Appetite for Fallout is at an all-time high given the whirlwind success of Prime Video’s TV adaption, a show which has amassed an audience of 65 million. Understandably, players have flocked towards the games, with Bethesda reckoning they’ve seen an influx of 5 million to their post-apocalyptic RPG series.
Fallout 4 is currently the cream of the crop but given rumors circulating since less than a year ago of Fallout 3’s remaster, attention is starting to turn to Bethesda’s radically re-worked RPG from isometric role player to open world FPS. As much as Fallout 3 is loved by those who’ve played it, there’re plenty of imperfections. This video will explore the reasons why Fallout 3 is so revered and argue that it should be remade rather than simply remastered.

Unless you are working 24/7 or have kids, make time to get into gaming, it's a great pastime. The age of watching football while drinking beer, has come and gone.

Not sure if they would remake it, BUT i hope to god they do cause it was my first fallout game and i lovef every second of it, the story, the quest, the characters, the companions are fun aswell.
For me even just a fully patched HD remaster would suffice but that's already asking too much for Bethesda.

The game should be the same with a graphical overhaul, extra things from Fallout 4 added in and perhaps some new quests and locations. I don’t want it just to be a simple resolution boost but also not quite a full on remake.

I would rather them remake fallout 1 or 2 instead of 3. Part of the reason I love fallout 3 is the Nostalgia factor and the older graphics. I think it would be better to remake the first 2 games because most haven't played them.
Just finished playing it again last week. Didn't really have any issues with any of the the things here, I don't care if there is still edible food, there is in Fallout 4 too, it was a little on rails but not if you just chose to take breaks from the story and go exploring, graphics didn't bother me but I assume the re-master would sharpen that up anyway. The only thing I would change was the inability to keep playing after you finish the main storyline without a DLC. I'd change that so you can just keep exploring and encountering things. The way I played, sticking to the main storyline, it just ended up being too short. Especially considering how many hours I've sunk into it in the past when I strayed from the storyline and just went out there. There's a LOT of stuff in The Capital Wasteland if you go looking for it. I'd be happy if they just buffed it up a little.
Remake or Remaster, just something. But i hope they still keep what made it good, while also giving us enhanced visuals, quality of life features that 4/76 had, and 64 bit support. One other thing too, I would like to have Random Encounters be similar to like Skyrim and Fallout 4 where after a while the encounter is replaced with a different one, so if the UFO happens at the super duper mart, next time you come back, it could be people fighting over a fridge, or ben canning, or whatever it could be.
I’m playing fallout 3 on a 4070ti now it it runs just fine. Looks great actually. Maybe the original games like 1 and 2 could do with a remake, not 3 though.

I would probably prefer to see maybe Fallout 1 or Fallout 2 remade. Like I love Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but the best part about them was the RPG and we have already experienced them. I have never played fallout 1 or 2, I think I would prefer to see those come to life. Besides that, just a new good entry into the series. Maybe one taking place in texas, Hollywood, Miami, etc. Some big places with cool lore

Why do we keep getting remakes? Remasters I get, texture pack, trophy list, profit. (Of course that's the quick easy version). But a full remaster of a game that size. Put those resources into the next elder scrolls or God forbid, something original that might work upon release

We don’t need a remake or remaster of fallout 3 it’s time we moved on it was great for the time but it has aged horribly not the gameplay but the story, same thing goes for new Vegas. It’s like everybody has put on there rose tinted glasses and can’t let this s**t go, since fallout tv series has taken us back to the fallout 3 era of the story just on west coast instead of the east coast.

It’s too easy to just tart-up the graphics and then call it a day. I played the hell out of this game when it was new but, even going back to it after New Vegas, it lacks so much. As the narrator mentioned, there’s almost no fresh / cooked food in the game, just pre-war pre-packed food. I suppose that could be a jab at the sheer amount of preservatives in it, but after NV and F4 let us gather and cook food, create medicines and chems, craft stimpaks and so on, F3 needs a crafting system. The gunplay sucks - end of. It needs to be brought up to at least F4 standard. I hope they keep the art-deco look of DC but a graphical upgrade is definitely needed. There needs to be some more variety, too. More than two styles of door, more varied interior decoration, have the Love Machine theme come with an actual hooker / ability to bed your companions…oops, did I type that last one out loud? There’s a lot to do to bring it up to modern standards so I don’t think they’ll bother, but it’s nice to dream.

I disagree with "No. Enouph remakes." Only I say remake Fallout 1 and 2... Old school players like me understand the allure of those text based, turn-based RPG style games.. Well, I would call it "nostalgia" more than "allure", but even though I played the first Fallout game in '98, when gaming became heavily advanced over the next few years those first two games are now so outdated and leaves a lot to be desired... The younger generation will not be very interested in those games, and after the tv show even my older brother is interested in the Fallout games and wanted to know where to start, and I knew the first two games were not for him as a first experience... So yeah, please re-make those so younger generations can enjoy, and even someone like me who has been playing Fallout close to the beginning, who would actually love to see the first two games with better graphics and... Well, just fleshing out a great story with better graphics that don't fall dead on old technology. As far as Fallout 3, it's fine and doesn't need a remake, A remaster with some kinda new DLC add ons would suffice. Remaster it to be something more like Fallout 4, a creators club and new DLC's and stuff. Any rate, just my opinion as a long time super-fan.✌️

I want the power armor to work the same as in 4. Also if they bring back the weapon condition feature they should make it so i can fix my weapon with junk and it useful the way they did in 4 instead of me having to carry copies of the gun around for when one starts to break down. Lastly, i want to have survival mode incorporated in to the game. (And maybe rework the perk/ leveling system with the level cap also removed.)

@@DooMedEarth81 yeah i find it way more immersive than power armor simply being the best form of clothing in the game. It had varied functionality depending on how you upgraded it and if you didnt want to use power armor we got ballistic weave to make almost any set of cloths become a viable option in the late game for defense. They did the power armor right by making feel more like an actual tank.
I biggest disappointment for fallout 3 was the underwhelming PA. After playing f1 f2 and tatics the power srmor in f3 was pathetic. Very happy f4 got it right.

If you need a team of entry levels to work on something, getting the FO3 generation with the FO4 armor system and weapon crafting mechanic would be worth it. But for the love of God, no touching the dialogue system!

New Vegas is far more deserving! Simply because you can see it's problems and where they had to take short cuts. Fallout 3 seemed complete, not much can be added to make that game better other than tech advancements. New Vegas, you can do so much more such as make the Strip bigger, add more to the wasteland and add more for Legion players (they clearly rushed Legion in that game) Imagine seeing the Strip in the distance at night on modern technology! You'd be so gravitated to it
@@razzprince2877if have to disagree. Fallout 3 has many things that need fixed. We need to be allowed to join more factions such as the enclave for the ending. We need a fix to the metros being a main source of traversal possibly getting rid of some of the rubble in the city. They should possibly fix up the armor system in fallout 3 considering power armor is just way too op to not always use or the fact the t51b winterized is the my broken armor in the game ruining progression. I think a remake of fallout 3 is a very much needed
@@Xtermenator217 I feel like all of them issues with Fallout were developer choices whereas New Vegas was clearly a case of not having enough time or the technology. Of course there's improvements that can be made but at release, Fallout 3 was a complete game. It's only years down the line, we have these issues.... New Vegas was a half effort from launch and they still didn't allow for patches.

Fallout 3 and NV vegas need full remakes in a UE5 but Bethesda lacks the talent. Microsoft needs to recruit all the old fnv devs who left from obsidan and remake FNV in UE5 engine. Remasters are pointless the Tale of Two Wasteland mod plus the mods from the wasteland survival guide, is a far better remaster than Bethesda is capable of.

It would need a remake. I tried playing this and it’s just not fun playing it in 2024. The game is hideous. The colors suck. It definitely shows its age. But it won’t get remade. Bethesda had all of the time for a Fallout 4 remaster and what they pushed out was an atrocity.
Obviously, you haven't played Fallout 3 yourself. The character in the video is a lvl 2-3 so her gunplay sucks and she's using beginner weapons. Get Jericho as your follower and up to lvl 15-17 he keeps you alive. After that, sadly, you end up babysitting so you send him back to Megaton to retire. Stealth attacks do double damage, resulting in instant kills, so crouch and approach cautiously. Silent Running and high agility are must haves. Then there are perks for melee or ranged builds that are enhancing your abilities. Lastly, The Fallout games, first and foremost , are RPG, not shooters. That's why Fallout 4 sucks. There are also mods that can add to that. Long range VATS, increased damage per level, etc. Small mods that make a HUGE difference. As for VATS, it's not a chore, i have it on one of the thumb buttons, on a 5 button mouse. Easier than a flick of the wrist. And i still get chills from those slow motion VATS shooting.
