Welcome all.
For the past few days, I slaved away at making this video. I saw nobody had put out a new Beginner's Guide for the new Marauders Red Baron update, but this also works for the latest United Allies Update as well! A decent amount has changed, so I figured I'd give it a shot. After all, you know I love helping you guys out with Marauders.
We go over a whole host of topics. The Menus, How to Raid, Loadouts, Types of Enemies, Maps etc. Even if you've played Marauders before, you might learn a few things you didn't before. I walk you through as much as I know, and give you tips on how to survive. Feel free to use the timestamps and skip around as much as you want. I was going to break this up into multiple parts, but figured it would work best if you guys just had one massive video to rely on.
I am by no means a PvP chad, so if you're wanting to learn that sort of stuff, this isn't it. This guide is purely for new players to know as much as some of us who've been playing since the Prototype. I just want to show the noobs how I raid, and my thought processes when I do go raiding.
I really hope you guys enjoy this one. It took a lot of time, and was a lot of fun to make.

Okay, this was a very extensive beginners guide. I was curious what it would be like when you announced it a couple of days ago and a little sceptical about the length. And here it is. And man, it's GREAT! I like the way you play this game and always keep the goal of your mission in mind. It's a very rational playstyle. But it's comprehensible at all times. Your thoughts on the decisions you made during the raid were really interesting and useful. The viewer needs to take some time to follow you through the world of Marauders. But you cover it COMPLETELY! Thank you very much - this is an excellent piece of work.

Another handy tip, if you’re selling a gun that you don’t want to scrap and it is damaged, it is worth repairing before you sell, especially LMG and Assault rifles as you will actually profit off the repair cost

You probably already know this, but there is a 4th fire extinguisher above the engine on the second floor. Its tough to jump the railing, but doable. Good for when you really need that extra push to heal.
This guide helped me a ton, after I went absolutely bankrupt trying to play this game just like tarkov. I didn't know the crafting was so helpful, so I always saw crafting materials for their bad value instead of "If I get 3 of these, that's x item" . Especially with crafting ships

Played a shit tone before the red Barron update but this helps with some reminders and also what has changed. Also, when you said “don’t save your weapon for whatever raid you’re planning, because that’s not gonna happen” made me laugh. I used to play like that. Great Vid man 🤘🏻

Started playing just yestersay from posting. This guid helps a lot especially with dealing with the frustration of having good runs suddenly turning into a series of hot messes.

Excellent video: properly divided and labeled sections that are easy to follow and jump to particular areas, good pacing and lesson-ark across the video (I like that you did the 3 Raids to explore the aspects that may have been missed in the first 1 or 2). I definitely think that the length will be prohibitive to new-comers but is the correct format in the long run - especially for these guide videos. In that same vein don't be let down by the video views accumulating now because this kind of content is definitely a long term investment. One suggestion is that following this extensive guide you should release maybe 3-5 ten minute videos that are more oriented on grabbing new audience members through your humor and personality. Keep up the Marauder content, you are trailblazers for this very new game!!!

This was a great ACTUAL guide for new players. Not a FPS champ's highlight feel with some plattitudes over the top but an actual realistic beginner guide with the kind of raids a beginner would try to do with very useful comments and breakdowns. Golddust. You got a sub from me just for that.

great video man! im getting this game for christmas and i wanted some knowledge prior to playing. one thing I will say to fix would be an audio increase, i had my volumes on max volume and couldn't really hear. great job tho!

Just got the game and got wrecked on my first couple raids, so I hope this video will do me some good. Haven't even watched past 10mins but you got a like+sub for the sheer amount of work you put in. Hope you had a nice Christmas

@@unflinchingalva big problem for me is the fighting, because that's my first extract shooter and I'm not used to such a cautious and slow way of combat. I still rush into rooms when I don't hear footsteps only to get fokkd or loot at stupid times. One thing that really helped me was the "taking baby steps" kinda tip you gave because I always wanna go big and then get disappointed when they get me after I already accomplished some goals.. looking forward to more content and maybe we'll play a raid or two together in the future. This was a wonderful guide. I was interested in the game because of a tuber I watch just casually playing but I didn't want a repeat of the frustration I felt from EFT. Your guide not only makes me feel much better about getting the game but that I can actually do decent and have fun playing solo. Bonus I can use your video hopefully to tempt people I know into playing. Side note your break down of sections of the raid was actually very helpful and not at all disrupting. It felt more like "what just happened and why" which is easier to explain after than pausing throughout. Well earned sub. Also I might suggest it to the tuber because he clearly could use the tips haha

I just started last night. Died alot but I found it great fun. The hardest part of this game rn is figuring out these damn maps. They are so confusing, hallways upon hallways and they don't seem to have any rhyme or reason as to where they go. I had a few great raids and then got lost and died from time running out cause I couldn't find a way out lol! Also the ship combat I try to avoid at all costs. My first 5 raids I had to use the escape pod cause I got wasted.
I totally understand. It took us about 20 hours of play before the maps really started to "make sense" if you will. They're confusing at first, but keep at it, and you'll slowly learn where everything is. If you have any questions, please do ask!

I've thankfully never had in raid crashes, but some of my buddies have. Listened to the Dev Q&A the other day, and they say fixing that is top priority. Honestly, playing Solo rocks. Having buddies is nice, but they can also get in the way lmao

Great guide. To elaborate on gear fear: its very silly to have gear fear in this game. I am 20 hours in and have a full inventory. I am pretty shitty at PVP, and I only have the vaguest understanding of some of the maps. The game gives you lots of avenues for getting good gear. Dont rob yourself of a good time by being too afraid.
Very very true. It's odd seeing so many people be afraid about it though. It's super easy to get geared up in this game, and you'll do so much better.

PVPVE or just PVE is not enemy it’s environment so it would be player versus player versus environment
Quick question, I can't find the vehicles for the life of me. Does a pop-up appear near them, or am I just stupid? Also how in the world do you find your way back to your ship. I had an interceptor that I stole but then lost it in a hanger 😅.
Not terribly sure what you mean by vehicles? I'd be glad to help of course, just need a few more details. Are you talking about the Zero to Hero quest early on? If so, you just need to find a forklift. As far as finding your ship again, part of it is just learning the maps, and knowing the feel of them. It sucks early on, but the more you play, the more you'll learn the maps. We all struggled with this early on, but I promise that once you get used to it, you'll never forget where you parked again! @@tylerodonnell6618 There was one that was bugged, so I wonder if you were that unlucky as to find that one. Look around, they're everywhere. Ones off the top of my head are: Outside the furnace room in the Mine. In between the Pod Bay, and Frigate in Space Port. The mine has a ton of them, and I would definitely look in the Mine for those. There is one right outside one of the Airlocks on the Mine up some stairs. I know you probably don't know exactly where I am talking about, but keep your eyes peeled. They are around. I would say I got comfortable with the maps after about 10ish hours maybe? I played the Alpha and Beta as well, so I got used to Space Port, Terra, and Mine really quickly just due to only having those to play. Like I said, it'll take awhile, and I would also recommend taking baby steps in raids in terms of how far you go in. Like only go down a few hallways and walk back. You'll start coming up with a mental map of the maps. It's weird how it happens, but it'll just click.
