Toyota has gotten really good at marketing their product.
I have this exact truck. Oil changed at 1k, and 5k miles. The performance has been flawless and I’ve had no issues. Had one recall done at the dealership at 5k miles in which they reset the computer to fix an issue that some trucks were having while in neutral. Averaging 17-18 mpg.
I am glad you are enjoying the truck, and I hope it remains issue free!
Beautiful truck
Thanks for the review. I'm looking at this exact truck pretty hard. You've given good info. Two questions. What's the towing capacity on this and also the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)?
Towing capacity is 11,000 lbs. GVWR is at 7,210 lbs, and cargo capacity is at 1,380 lbs. Let me know if you have any other questions, and thanks for watching!
@@ZetaDogProductions thanks!!!
Thanks for the vid. I just got a 2024 SR5 with premium package and you said you pull a travel trailer did you check the transmission temperature? I put 500 miles I am ready to do the first oil change my self and no wind noise at all with 55 miles wind speed outside.
No prob! I do pull a trailer, but unfortunately, Toyota did not include a trans temp gauge in the Tundra for some reason. No wind noise for you? Lucky! Enjoy the truck and thanks for watching!
Yeah that’s why I gonna buy the scan gauge 3
I traded my '22 SR5 for '24 TRD OFF ROAD... why are your rear shocks blue? Mine are red
I test drove an SR5 and it’s not even close to the Limited Hybrid iForceMax HP and Torque it provides plus the fully loaded package that comes with it inside. I’m not a big fan of panoramic sunroofs rather the standard size sunroofs that comes in the Siennas, Tacomas, and 4Runners.
Looking at the SR5/Limited as well, also wanting TRD Off Road. I thought the Premium package gave you the larger 14" screen? I also have to have that 32 gallon tank. Can you tell me what your payload sticker says on inside driver door? Most hybrids run 1345 which is really low to me. Best I have found is on a double cab and that is 1500. I pull a 7000lb trailer that has 1000 tongue weight so take that off of 1345 and I have ZERO ability to carry any cargo after adding the weight of me and my wife....huge issue for me.....still love the Tundra and trying to figure a solution for this.
You have to get the premium audio package to get the larger screen on the SR5, and I also believe the TRD Off Road Premium PKG w/options gives you the 14 inch screen. My payload is 1385 lb. It's not great on these trucks. You probably get more capacity by going Limited and above with the airbag option.
36 Gallons I will settle for no less.
My opinion u should purchase in tundra 2020 .few my friend have 2023 they want burn it.
pretty sure only 22/early 23 tundras had problems. everythings been worked out since then ive read.
I'm really do want this truck but the turbos are a major turn off for me
The turbos are a big question mark. I know some of the early 2022 models had the turbo wastegate issue, but for the most part, it seems like this engine is trouble free. Only time will tell. I know dealers are willing to negotiate on Tundras right now, and you can probably negotiate on the extended warranty as well.
The neu Tundra 6cly uses a combination Turbo w/ electronic wastegate. . A one piece unit - Toyotas words. .. The neu Tacoma 4cly uses a turbo w/ a separate mechanical wastegate arrangement. (old sckool) .. Toyotas words. ..
6 cylinder crap will not last . Expensive repair cost down the line .
