This video focuses on ATC radio procedures well as weather avoidance and non-standard altitude en-route altitudes.

  • Another excellent video! I hope the KC-135 with the emergency landed without further incident. The ANG unit based here flies those too and having to make an emergency landing with a tanker full of fuel would make for a full pucker moment for sure!

  • Guido - I've been enjoying your vids for a while, and this one meets your usual level of excellence ... Thanks! This is almost as good as a Quick IFR refresher flight. I also want to add I enjoy it most when you're piloting an aircraft (like this Mooney) that many of us have experience in. DB

    • Oh, Mr. Warnecke, I forgot to ask you about one item. Did you have a H.F. Radio installed, for "long range communication," i.e. check on the weather, far down your route of travel? Just curious. Thanks, m. donavon (p.s. last time I worked a USAF C-141B, we had 400 watt HF transceivers! Talk about power out. :)
