 and those graphics) but timeline gta always makes leaps and bounds on anything new

im hoping it will be a shorter time frame, like 2-3 months considering Rockstar has bought out fivem and has hired modders from fivem rp servers to their staff. there's no doubt they are tapping into the PC market. it wont launch simultaneously, but it wont be as a long as before in previous titles. i would assume a year after being the latest, but nothing shorter than 2 months

If you watch gta 5 trailer you’ll see that everything u see in the trailer is the game itself from cutscenes to gameplay an it looked exactly how it did in the game that’s what they do so every thing u see in this is how it’s gunna look in the actual game.

I was planning to buy a ps5 the next year...but i also don't want to be stuck playing at 30fps..is it wise to invest in a gaming pc?
If you play the game in performance mode then you can play the game at 60-120 fps but quality will be sacrificed, it's not that bad though it just won't be in 4k. Don't buy a gaming PC instead build one because you save way more money and it can last way longer because you already know how to take it apart and clean it, also GTA6 for the PC won't release until 2027-2030

I was just talking to my brother about graphics on these consoles, and how will they will perform. I believe we will get Perfomance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X running at 2K in 60fps, while Visuals setting will display 4K RT but in 30fps, as for the Series S, I think it will be Perfomance in 1080p running in 60, while the Visuals will run in 2K at 30. That's just my guess
More like 1440p/30fps on ps5/series x and 1080p/30fps on series s. No performance modes.

I prefer games to have their own distinctive look, not make them look like reality, reality looks boring, that's why people use filters and such to beautify it when taking videos or a pictures. There's leaked footage of the alpha game running in very low quality. So I imagine when done and fully optimised, it'll run like the trailer on the top platforms, but it absolutely will support running at lower quality on lesser platforms

both. R* always use cutscene to make trailer. so real game is look same trailer.
Along the lines of the animation of the characters, look at the intricacies of their facial expressions. You can see movement in their lips and cheeks. Something I don’t think we’ve seen in any game before. Subtle expressions that really give off a sense of emotion. Which I hope carries over to people on the street and just not main characters. What I would love to see is some sort of AI interaction, where we could interact with anybody and make them a friend or acquaintance to help us throughout the game. Kind of a tit for tat kind of thing. Where they can call you and ask you to do something for them vice versa. I also hope that there are more side jobs and an actual casino in single player. It really pissed me off that rockstar kept the casino only for multiplayer when they opened it. I also thought it was stupid that they didn’t have an operational horse racing track. Which was right next to the casino. Why have it there if you’re not going to let people interact with it? I think that player should be able to live a life outside of the main story and side quests. Meaning that they could take on nine to fives or something different. I also thought that it was a wasted opportunity in GTA that they had the comedy club, but couldn’t go in and watch comedians. Though recently, at night, I was walking around the streets and went on the comedy stores patio and they had a carbon copy Joe Rogan standing there. Who actually chased after me after I got too close to him. Lol. He was short, like he is in real life. Which I thought was a great touch. Regardless, I’m just hoping that the game is more interactive outside of the missions and they integrate a lot of what they do in multiplayer in single player.,

This one needs multiple endings and permanent side character deaths. Lots of variety so you can play the game again from start over and over again.

i’ve never been hyped for gta 6 , and actually disliked the game cause it always got delayed and had too many similarities to its predecessor gta v . But now that i see gaming is pretty much dead . this is probaly the one and only game that won’t be too crappy , i mean it is in vice city on newer consoles.. so it can’t be entirely bad. I grew up playing my favorite games like spongebob & god of war. I think this is all we need.. just a game we’re it’s challenging and you can have fun doing missions in a time run. Most gamers resorted to pc mods, but the fact that it’s pretty expensive & causes games to crash is the reason why i stayed away from that.. seeing a play though of gta mods by tgg is nonetheless fine..

Or just get a PS5 and wait for the PS6 because when the PS5 pro comes out, you will own that console for 2 1/2 years until the PS6 releases in those 2 1/2 years. Also the PS5 will be cheaper than PS5 pro and there are not many PS5 exclusives coming out anyways. Btw a console can last for about 8 years+ depending on how well you maintain it.

You can play Fortnite, any call of duty, Warframe, destiny 1/2, Overwatch 2, paladins, any battle royal, H1Z1, Genshin Impact, and any multiplayer shooters without a PS+ subscription. The only games that are required online are mostly GTA online, Red dead 2 online and a few trash multiplayer games. The toxic PC community told you a lie! Btw not all PC gamers are toxic.

Look at it like this, we all will have to start our accounts from scratch making us all vulnerable & we will be forced to buy atleast $100 worth of shark cards atleast in the beginning to get started! So I predict GTA Online 2 to sell $100 worth of shark cards to around 25 million of us equaling more than $2.5 Billion! All this in the 1st 1-2 years after release!

It’s not the graphics or the game engine that is making the game look great. It’s the density of the assets and the characters. From lots of items on the grocery store shelves to hundreds of people in a scene and thousands of cars on the freeway none of that is going to work on your PS five. What will come out at launch will be a good looking game, but also an empty world.
The game does look impressive, but I do think that it will have downgrades that will compared to the inevitable PS6 and next-gen Xbox versions.

@@michubern1444that's a huge reach. It doesn't look anywhere near a next generational leap forward graphically. We are talking about 13 year old assets of GTA 5 and 6 just doesn't look that much better. There's obviously a fidelity boost and some finer details and improvements in character models but it's not that impressive. Red Dead 2 was the last Rockstar Game that really looked like a leap forward graphically.
@@murrproductions9654 yeah this is the next version of the same engine rdr2 uses...i love rdr2 and i played it in 4k on pc so i know how good it looks but this is even crazier in every aspect. I think the current consoles will struggle 60 fps with this level of details
@@michubern1444 I don't think it looks crazier then Red Dead 2. I watched the gta 6 trailer in upscaled 4k because the actual trailer itself isn't in native 4k. I found several shots that looked eeriely similar to gta 5 such as the opening bridge shot, dirt bike shots etc.
