Welcome back to another episode of The Viall Files: Ask Nick Edition! Today Patti Stanger joins us to talk about her history of matchmaking and her new show with Nick! Then we get to her callers…
Our first caller has been having issues with her husband since having their first child. She feels disconnected and unloved, while her husband sees nothing wrong. Our second caller is worried that the guy she’s seeing might be gay. After no physical touch or initiation on his part, she has a gut feeling. Our final caller is wondering whether she should give her on-and-off situationship a shot? Timing has always been off in the past, but now she’s freshly single and questioning the what/if.
“You got to pat yourself on the back, that you’re very strong.”

  • The caller who is being treated so badly by her disgusting husband. There’s no mention of his being a terrible father too. He’s jealous of his son. She sounds so lovely. I hope she makes a clean break. Great advice guys.

    @Joan-COYI@Joan-COYI11 күн бұрын
    • They gave her terrible advice. If she divorces him, she would be in her 30s and single mom. It will be very difficult and very unlikely that she will find another man who would be better than her husband. She doesn't qualify for a better man.

      @seven92023@seven9202311 күн бұрын
    • That's insane. It would be better to be alone than someone who disrespects you. Also, definitely not impossible to find anyone else. My Mom got remarried when she was 34 with 2 kids to a phenomenal step Dad. It happens all of the time. This sounds like a projection.

      @bethanymontgomery3965@bethanymontgomery396511 күн бұрын
    • @seven I disagree that she should settle for a man who is cold and nasty and cruel. Her son will thrive without that toxicity. Also life isn’t all about being with a man. She’s lovely and will have the opportunity to meet a lovely partner who loves and respects her and her son but nothing is certain in this short lifetime. Life is difficult but being abused is vile and she deserves better for her and her son.

      @Joan-COYI@Joan-COYI11 күн бұрын
    • @@Joan-COYI She has already made her choices with that man and settled, had a kid with him. Marriage vows don't mean anything anymore? Plus you conclude he's all those terrible things just based on her one-sided story. Life is about man and woman being together, growing old, retiring, etc. We are not meant to die alone. Precisely because life is difficult. What makes her lovely exactly? She didn't say anything that points to that. Your statement about her meeting a lovely partner contradicts your previous statement about life not being with a man. It's a female delusion that a single mom will meet such a man. No good man should accept a single mom with baggage and damage, especially to take care of another man's child. A man doesn't put in the work to be good to be dealing with that sh*t.

      @seven92023@seven9202311 күн бұрын
    • @@bethanymontgomery3965 I didn't say impossible. I said very difficult and unlikely. Just because it happened to your mom, it doesn't mean it will happen to others. Learn the difference between possible and probable. Your stepdad perhaps didn't have better options so he settled. That doesn't make him good or better man. Projection? You're the one using some anecdotal personal example, not me.

I’m sorry, but her comments were wild. “Engagement after 9 months” “men don’t need closure” “even in different states, you can tell when someone has someone else” “women don’t make the first move”??? The list goes on. Kinda wacky tbh and Nick seemed surprised at a lot of the stuff she said

    @kathleen7522@kathleen752210 күн бұрын
    • Well…it’s certainly been my experience that men are not needing closure as much as women (& does anyone really get closure? Hmmm) Maybe it’s because I’m older but what she had to say made a lot of sense

  • Love the advice to the first caller BUT she may not be able to jist take that baby out of state or even get full custody. Its a complicated situation.

    @melissaloeffel3709@melissaloeffel370911 күн бұрын
    • While they’re still married, she actually has more rights to take the baby out of state. She sees a storm on the horizon and he has a limited time to straighten up his act. Maybe he needs to feel the loss before he understands that gravity. She can take the baby and run beforehand and he can feel out his scene. Once separation and divorce papers are filed, then the terms change. She should do all she can while she can before other involvement with the court system. She needs to enact her plan B to see if he is willing to go the distance to save his family. He’s clearly taking her for granted now, so she needs to illustrate that isn’t true and he can lose her if he doesn’t straighten up.

I hope all women learn the importance of having something. I stayed home for 10 years when my husband and I started having children, however, I had money in a separate account saved. I never had any reason to think my marriage wouldn’t last, but when I stopped working to raise our children, I needed to feel like I had a security blanket. It’s freeing when you have it. My husband also gave me money while I stayed home because he said it saved us money in daycare and he encouraged me to put it in a separate account because I earned it staying home. I can’t imagine what that feels like and I want to help that caller.

  • The domineering push over in women surprises me . The man asks a women out , a man proposes . How do you know if two people are deeply sexually attracted to each other . The hook up culture , one night stands , where is your soul ? A woman should be seen, & not heard.

  • 46:48 such a terrible take lol. If nothing is happening she should make a move to see what happens instead of complaining and calling into a show. Regardless of what you think of gender norms
