This is one sweet Mooney. Arnaldo is going to love flying this thing around. Very capable and well-equipped.

Automotive Engine development engineer here: You did a fantastic on-the-spot description of the turbo system! Good job! :)
Russell Senior Sweeeet! 😎
Great video and interesting explanations on Turbo Mooneys, thank you!
I just bought a 1981 231 and your video was extremely helpful. I watched it twice before I went to FL to pick it up and bring it back home to NC. Thank you very much!
Your a born teacher Josh
that’s is a nice airplane the Mooney is a fast bird and your channel is ones of the best thanks for sharing
For me this was very informative. Thank you.
I've never been a big Mooney fan. I have a Grumman TIger. But the more I see of Arnaldo's plane, I'm changing my mind. That's a really nice cross country plane.
Wolficorn I was never really a fan before because of the looks and based on what people had told me about the tight cockpit. Then I got a ton of time and took two check rides in a 1983 J model. Now I am a big fan of Mooney’s. Moral of the story: don’t develop a strong opinion of an aircraft until you get some time in it!
@@Aviation101 yeah I've flown in a Mooney Statesman and it was a little cramped. Arnaldo's looks relatively roomy. Can't argue with their speed/economy ratio. BTW, check out my youtube channel if you want to see some of my flying vids. I just got back from Monument Valley yesterday and will have a video for that whenever I get the time.
Mooney m20j and k are at the top of my list. Don’t think you fully understand how helpful this video was. Thanks for posting!
A mooney like this is my airplane goal right now. Thank you for the excellent tour!
In behind the rear seats at the top is a little alcove put there so you can store your Cowboy Hat, because Mooney was built in Texas at Kerrville. I had a 66 M20E for a short time. Great Video very well done.
Thanks for the tour of this really nice plane. Enjoy!
For an informal tour you really touched on it all. Great vid, thanks!!
Enjoyed the tour. Love your videos.
Really enjoyed this. Thanks. Would appreciate more like this
Awesome video!
Nice tour of a nice aircraft. Thanks for taking the time to create these videos.
Great video! The Mooney is such a fantastic aircraft! =) Keep up the good work, it's always fun to watch your content!
Very nice and informative video I learned a few things I didn't understand. Thank you !!!
Very informative Josh. Thanks for sharing with us.
Such a beautiful plane! Thanks for the explanation of the instruments, keep doing videos like this!!!! Love the Garmin!!
Thanks! Never flown in a Mooney so seeing the details is great!
Sweet plane!
Great video..!! Awesome tour of the Mooney.
Great information and very interesting ! Great job explaining everything Josh. Nice to see comparisons of various aircraft cockpits, so more would be great. Safe skies guys !
I wish I had this young man teach me when I got my instrument rating in 1972, if not that be with me on my 6 month reviews and IFR trading, love the calm instructions .
Fantastic really comprehensive tour of the panel thank you
Outstanding!!
Amazing job!!! You are really committed to your audience!! I just love it! Thank you so much! Keep up the good work!
Great video josh, i liked where you talked about the CDT and TIT, just finished A&P school and gonna take my o&ps so that helped me get refreshed on that.
you left out the little chrome cover on your right arm rest - it dates the airplane - its an ashtray :)
great tour
Love your video's. I watch every one of them.
Thanks for the turbocharger explanation! That diagram really helped.
well done on the explanation about turbos!! being a car guy you were spot on!!
Beautiful plane.
Most informative video I have seen in a long time- hell of a good job! thanks!
VERY interesting panel tour!
Great informational video . I like the way you explained all of the instrumentation and how they function. Arnaldo seems pretty well up to speed on the operation of the Mooney. It is extremely reassuring to have a CFI in the right seat when you are learning to fly a new airplane. Great job as always in making your videos Josh!
Thanks for a great video! I have XP11 and bought the GTN 750 :D. It´s amazing! Keep it up!
Excellent video I so enjoyed the mooney panel tour and the turbo function complete with graphics makes for easy visualization thank you both. Regards,Steve B
Can’t wait to own one of these beautiful aircraft one day! Thank you for the awesome video and keep it up! Hope to see you in the Austin airspace sometime soon!
Best cockpit tour I have seen. Thank you.
Arnaldold's hoodie makes me slightly patriotic. Greetings from Sweden!
Heja Sverige..
Thanks Josh. I'm looking at a Mooney for my next aeroplane purchase - your latest videos are very useful.
Nice video Josh!
Looks like a great plane
Great video. A c172 is the only plane I have ever flown at this point. It is nice to see what other planes are like. thanks for taking the time to do the video.
Excellent explanation, thanks for the video.
That is one of the best videos ever, Thank You
Great video thank you!
I loved this video! I enjoy these in depth nitty gritty super detailed videos because I love seeing how things work. I'm also an avgeek so that helps a lot :)
thanks great review.
Love the Mooney vids!
Great explaining video, such a beautiful Monney, here in Chile there are like 5 of them in the entire country, they are like white unicorns wajaja ! Thanks for that video explaining the Turbocharger wonder ! Saludos
Great vid.
Good job! Loved it.
Thanks very much. I learned a lot and appreciate the opportunity to.
Thank you! Informative
You have given me much more information than I needed, against my will. Things have sure changed since the basic 172, or the A-1 Skyraider I used to fly. Great video, thanks for taking the time to put this together. I officially don't understand everything I know. LOL
Very neat vid!
Outstanding cockpit tour. I've never been in a Mooney, having only flown a C172 but I'm impressed with your knowledge and expertise. I learned something today !
I thought it was for the start, but with this tour I see he just got a awesome plane!!! A+!!! AP/Intercooler upgrades in the future? Maybe??? 😎😎😎👍👍👍
This is my favorite Aviation101 video!
Great content..
That was amazing, thanks
WOW thanks that was GREAT.....
Love your videos Josh! Been watching you for years and I'm a little upset sitting in my dorm in Arizona, just itching to get back home to San Antonio and finish my PPL this summer!
I once saw a pilot fly a bonanza that had not flown one in a very long time. Before takeoff, he followed the "lycoming" fuel pump procedure, and turned it on. The bonanza was equipped with a continental engine, and during takeoff the engine was running so rich that it died. Fortunately, the bonanza never left the ground. The pilot proceeded to restart the engine and taxi back to the FBO. He said something was wrong with the engine. Long story short, I read on the panel that the pump should NOT be used for takeoff. This was new to me as I am only a low time pilot who has only had lycoming experience. It was a nonevent, however, it's a memory that I will always have as a reminder to assume nothing in the cockpit. Imagine how much of a complication it could have been if the engine decided to quit 500 feet in the air.
Enjoyed the video, thank you
Afternoon Josh As always a supper job! I just had a great idea for a great series that you might start, visiting different aircraft manufacturers facility. In fact, you could start with Mooney just because it just down the road a bit. Besides it would give you a lot of reason to fly. Later Ric Houston/San Francisco
Enjoyed the hell out of that video! Very cool. Now you and Renaldo need to do a Northern cross country with that plane!
This is so cool because when I was 6 this was the same plane I flew, not same exact but same type, great video!!
Thanks
I wish everyone would do their cockpit tours as well as this one!
Just made my first order. Can't believe it took me so long but figured it was time to start sporting some of my favorite aviation KZhead enthusiasts!!! And you were probably my number one inspiration for me starting my channel. Another great video. Keep up the excellent work. See you around friend.
This video taught me a lot! You should do one like this with your 172, Love your videos keep them up!
Love this video.
I've been looking at buying one of these planes. It's in my flight simulator. Thanks for doing this video.
Love it
Very educational
This plane is so sweet
Very cool!
aye man love the videos. id love to learn to fly but around here its hard to do keep it up!
Nice vid!
What a great video! I don’t know about everyone else but I would love to see a video on how you film your flights, mounting cameras, recording cockpit audio and editing!
Dude you are the reason i am starting my private pilot training soon.. See you up there sometime..
Hope to see Arnaldo around Kissimmee sometime soon. I plan to buy my first plane soon after my checkride in 2 weeks and park it there at Kissimmee. Maybe one day i'll meet up with him and get to check out that sweet Mooney!!
Loved it, thanks Josh.
Great job on the video. I am one, so I know: Your student is very lucky to have you as a CFII.
Great tour....just bought a 1974 M20F. What a difference from my 1957 C 172..... thx
Amazing video Josh, I truly enjoyed it! You should make one of these ( if you have the time of course ) in other planes that you fly. Of course on in 80991 :)
Very cool.
Very cool
That was great
I agree as well. I would like to hear more about some of the pros and cons of the Mooney. I follow probably all the aviation channels and many of you have opportunities to fly several different birds and it would be cool to see some videos that are sort of review orientated with a real world mission capable break down. I am looking at buying my first airplane and I keep coming back to the Piper Comanche 250 or 260 for it's relative speed and useful load and I plan to fly a Comanche before I buy one but the chances of me flying other contenders is slim. Videos that allow us commoners to experience the cockpit of different airplanes with out the fuel bill would be both helpful and interesting. Good video Josh!
I absolutly loved this video. I don't fly, but loved learning. I do fly RC planes., and yes, you can use some of what you learn here with RC planes.
My Favorite video.
Just like his other videos, thorough.
Nice
That's what I like Informal and Informative! I'm looking at Mooney very seriously, I mean why not? .... Anybody?
