Every Halloween, especially in states where weed is legal (I live in California), you'll hear about people giving out their edibles during trick or treating. Seeing how expensive edibles are, no one doing that.
Where I’m from, (upstate ny) they give away edibles but they go straight to the adult trick or treaters 😂
As a seasoned stoner, i don't know any stoner in my neck of the woods (Maine) that wants to give out their edibles. Half the time we don't want trick-or-treaters Lmao

Friendly reminder that one of the only cases of a child dying from poisoned Halloween candy was when Ronald O'Bryan laced HIS OWN SON'S Pixie Stix with cyanide so he could cash in on his life insurance.

Ronald also gave it out to 4 other kids although they survived as the news spread resulting in the pixie stick to be given to the police.
That case took place in Texas in 1974.
To everyone with a black cat as a pet, or honestly cats in general, keep them inside around & during Halloween. Because people have purposely hurt them especially around Halloween....

In 1987, my dad took me trick-or-treating and had the phenomenal bad luck of sneaking a candy out of my hand as I was about to pop it in my mouth. It was the only candy he ate that night. He later went to the hospital due to excessive bleeding on the toilet and discovered he had eaten glass. The candy in question was a caramel. As an adult, I question if the glass was due to manufacturer error vs maliciousness of some person living in Fullerton, CA.

Black cats are the only cats I want to own. Rescued one that ended up in my garage. My grandparents took him and he lives like a king over at there house. I should also mention for as long I can remember they’ve always only had black cats.
I check my Halloween candy for bazookas and grenades.
I always check my Halloween candy after trick or treating and luckily my candy came out clean and free of drugs, razor blades, glass shards and even arsenic along with other poisons.

I think things like Halloween is a nice reminder that most people aren’t sick in the head 🤷🏻♀️🤠👻👺🎃 …Or even like if you’re crossing the street at a busy intersection and no one decided to lift their foot off the break and hit you as you walked by….Little things like that give me faith in humanity💖

I don't think anyone is really putting drugs or poison in candy, but my brother and I have both got rocks wrapped in bubblegum wrappers. But you see it when you open the wrapper... so it's literally more of a lame prank than it is 'dangerous' or poisonous lol

Because I had a friend of mine from a different town share on Facebook that she found ( in a brown bag, done up as a Halloween treat bag ) a whole OTHER bag closed together with a used dispensary sticker. On the inside was a pill. The bag was closed up with the sticker, looked like the kind of parchment you get from cheap dispensary's. You saw the wax (shatter, etc) residue on the parchment, but it looked used. Either way, it's fucked up. A bag, in a bag, had a pill- in kids candy.

My entire childhood I never once checked my candy. But again I’m 30 now
