I just bought a 2024 1794 with a TRD package. I love it. I got the silver metalic with black rims. almost 8 k under msrp here on sale. I feel i got a very good deal The screen is so snappy and the software is extremely responsive and well done. Now I gotta go find some man stuff to do with it like camping and hunting.
Curious what you paid. Looking at 1794 without TRD package, but has safe, running boards , heads up display, sunroof, limited premium package, limited power package, bedstep. Dealer says $64,897 before tax for this one. I like TRD but likely adds another $3500
Mine was 66500 about. I think it was a good deal. The sticker price was about 73k with the added options. Mine doesn't have the heads up display. That is kind of a cool feature. Wasn't a must for me, but it would have been a nice thing. No bedstep as well... The TRD package that was added to mine raised the sticker price by about 4300 if I remember. Its lifted, has upgraded suspension, rims, with other cosmetics, crawl mode ect. The silver was kind of an impulse decision to me but the rest of it was well thought out. After having it about a month though I don't regret the silver at all. I knew I wanted to avoid some trendy colors even though sometimes that brown they make looks so nice to me. I also love the sound system. Its very good. I'm still finding some things here and there that it does. Biggest complaint, 66000+ for a vehicle and no remote start on the key fab? Are you kidding? I have to use an app to start my truck in the winter? And the app is clunky as hell and is extremely slow. It takes 3 minutes of waiting to load until it will recieve the command to start. And then toyota wants you to pay for a subscription for that feature after a free 1 year trial or something? Cmon remote starts have worked without subscriptions for the past 20 years. @@JohnBrown-ev6es
Looking for a pickup truck. Is this better than F150?
Definitely its a preference thing. I liked this more than the f 150@@kennethHuo
What's the difference between the 1794 package and the trd package?
Does the seating position in Tundra feel more like chair height seating than the Tacoma 3rd gen? The 2022 Frontier seems more like that and I am hoping the 4th gen Tacoma also does.
Wouldn't a torque converter automatic transmission be better for a work truck? (rather than a dual clutch)
Love it! Engine and transmission is awesome. Never hunts and has tons of power.
Are they making this in the trd edition still?
Does it have reverse mirrors?
I would like it with the TRD package
What makes it drastically different than other Tunrdas?
Hopefully they keep this edition in Production!
I feel like infotainment screen should be titled more to driver. Not as nice of ram longhorn but different engine makes it more up to date on that side.
Does the 1794 edition have the power steps like the platinum?
Yes.
Love the truck but waaayyyy too much chrome. Is there an option without it?
I use the cab for storing stuff almost as much as the bed. I gotta have a flat floor. Other than that I would be in for Toyota.
Ben, try turning the trucks around so your videos stop coming through with so much exposure and sun glare.
Ben-Many owners have complained about rattles and wind noise. Have you experienced either of those issues?
@@alexleschhorn Lame for a new truck
I have a 2024 tundra. I have noticed a few times on the highway that wind noise has been much louder than expected. I can't hear it over the stereo though which is always turned up and really kicks :) No rattles yet though. I'm coming from a Hyundai Sonata 2012 with 200,000 miles so I'm not sure how to compare the wind noise. Are all trucks a little louder? Probably? So I'm not sure how it compares to other trucks.
I thought the 1794 came standard with power deploying running boards?
Ohhhhh there is a button to turn them on/off?
I like the capstone but hate the interior. Why only one interior selection white with black, really
What’s the 1794 supposed to stand for ?
The 1794 grade is named after the ranch that the San Antonio plant that assembles Tundra was built upon.
This cattle baron styling with all the plastic and electronics seems kind of ridiculous. But oddly appealing! If only we could get a naturally aspirated V8
Why do you want a V8? It has more power than the old V8.
The T in turbo stands for trouble.@@ernestscott1076
Too bad the Capstone didn't offer this color interior instead of only the horrid black and white.
The side button is so stupid. GM figured it out years ago, just make the tailgate latch a button.
I used that side button all the time, and they do have a tailgate button. The difference is when u use the side button, u dont have to run off when the tail gate goes down.
Also has wireless phone charger
Have you seen the new Toyota Cerote?
Insane Tundra!
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee me to!!!
Love the truck but no remote start? At this price point is a dealbreaker for me
It does have remote start. Press the lock button three times. Love mine
Except it turns the engine off when you open the driver door… pointless
Why not a 5.3 V8? Is that not an option?
Toyota never had a 5.3L V8. I believe that engine was a Chevy/GMC.
Price tag on that truck is $70-77k… that’s the most “American” part about this truck. The fact it’s so expensive, the average person cannot realistically afford it.
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
That Tundra looks awesome… I love Toyota!!!
Love toyota. But what the hell is engineering thinking building a truck with no tow hooks. Deal breaker for me
I agree, I’m going to see if I could have a couple hooks welded on
Price is a sticking point. I could afford one out of my retirement money but still not happy with price. Last truck I bought was less than half the price with V- 8 Hemi. I only buy stripped trucks. Don't want all the electronics. It all crap I don't need and it all starts having problems at about 140, 000 miles.
“It’s your grandpa’s truck” type of truck
My ADHD went into overdrive watching this...
I find it funny how it is the most American truck that's manufactured by a Japanese company
Urus next Please
Looks like it was made in 1794.
My friend has a 2010 Toyota Tundra😅😅😅
You should drive a 2024 Lamborghini STO
Lol... Comparing a Lamborghini with a Toyota. Lol
Seems like a bargain with all it offers.
why on earth would they put a V6 in this?!
Gas prices and stupid regulations from the government they want the V8 gone as a way to destroy the American spirit
Looks good but burning too gasoline. I do better with my Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Duramax 3.0 L diesel. Silverado has more legs room in the back seat???? 😅😅😅😅
Love the color.. hate all the chrome. Also don’t like that big entertainment center way too big. Would look at better with out it. Over all nice truck way out my price range. But 👍🏻👍🏻 up for the interior and color. Just remove the big info center.
Oh by the way I paid only 56K for my brand new Silverado. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is much better than the Tundra. The President and the CEO of Toyota need to look into this. They lose a lot of sales right now. And Toyota dealership jacking up more than 5 thousand dollars. And don’t have any vehicles on the lot. That is very bad what Toyota did.
Can’t see interior, too much glare…
Don’t really like the v6 super slow
Have you actually owned or driven one? It's a twin turbo and faster than the old V8 and produces lots of low end torque. It's quick and will chirp tires all day long.
I have one, v6 twin turbo 2024 tundra. Its fast. Feels very quick till about 50mph then kinda slows down. But very fast and very easy to spin the tires if you wanted to.
