Welcome back to another episode of The Viall Files: Ask Nick Edition! We’re back to answer your burning questions about the world of dating and relationships. We also read a submission from someone whose boyfriend wants to take a trip to somewhere he’s gone with an ex. Our first caller recently found out she’s pregnant, and is scared to tell her boyfriend, who’s moving home soon and also may be married. We help her craft a message to tell him. Our second caller’s friend is moving to another country soon, and she’s debating whether to tell him she has feelings. We encourage her to reach out and confess her feelings before it’s too late. Our final caller’s boyfriend was having an emotional affair with his cousin. We compose the perfect break-up text to end things.

I went to my ex’s cousin’s wedding with him when we were still together but knew it wasn’t working. We took family pictures I was in and then I pulled him to the side to privately ask if he wanted to do pics without me. He agreed and told his aunt, who proceeded to announce to the entire room “ok everyone we’re doing one with Kayla and one without!” It was very uncomfortable but, i’m sure they’re glad they have versions without me 😅

One of my best friends wedding - the fiancé of the groom’s brother is in all the photos. They broke off the engagement
My family is having a group family picture in January and my grandmother is organizing it. She reached out to tell me that my boyfriend of about a year is invited if he wants to be, but my initial reacting was that’s awkward. I see a future with him and hope he is the one, but I feel like if you’re not like married or engaged then the family photos are a little uncomfy lol
My ex and I had been dating for only 6-8 months and I was asked to be in their professional family photos. I felt so awkward and voiced my concern of being in them since it had been only a short amount of time. But his mom begged me LOL. Ended up being in them, my ex and I dated two years after that, and then broke up

My ex husband and I were waiting to announce our divorce until after my sisters wedding to not have that be a focus of her big day or to have marriage negativity leading up to her wedding. So during family pictures I suggested doing one without him (knowing he wouldn’t be around) without them being suspicious or an asshole to him by just saying “let’s get a picture with just couple and bloodline” AFTER we had him in some pictures. That way it didn’t change those and it was just added pictures which are now the main pictures and still in my house and theirs 7 years later. So that picture has me, my parents, my daughter and my sister and her husband. They looked at me like I was a little crazy. But they are forever thankful!
My ex and I were high school sweethearts and both truly believed we would be together forever. I am in one of his dad’s wedding photo’s, not all of them purposefully just in case. I hope they’re not hanging that one in their house😂😂

I am pleasantly surprised how in depth and how involved Nick gets with these callers & their situations. I didn’t have the best POV on Nick prior to listening to his podcast due to watching him on the Bachelor shows, but slowly but surely he’s grown on me a bit more- basically I don’t hate him anymore lol. Interesting podcast, I enjoy it & his interviews. PS- the caller w the foreign bf who’s probably married is an idiot…sorry 🤷🏼♀️. No self respect & no balls. I have a strong opinion about the writer iner. She’s being very silly and insecure about not going to those places. I used to not like to go to the town my ex and I lived in together and would give me anxiety entering the town. But now we’ve replaced enough memories that I feel fine going there. Even like restaurants and stuff that our exes put us on to I like sharing w my husband. Just bc someone else showed it to me doesn’t mean I hold attachement to my ex. Relationships form you in a sense and you can’t cancel out things you like or places you’ve been in a certain amount of years just bc you didn’t know your current partner yet. I love replacing the memories with new ones with my husband now.
And I think it’s really sweet when my husband wants to show me stuff from his past that he likes. Maybe that me being confident in our relationship but I truly love learning about his past even if it were somewhere he and an ex went on a romantic date w. Take me there so we can have a better date. Lol
