My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

Our Husky had puppies, before the adoptees could take them I had them start to watch your videos. A couple of them thanked me and said you answered questions they didn't realize they had.
We never say " bad puppies" to our puppies. We always say naughty to them! Her ears go down and she looks away. Of course we already know she did it, but in asking her she knows that we know. Sense she is getting older it rarely ever happens anymore. She is really is a very good puppy. And we love her dearly.🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💕💕

I’ve just got a husky pup she’s 8 weeks old and all your advice is amazing
Like your channel and advice. I have two therapy dogs (a husky mix and a husky), and I have a 9 year husky. BUT, as a therapist with therapy dogs.. I feel its necessary to correct a MAJOR mistake in this video. Spanking is not negative reinforcement... it is positive punishment... allow me to explain.. hitting, yelling "giving" something as a form of discipline is positive ... ie adding... giving... and its punishment. Negative punishment is taking something away... ie removing the dog and putting him outside if he poops in house, removing the toy if he doesn't stop pulling the fluff. That is negative... ie removing, taking away . NOW PUNISHMENT IS WAY DIFFERENT THAN REINFORCEMENT.. reinforcement is a means of encouraging not discouraging... so.. when you said "good boy" that's positive reinforcement... your giving or adding praise because you want a behavior to continue. Negative reinforcement is taking something away also because you want behavior to continue... a difficult concept but.. the best way to explain would be removing a baby gate because the dog has learned a boundry.. your taking something away to encourage good behavior... the best way to explain all 4... Your dog normally well behaved dog runs in the street.... you put a leash on.. that's positive punishment. You bring them inside and decide no walk today .... thats negative punishment (taking walk away) The next day your dog is calm and you walk out on a leash... your dog isn't pulling on the leash and is healing right next to you... you say "good boy!" Your giving positive reinforcement. Giving praise for expected behavior. Maybe you get home from walk and decide to let him run in the yard a bit. Removing the leash is negative reinforcement. Your taking something away to encourage good behavior (staying in yard and not running in street) Positive... giving something Negative ... taking something away Punishment.... to stop bed behaviors Reinforcement... encourage good behaviors. Your welcome! Love your dogs! They are adorable. Love your tips and your right on the money about boy vs. Girl huskies!

I love to watch these videos as I have a boy & a girl too. I use the word no like you do but telling me to use the tones is good. I never yell at them & try to keep my tone down but just reinforced that for me. They are surely a toddler in a fur suit & you can't help but love them.

Lol thank you for this video. It’s so easy to get frustrated and punish your pets in unhelpful ways. Patience even when they are barking in your ear at other people and dogs, pulling you along a walk or jumping the fence.. they are family and they mess up just like any family member in your family or friends. No matter how frustrated you can get hitting your dog only creates negative energy between you and them and doesn’t actually work. Patience, time and positive reinforcements are powerful skills. Thanks for making this video it was really funny and made me laugh when I wasn’t too happy with my own dog.

I got an 8 week old husky puppy today! He is the cutest thing in the world! I could not be happier. I loaded up on info and facts (mostly from your channel) for a couple of months! We are well-prepared and super excited! He’s really shy, I love him! I’m thinking maybe Bear or Ashes! Not sure, we were gonna get a girl but we fell in love but the chubby shy one in the corner! For a girl I though Aizley or Rayne but we ended up with him. Thank you so much for your videos! I will continue to watch for sure.

Thank you so much! Thus helps a great deal. I just got a husky who turned 3 a few days ago. His previous owners couldnt take him with them when they moved. However, past housebreaking him and leash training, they didnt really teach him much or properly take care of him. Ive been brushing last seasons undercoat out before I have to bath him and even just treated him for fleas. Hes very well mannered and these videos help so much for the training I have to prepare to do. Again, thank you!

I also never let them see me clean up the mess especially if it’s a poop. That always seems to work to avoid future messes. Talk to them about the mess then put them in another room to clean. Do you do that as well?
That’s probably a good strategy. I’ve never implemented that personally but I encourage experimenting with different methods to help you figure out what might work for your dog. So that’s awesome! Keep it up!
I’ve done the same thing. I understand there’s a time when your gone for an extended period of time and something happens. But if they potty in the house and you were home and they have been out earlier you have to let them know it’s bad and yes I crate the dog while I clean it up. I potty trained my male at 9 weeks (he’s now almost 13) and I’ve left him in extended time accidentally and he used the shower. Good boy. My rescue husky I got her at 1 year and a half old and was living outside tied to a porch railing in south Alabama. So when I got her all she knew was drink as much water to survive. So she still did that for about a week after I got her even tho she lives inside my house now. I potty trained her in a month. Siberian husky’s are very smart and know if handled correctly what’s right/wrong; what not to do/what I can get away with. I also recommend cooking your Siberian food. Husky’s are the only dog breed that control it’s own metabolism. So it’s best for them (honestly any breed or mixed) to eat real food. Dry dog food or canned is like McDonald’s. Imagine you eat fast food every day. My 13 year old Siberian still pulls me down the road. Jumps up in the bed to lay with me. Tells me when it’s time to eat or when he’s ready for some jerky. He’s not over weight he’s about 24 inches tall and between 55 to 60 pounds. My now 3 and a half female is about 22 inches tall and 45 pounds but strong! She’s the boss. I think the harsh life you experienced had her acquire a boss mentality. But they make great friends. Never would I have thought to own not one but two Siberian husky’s in south Alabama but here I am lol
I'm a fan of a spray bottle, it's relatively harmless and they learn that it means I don't want them to do something. Along with what you mentioned in this video.
I wish I could use a spray bottle. That would be my inclination. But our husky/blue heeler mix LOVES water and showers and hoses. He goes BERSERK around moving water. I can't even water the indoor plants without him rushing the watering can. LOL I think spraying mine would be considered a fun game. Bleh.

Really I wouldn't be scared you have to be the Boss don't back away from the problem. I think you're going to have to show her you're the Boss not her. She is testing you to see if you back down from her. She is smart. You have to stand firm SAY NO BAD DOG. SORRY BUT! IF MY ALASKAN MALMUTE DID IT TO ME THAT WOULD BE THE LAST TIME. I WOULD SHOW HIM OR HER IM THE BOSS ITS ONLY ME BUT I WOULD SHANK MY DOG SAY NO NO NO IN A STERN VOICE. THIS MAN IS NICE TO THERE DOG I don't think I would be that way. I wouldn't back down to any DOG I think that the DOG may want to keep on testing you showing force thinking that they are your Boss sorry to say I would spank that Dog's little Butt showing you're the Boss getting aggressive with your DOG to show your the Boss. My ALASKAN Malmute he tried to bite my hand but I smacked his mouth saying NO NO NO YOUR NOT GOING TO DO THAT ANYMORE. NO! BUT THAT IS JUST ME. I DO AGREE WITH HIM SAYING THAT YOU HAVE TO CATCH YOUR DOG IN THE ACT OF DOING SOMETHING WRONG that is the time to correct. After they have done something wrong. Then they know what they have done something wrong. You caught your DOG Red Handed opps! Oh my I got Cought! My ALASKAN Malmute is sneaky a little mistivive maker. Sneaking out through the fence he made the holes in the plastic fence he went through the holes many times. But I have not Cought him doing that yet! But I'm not going to give him the chance to do that anymore I'm putting up a wire fence to stop him I didn't catch him at this I really wanted to do it. Actually I really need to work with the DOG training teaching him to learn how to come to My when I call him. Put him on a leash give him a treat when he does a good job. I just have to really work with him a lot teaching him discipline getting him to to the write thing. Giving him a treat after he has done a good job of listening to me. Anyway I don't know if I helped you or not. I do like this man's approach But! I would be a little more STERN with my DOG. It's just me. Take care of yourself God Bless you good luck 👍

I have tried different trash cans but they are so smart they figure it out. So I put up baby gates to keep them out of the kitchen, lol but sometimes I forget to close the gate. But listen, they give me so much joy that I can’t fuss to much. I always take any chemicals or anything that could harm them directly outside where they can’t get to it

It took us 2 years to see our first baby pineapple born after we planted it. Our 3 month old husky pup liked it too and murdered it 😫😅 no matter how many times we say NO during the attempting act, she seems like she knows it's wrong because she runs away playfully as I do so, but keeps going back to it even when I'm around, almost like purposely teasing. What can I try? Of course I'm getting some fencing to save the rest of the baby trees but I'd rather a lesson learnt😉

maybe your dog is jealous when you take care of your plants. maybe try to play with dog when you take care of plant. incoorporate dog in your planting habits, dog become invested in your plants life. play ball around the tree. play with dog with water when you water your tree outside. happy memories for dog with tree. same same as have second child, you play with both at same time. or jealousy and murder maybe ensue.

In California, we have a Husky rescue near Walnut Creek I believe. Just look up Husky Rescue and see what you find. I believe there’s was full!
I just got a siberian Husky. I want to teach him how to stop begging hes 4 years old and i adopted him from the shelter. Pre-Bell/house trained. But he doesnt listen to me either. What do I do?
Just ignore him, it will stop after a few tries. Just be patient
As a trainer your dog will never learn what not to do if you dont teach them. You will need to replace its negative behavior with a positive one. My recommendation is to consistently put your dog in a down stay. You should also teach a leave it command. Feel free to follow me on Instagram I have a few training videos on there @dorian_nymeria
Sounds like you need to work with your dog, and do some basic training. We have videos on the channel that will show you how to teach your dog to stay, sit, lay down etc. it’s never too late to train your dog, just remember it takes patience! So work with your dog on this and soon your pup with listen better I promise!

We have taught our husky to go outside when we eat dinner. We also send him to his bed when he is bagging, it’s more about teaching them what TO DO not what NOT to do.
