For people that don't know, 700 people called 911 about these lights/craft. But an estimated 15,000-20,000 people saw this.
A great story is Kurt Russell was flying his son to Phoenix that night in his private plane and he saw these lights and called the tower about it and they had no idea what it was. He forgot all about it until he was watching a UFO show about it and they said a civil aviation pilot reported it and he realized it was him.

You know, I find it rather strange the way the question "Do aliens exist?" is often phrased. Of course we're not alone in the universe, or at least it's extremely unlikely considering how vast the universe is and the astronomical number of planets existing. Still, the universe being so massively big is also why it's unlikely aliens have ever made contact with us. Yet people tend to phrase it that way: either aliens exist and they've come to Earth or they just don't exist, where is the nuance in that? I do have to say though, the Phoenix lights are the most compelling case for real UFOs. All other UFO stories I've heard of always seemed to be stretches and wishful thinking to me but this one? I genuinely can't think of any explanation.

Most likely military tech. They have the ability to fly large V shaped airships that are silent and much, much larger than a football field. This isn't secret as the contractors that designed some have talked about it. Jumping to thinking things in the sky are "aliens" is really a huge leap based on 0 evidence.
@@77dris People can think military tech all day but what is not explainable is the " sound" ...no sound, total silence. You cannot have an aircraft the size of a football field just hovering or moving at very slow speeds without no engine sound. In order for there to be a massive object in the sky it must have something to keep it up, and that is simply an engine of some sorts. This craft (whatever it is) completely avoids the laws of physics, the silence is unexplainable.
Yeah also I find it so odd that people assume/claim to have seen aliens to be humanoid or surviving our atmosphere. Other planets are so diverse regarding their "ingredients" and there could be so many different lifeforms, not just carbon based, that we cannot imagine

But if there is a supposedly a breakaway civilisation, centuries ahead in terms of technology, then it could be possible. If those craft that Bob Lazar saw and worked on, are real. Then yes, a massive silent craft is possible. Personally, I think it was some kind of mass hologram technology test. To see how the public would react.
The way they described "couldn't actually see the mass, could only tell something was blocking the light from the stars" is actually something I've seen a few times myself before ever even hearing about this story, just without the lights.. it's uncanny.

I was around 7 or 8 when this happened. I completely forgot about this occurrence until I started to watch this. I remember my mother being scared for her life and my father joking around whistling the X-Files theme in the car, to creep her out more the night after this happened, when we were going to get dinner. We were living in Las Vegas at the time this happened. Now as an adult, I don't know what to really believe.

i saw the Phoenix lights, i was in my apartment complex as they flew overhead . they were silent, and i remember looking to see if i could spot stars behind them...which i could. so to me they were lights in a V formation. i still don't know what i saw, but they were not flares as far a i could tell. I was used to seeing military planes as well because i was stationed at Luke AFB from 1986-1989. others saw it different than i did, i guess that amazes me...wish i had a video camera at the time!

I was there for this. I'm so excited to watch this. Edit: I'm very surprised I was never spoken upon about the snow during this time. It snowed in Phoenix for 3 days before those lights popped up. It was very strange. It was very hot and it's stuck. When we attempted to melt it after making snowballs, it started dripping this clearish yellow liquid and charring. Around the center of the snowball though started oozing out this oranges red paste like substance. It was very odd. When the snow finally did dissipate around 11:00 a.m. is when I noticed everyone else noticed when it was almost gone around noon. Later that night those lights showed up. Our governor at the time said it was a project from Luke Air Force Base. However, Jan bureau was unable to explain the snow.

As a skeptic myself, I usually wholeheartedly agree with Shane’s perspective on these. But on this one he seemed to really be reaching, almost like he’s playing a contrarian character
Well it's his role. I think they just decided being on the opposite spectrum is kinda their theme so even in cases where he thinks it may be possible, he'd deny it on camera so the two sides of their audience (skeptics and believers) would have a representative.

I was there that thing was unimaginably massive and silent i remember having my tegu lizard outside on our porch for about 10 minutes or so when I noticed he looked up and made a mad dash for the front door scratching at it never seen a large lizard act so spooked so when I stepped off the porch to take a look at what I thought was some arrogant predatory bird, but what i saw directly above a few thousand feet or so is still ingrained in my memory still to this day...
my friends parents told me about this. they are both people of science, doubting almost everything supernatural. when they tell me about this event, they are entirely sure of what they saw. lights going over their city attached to some kind of giant craft. for some reason they always emphasize how quiet it was. they both are engineers, one of them working at an airplane engine manufacturer, and they know how loud engines must be to get something that big in the air. they tell me it should be audible from 30 miles away if something that big was flying, but it was completely silent. insanity.
That’d be so funny if the aliens came to check out Earth, happened to see Phoenix and was like, “Meh. Not interested.” And left.

I was born after this happened but in like 2012-2015, I saw 5 lights in the sky with my mom and sister a few times every few months for that year. My sister told me about the phoenix lights as we watched the lights move slowly for about like 10-15 mins before suddenly disappearing. Every time they showed up again, it’d be in the same spot for the same amount of time. They were far away, in the direction of where Phoenix would be I think, so idk if they were in a v formation but it seemed like it. I’ve never heard of anyone else talk about these lights before that showed up around 2012-2015, but they looked exactly like the Phoenix lights that I’ve seen in vids and pics.

I was 12 yrs old when this happen. Our hole neighborhood was outside watching it happen. A friend of my mother's was a Maricopa County sheriff officer. He was on his phone trying to call whoever he could to get answers. But no one could answer him. It was amazing and one of the most pronounced childhood memories I have. To this day even thinking back I'm still in awe. They were real they are real. I'm a strong believer that we are alone out there. If we exist other have to also.

In 1990 I saw several triangle-shaped aircrafts with a light in each of it's 3 pointed corners in the nighttime sky when I was still living in Roselle, New Jersey.-They were exactly like one of the U.F.O.s that many people saw in Phoenix.-They didn't make any kind of noise at all and they were moving slowly.-They looked like extraterrestrial spaceships. 🛸 👽

I was there when it happened... I was 16yrs old, it wasn't anything human made!! Watching the lights was both terrifying and fascinating! I was excited and scared, not knowing if we were being attacked by aliens or if they were here to make contact. The lights were more orange/ yellow then they appear in the video. The lights would dim then brighten again, independently from the other lights but they seemed to be dimming in a pattern. I believe it was one large craft that had the ability to break off into separate smaller crafts and then reattach back into the larger craft.

For what it's worth I believe you. I live in UK but had cousins that moved to America that year. And they witnessed it while outside at night finishing off a family bbq. They said a black triangle so wide it couldnt even stay in view in one piece floated overhead in silence blocking out the stars. They were shocked.
I have seen something very similar in Prescott, AZ behind Thumb Butte. I watched it for hours... even my father was baffled. I wasn't familiar with the phx lights phenomenon, but now that I'm looking into this, there is so many similarities. I saw it here a few years ago.. I don't know how more people in this area haven't seen it. 😕 I was amazed, and scared. I cried at one point. Idk, just thought I'd share.

we had a same insident here in the philippines about 7 years ago. the lights had a reddish-orange tone to it and they also formed a v shape. it was also all around the news.
I was a toddler living with just my mom near south mountain. I still remember my mom carrying me outside and we were surrounded by people in the streets just staring up at the sky. It felt like a movie and all of us that were there know something was there that night. Everyone in the valley felt it and you could tell this wasn’t a normal situation.

My sister and I saw the craft outside of Tucson traveling south east which is about 80 miles south of Phx. That’s sure a long way for flares to travel while staying in perfect formation and traveling about 100 mph in no wind *rolls eyes*. It was clearly a giant craft as it blocked out the stars between the lights and was a giant triangle/boomerang. I would believe it was ours if it wasn’t so dang big, I don’t know where the US would even hide a craft that large.
I saw it in Tucson. I'll never forget it.

I live in a small poor town in Texas right on the border of Mexico obviously no one would hear what we have to say, again poor. The whole town witnessed witnessed these lights two years ago and then again last year and it's true they make no noise whatsoever it's weird. Anyway, there's a Facebook page where the town sells and just posts things and there's plenty of videos involving those lights. Just fyi. I had no idea that these lights were seen by other people way back but it is still happening now.

No one is gonna believe this but me and my friends saw the "phoenix" lights over São Paulo, Brazil at the same time it happened in the US, there were only three lights though, I know it was at the same time because March 13 is my birthday and me and my friends were out in the "woods"(more like a small park) playing with our flashlights(they had theirs and I got one for my bday), no one else noticed it and when we called the adults to see they just shrugged it off, I'll never forget that day we watched them for a long time turning our flashlights on and off in their direction to see if they would do the same, kinda silly but we were kids.
I witnessed the lights in 1997, I was about 11 years old. My family drove to the South Mountain that was pretty close to us. We didn't see stars above the triangle. Tho the military said they we're flairs, they never seemed to drop or fade. The lights rather faded out of view. We all went home after the lights we're gone. This story could be linked to the story of Valient Thor. The lights we're headed straight towards the area 51 direction....

It could have also been aircrafts flying in formation. My Grandpa flew helicopters for the military and they did flying formations drills that looked exactly like the lights all the time.
