Hey there. Welcome back to the channel.
We've been playing a lot of Marauders lately, and so we wanted to go over some of what we've learned, and stumbled across.
Marauders may not be as in depth as Tarkov, but there is still a ton for you to learn, and a lot more is sure to come as Small Impact Games tunes Marauders into the best it can be.
Join me as I go over a few things you might not already know, but I can assure you, a few you don't!

Regarding damaging enemy AI ships. It doesn't work for capital and merchant. However it does work for AI scout ships and Interceptors.
I didn't figure it would work on Merchant, but I thought there might be chance it would work on Capital. Thanks for the heads up!
Another tip i like to add: If you have 1 empty slot left before exit the map, is to take your own capitans card. If you put it in your pockets for example, you can sell it afterwards for around 1k.
Yes sir!
lol yeah I found this out when I had killed some marauders and swapped around keycards when trying to find their ship. Now I do it like you said, every time I have one open slot.
Thanks, great tip!
Good tip!
I'm an idiot for not trying that... wow!
If you're hurting for junk, before you leave the map in your ship, if you have the extra inventory space (or weapon slot), pick up a fire extinguisher. The fire extinguisher can be scrapped for junk. Helps you craft those bags if you're really hurting for stuff.
So if you go into a raid and kill other Marauders and find the captains keycard. Inspect it because it will tell you the ship type that they are flying. So you can decide if it's worth trying to find the airlock that has their interceptor/capital/etc ship.
You spelt Rustbucket weirdly...
Actually really cool! Started playing a few days ago and was wondering how to steal ships
@@xTFFxVengeance You can board them out in space as well if you shoot their ship enough or get in your escape pod and breach their ship as well.
90% of the time I go into main map POIs with stashes they are usually untouched. Don't let that fool you, as I have gotten some of my best loot from them and I get blowtorch from them frequently. If you learn the stashes going in naked like a rat can easily get you great items in less then ten minutes

Alot of this is really good information for most folks . To add to your list : -the shield on the back is VERY useful for solo players , especialy the large one as it aloes repositioning ( running away ) much more safe . -Ship weapons can be fired BEFORE the reload sound effects are finished, spamming the fire button so you start firing as soon as you actually can increases your rate of fire by quite alot ( im betting around 10-20 % faster firing especially with rocket arty ) -Always bring your blow torch never save it , if you don't have a blow torch , bring lock picks and hit all the locked bokes . -Stay in raid longer especially if you are solo player . often raids are empty at the 15 minute mark , use this time to learn the maps and loot the vault , fill your crafting mat stacks and aggressively kill AI for exp .
Probably make another video soon. Mind if I add this stuff as well?
@@unflinchingalva Of course go for it .Another tip for people that dose not get motioned is that for quests that require you kill NPC's or marauders with a spasific item ( get kills with one of the pistols or a knife kill ect . ) the item dose not need to be used for the kill but rather just be on your character , this applies to ALL quests like this including the zero to hero ones , you can kill the commandos with whatever weapon as long as you have the shotgun equipped in your other slot it will still count towards the kill quest counter . Another thing , however i would warn you about putting in your video dew to the general community having some odd misunderstanding of it . however it is a important trick is that ... upgraded space ships with upgrades weapons are VERY powerful and drasticly change the landscape of a raid , especialy on some maps ( commando outpost is most notable ) . Not uncommon for a well flown interceptor to decimate the rust bucket's and force people into pod's leaving the raid almost uncontested . Also hear are some general ship combat tips . -Rocket arty. is VERY strong atm , and dose overturned amount of damage to players on board after the ship is disabeled -Thier is a sweet spot below and above ships whare you can hit the other ship but he can not hit you ( it's a small area but can break up the fire from a burst at close range ) -The interceptor can ... intercept rust buckets by flying towards thier adjacent spawns rather than towards the station , leaving them in a very bad spot since they can't get to a dock for saftey ( you can sometimes sneak up behind them to point blank range before they see you ) -The Assualt crusiers greatest strength is it's mobility ( this alowes you to change direction and speed quicker and get up to speed faster ) If this advantage is pushed you can create situations that enemy ships overextend into bad positions , flipping the battel in your favor . Also this lets you fight outnumbered MUCH more comfortably since you can not only tank alot of hits , but maneuver in and out of combat making you take even MORE time to kill than your high armour would suggest . This ship is a monster that i feel is grossly underrated . - A ship is FULLY operational with 1 % HP , a repair man at the motor can tap a small burst to get your ship running ( and fireing ) again after a disable -Docking into station , then immediately undocking can be used as a repositioning tool / safe repair dock . -When you expect pod's out of a ship , pull range on it , pod's are not great at breaching your ship if you can see them at range and just after a boost slow down ALOT . Use sideways direction changes to get them to miss you while boosting . Then blap em :)
That armour scrapping tip is life changing. I have always struggled to get synthetic scrap to the point where I would have to load in without bandages
Yeah, it's super easy. Glad I could help. Thanks a ton for watching!
buy and sell the m1a1 para from the trader 50% syn 50% metal scrap. cant loose. anytime i break a certain cash point i dump 100-200k into them
Something that works quite well for me and might be a suggestion for future beginner tips is the following: when fulfilling contracts that relate to holding a certain spot on a map, you can start a raid and park your ship behind an asteroid for about 8 - 10 min. Than you get into the map with way less players (or none at all) so you can accomplish your mission in a relaxed way. While doing so you can improve map-knowledge at the same time. At first sight you loose time. But at the end of the day you get your contracts done faster, usually get more loot than you can carry and a lot of XP by killing AI.
Yeah I mean I do the same rat tactic when I am alone.. it works with huge efficiency.. I find bodies with nearly full gear and good armor, because players who left alive just could not carry that much.. it is good, but some waiting for that too so be careful
@@adamszalai6797 yeah I know. Sometimes you do meet other players. Got to be careful at any time. See you in space! 🙂👍
@@seppelson3856 well hopefully won't see eachother 😂😂
@@adamszalai6797 I miss proximity chat in Marauders. I could tell you that I am a friendly space pirat who is just completing contracts and we could team up. 😉
@@seppelson3856 You know what I was thinking the same because as the game says we the marauders are actually against the big factions for loot.. so to be honest we should not kill eachother every way, that is mostly our nature.. I mean in Day Z I saw players just talking and the one in the winning position ask the other to drop the weapon and leave.. would be interesting
You can also gain additional money from selling your fire extinguishers. As soon as you're close to the exit and if you have a slot available grab a fire extinguisher. You can also scrap used fire extinguishers for additional materials.
7:30 disabling a ship doesnt stop anyone from getting in the raid. You can just fire extinguisher your engine and keep going. If you really want to stop people the best way is to disable them and continually shoot them until they either die or pod out, once they pod out just go to the raid, by the time they take damage from getting shot while disabled, if they want to breach their ship and enter to the raid they will be low on meds and hp so they will probably just extract and choose to restart instead. The rocket launcher can sometimes overkill players on their ship if they arent fast enough to their pods though. You can most definitely overkill AI on their ships but the overkill damage does not work on the damaged capital or merchant ship.
I don't think the Rustbucket can be repaired once 0% Ship HP is reached right? If not, then for sure. Keep blasting those fools.

Great video! I've been playing and watching videos for about 2 months but there were several things mentioned here I did not know! Thanks for your contribution to the marauders world :)
Well thank you for the kind words! Glad I could help!

Very good tips here! Especially your comments on gearfear and the skill level of the majority of players have really cheered me up and helped me get along with this relentless sort of game. 😄

Little tip not a lot of people seem to go for ship salvage but scattered around the map while flying you can find crates with red lights if you lot it it will appear in your ship and you can loot all kinds of high end gear like panzer and nuclear material

Im a little late to the party, but if youre new like me. I found that using the guide to identify what raid area youre going to be in, then going to the wiki for a map before committing into the raid is great for quick intel and locating your exits and escape pods for Raider raids
Excellent advice! Glad to see another Marauder among us!
Great tips! I'll have to try out the Klob.
You'll have a new found respect for that piece of crap after you somehow take a dude wearing full Panzer down with it.
Learned some good stuff, thanks!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!
Watching in 2024. Still pretty good! Especially the gear fear part or the part with the ratting timmy is Gold... only few Ticks and it would be up2date 😊
Glad it's still held up!
I hope they don't remove the leaving while breached thing, all that would do is encourage extract camping, which is such a blessing that this game doesn't have any issues with that at the moment.
thanks for the tips!
You're more than welcome!
I'm not sure about this, but I highly highly suspect that there's some sort of gear-based match-making system. Meaning that the more heavily armed you go in, the more likely you're going to meet players doing the same. When I go in with normal SMGs and mid-tier armors and backpacks you never see anyone with panzer armors and STGS, but when I go in heavy with Panzer armors and rifles, its common to run into three or four man groups all doing the same, with heavy armor and tons of bullets and meds etc. at the very least it seems to prioritize putting you in matches with people of similar gear. There's no real way to test this, but its just something I've observed.
This is not true.
Not the case here. I died so many times to panzer stg squads that I’ve started doing what we call “cracked out rat runs” where we bring half a stack of shells, a double barrel from the prison AI, and a medium or large medkit and we just push, lol. Not much to lose and a solid two tap and you just snowballed to endgame
@@LiquidCaffeine That’s just your luck lmao, the matchmaking system in this game is not that advanced, its dog shit on the other side.
regarding scrapping gear for synth scrap and junk scrap, the pirates trader sells a sack back for 300 bucks and it offers a junk scrap or synth scrap at a 50/50 rate. cheaper per scrap then anything as far as i know. then craft your unwanted junk scrap into more sack bags
boarded an enemy ship after we traded ship kills, then red baron came and was hitting it, can confirm you take damage from external shots when the ship your in is disabled, ended up ejecting from his and losing to the guy when we both got in the red baron ship.
I'm also short on bags. I just need containers to keep the loot in !
this helps a lot for playing in a crew only the captin gets the names poped up so i never know where we are
2:15 Its a trick!!! Hes after your thompsons!
I think it would be interesting to get a marauder (safezone) map then players and crews would be able to stay on ship longer and travel between more maps before going back to the "base" as a extension on the continuity aspect Instead of directly linking the stations to the space zones they would do that with the safe zone and the others would only show as unknown space zones and the gates would act as the new system for entering matchmaking but allowing the possibility for players to go from one match directly into a second match and so on until going home to handle the loot
Sounds interesting. Basically make it open world, but by connecting the maps. It's a very cool idea. I'll pass it along to the Devs.
That shield tip is really going to help. I only ever get killed from behind.
It'll stop em bb You got this
Leather jerkins and Welrods are the cheapest way to stock up on all the basic crafting materials.
Hard agree.
Disagree The Cheapest way is luger and pouch rig It's free And a technical point is going empty and grabbing the luger, rig box of ammo and moving the keycard into the four box or rig inventory then just escaping immediately means you can sell it all for almost 2k or scrap it all and sell the card and ammo for 1000+
THAN YOU!!!!
Second the VZ Klob! Great weapon
So good dude. I actually killed a Full Panzer Marauder last night with it. Just slaps so good.
Confirmation: You indeed die if your ship is disabled and it keeps getting hit with rockets while you’re inside. 🙄😞
The best tip I can give someone is if you do go broke you can go in grab the crappy pistol on your ship and just go kill a few AI and then just leave. You can easily make enough money to fund you for many games after and also its kind of fun to go in with nothing and come out after killing a super geared guy which will happen from time to time.
Ive noticed once you get over gear fear the game becomes a lot easier and more fun. I mostly play solo and dont usually care about dying unless i had quest items.
Thanks for vid yo
Thank you for watching yo
Honestly I think it's better to sit and wait after docking in the raid. You can't be breached or attacked in the dock and waiting 5 mins or so might mean less premo loot but you won't get door rushed and most the fighting will have started in the middle of the map. Especially If you're bad at pvp like me : l
While I agree with your motives, I would also agree it's bad to never try and get good at the PvP in this game. It's not too hard IMHO. By avoiding PvP, you'll never get better at it. I also think the game looses some of it's "frights" when played this way. You do you my man. I am just glad you're liking the game.
I'd say you're better off getting some cheap 5-7 protection, getting the mauser with extended mag, some ammo and just going all in or bust, it's some measly 5-8k per loadout and you're bound to eventually either get better or at least hit some ok loot to fund your next buy.
huge flex when he said his wife hopped in raid
I like what you say about losing stuff.. But to be honest i often got the feeling od desync or something like that. I shoot and shoot and hit but they dont die. Any tips? I mean i see the blood flying so i am hitting
I've never noticed much desync, but that's just me. Killing people in this game can be tough depending on what gun you are using, and what armor they're wearing. If you're using a 9mm Sten and they're wearing full panzer, it's gonna take a TON of bullets to kill them. Hell, Panzer is gear takes a ton of shots from any gun to put someone down. I'd recommend shooting for the face as best you can. The headshot multiplier is really high in this game. If you're not comfortable shooting for the face (I'm the same way.) Try and get the drop on them. If you can get their back turned to you, you have a lot of time to spray them down before they turn around. But even with their back turned, Panzer armor gives them a lot of time. It often feels rough starting out in this game. I know we struggled a ton and rarely ever killed anyone. Now we're doing pretty good. You'll learn which fights to take and which to let go. That's a good lesson too.
@@unflinchingalva Its a big fun to find out wich fight is worth and wich isnt. I really love the game. yesterday was our day because nobody safe shit for Raids that never happend. Thanks for that important tip =)

Yes damage done to disabled ships goes to AI. The capitol ship that spawns disabled is the only exception though. You cannot kill the commandos inside. Also do not bother fixing AI ship. On take over you are full health

Oh yeah for sure. We're loving it.
What really frustrated me to the point of quitting is what I assume is hit detection. Ever since full release (wasn't like that in the beta) I can shoot other players multiple times in the head, and they just get annoyed and what I assume happens they fire an entire burst but to me they fire once if at all and I'm dead. And it's not even in wild firefights, I once snuck on someone looting and hit 2 clean headshots and they just looked up and I died. No problem headshotting the AI either but everytime I fight players now the game seems to shit the bed and even if I ambush them or catch them while they are looting I loose.
Sorry to hear you got that frustrated. I personally haven't thought it was hit detection, but all down to armor. For example, mag dumping Mauser rounds into a Panzer rig basically tickles someone. The higher tier helmets block a ton of shots from the weaker guns. I've had the drop on people, like you explained, multiple times and had the same thing. It's a tough game, but I think you should keep at it!
@@unflinchingalva I think it doesnt help that the armor is very confusing, during the beta I was told all the armor together is like an additional health bar and there is no armor areas like in tarkov for example so a helmet doesnt actually protect the head. Idk if that is even true at this point. If armor is really that strong that multiple 9mm headshots dont kill people idk if I wanna keep playing honestly, I don't like it when the loot is more important than player skill.
@@hungryhedgehog4201 I have a video that try's to explain armor, if you want to watch it. It's not 100% indepth, but I think it helps. I think max level helms can take 2 shots from 9mm, but anything more than that should kill. For example, the SVT kills in the head no matter what helm is being worn. This game isn't as "bad" as Tarkov's armor system, where you can run into absolute tanks, but armor does matter. It's part of the loot system of course. It's not for everyone, but I think if you stick with it, you'll enjoy it!
@@unflinchingalva I'll check it out thanks
I tried equipping the shield in my secondary slot, but it doesn't show up like in your video. It disappears anytime it's not being "used"
Weird. Sometimes dropping items and equipping them again can fix that.
Thanks. Ended up trying a few things and what worked was pulling the shield out in front and then switching back to the primary weapon. Anything else and it just wouldn't show up. So weird! XD
@@CL4P-TP_NinjaBOT Good to hear. Game has some jank, but thankfully there's usually a fix. Think the Devs will polish her up good!
ive breached someone while they were exiting, in the end it cleared my whole inventory even though it said i survived
For awhile there I think it killed you if it wasn't your ship, but that was just rumors. Some were saying nothing happened, others said you just died.
i wish they let you pick what map to do
I can see why they don't atm. Tarkov let's you do that, and you have to wait like 5 minutes per match. You'll have dead maps, and others than load in a split second. I think they'll have some sort of way to do it later on, but idk if it'll be what we think. I trust the devs. They'll come up with something good.
i wont lie once i reach 100k i feel like ive met endgame for money since not everything is overly priced.

Of course man. Welcome to the game. Glad to have you with us. I am glad to hear I helped out!
New player here. The other day I was in a raid and had the biggest payout I had seen. Maybe 30,000 or so. I’m ready to get out. No players were left just AI. I couldn’t find my airlock, lost it all. Was wondering if anyone had some tips to help find it and get out of the raids.
When that happens to me, or I don't feel like walking back to my airlock, I go for an escape pod. It's wise to learn their locations. Here are their locations: Spaceport: Right before the bar area, in the middle, there is a place labelled "Pod Bay" Terraformer: They are located in the "Hallways" with guard offices between each major area. Those areas that lead you to the tunnels. Mine: Right next to the Furnace, there is a kitchen. It's right behind that kitchen. Navy Outpost: Right below the "High Command" tower. High Command is in the middle "back" of the map. Penal Colony: Second Floor across from the tower. If you get lost go to the third floor of the tower, and keep looking down at the 2nd. You'll see it. Merchant Ship: All along the front walls where you breach. Capital Ship: Top Deck opposite where the Helm is located. Hope that helps! You'll learn the maps by playing, and this shouldn't be an issue at all very soon, I promise!
Thank you so much this helps a lot.

I kinda heavily disagree with the ship combat unless you plan on breaching them. You're just wasting chances for getting their gear (which is likely better than most of the stuff you'll find in raid(cause their stuff is procured by players, so it'll be better than the average stuff in raid) IMO it's better to let people dock then kill em or disable then breach.
I actually agree with you now, all these months later after making this video. Back in the day, we didn't know that you could repair your ship back from 0% HP as the message used to say "Hull Integrity 0. Abandon Ship." or something of that nature. So in the end, you're 100% correct.
Are those still good ?
Most of them are for sure, but a few I can think of that have changed are: The Klobb is a bit more expensive to craft and does slightly less damage, but is still a solid rat gun. Ammo being in the gun does change the price now, and you do get less money if you take it out. Ships can be destroyed and repaired, so disabling people will only slow them down now. We used to think you couldn't do anything once you were disabled as it used to say "Ship Disabled, Evacuate Ship" or something like that, but you can actually still repair it with a fire extinguisher. However, if you disable a ship and keep shooting it, everyone inside will die, and will die quick if you have a heavy hitting weapon like the Howitzer, Rocket Artillery, Torpedoes, etc
