Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games kzhead.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

Dude thank you!
I wish I would of seen this, he spent so much time talking about nothing
Tysm
Yessss.. 5 mins of nothing. what a drag it was
My Husky and my Labrador/Pittbull had a clash of the titans type of war for the Alpha spot. My lab was always the alpha because we always had smaller dogs surrounding her, but that change with the husky. They spend two, may be 3, weeks beating a hell out of each other. It got so bad that we were thinking of taking the husky back to the rescue. I was sad and I was sitting with the husky in the front porch. I started talking to him and telling him he needed to stop the fighting cause we might take him back and I didn't wanted to do that, I even cried that day. People always think am crazy when I tell this story but I keep believing that he actually understood or somehow knew what I felt, so next day is like everything change. They were not fighting, and played in the yard. We didn't take him back and now they are the best BFF's.
ateiluj08 omg that’s so cute
Gig
@Mr.Angry yes but if you have more than 1 dog, the pack will always have a pecking order.
I volunteer at a rescue. I couldn’t find the path back because a bunch of trees were hiding it. Anyways I ask my favorite do there which is a husky. Do you know the way? She took me straight to the dirt path. I was shock she understood.
Dogs do understand what we speak. I spend a few minutes everyday talking to my dog, usually at night, mostly like story time, it makes him very happy. At the end of each story he gives him loads of kisses. I think dogs enjoy it when we talk to them.
1. Put your hand over their muzzle to assert dominance while petting. 5:30 2. During a petting session, very gently grab your dog's back hip muscle for a few seconds. 8:06 3. Use high and low voice commands to communicate with your dog. 10:48 4. Stand up straight and stay elevated over your dog, do not stoop to their level. 12:35 5. Remember to crate train. 14:03

My first dog was a rescue. If i put my hand around his muzzle, he would bite. He wasn't aggressive, he just had trust issues due to his previous owner.
Love your channel! I'm so thankful my recently adopted husky is nearly perfect. She doesn't try to escape, perfect manners at meal time, doesn't chew anything even on my 12 hour work days and so on. She's just happy to have a happy and loving home I think. I am the 4th owner and she's only a bit over a year old and spent her life outside only. I wish people did more research before adopting dogs
Thank you so much for watching! :) We really appreciate you visiting the channel and supporting us. I wish the same! It is why I do my best to inform others of the important steps you should take when owning one. :)
Congrats on 3k! My dogs are really lazy, so they basically don’t care, their alpha is the one giving them love and treats(me)
Thank you! It's crazy to think 3k people have subscribed, I'm glad the husky community is going strong! Give your lazy pups some love and a treat from me! Thanks for watching, have a great one!
I read somewhere that eating dinner before your dog does also establishes dominance over them. They said this works, because in the wild, the alpha of the pack eats dinner before the other dogs do.
Yes that’s true.
Bro....I've had my Husky for three days and I've been watching your videos like a madman. BUT....they've been super helpful.

Hey dude - quick note that this video really helped us turn a corner. We adopted a 2 year siberian/mal mix who was found as a stray...so you can imagine his rule-break-o-meter was set to 11. Thank you.
I can’t thank you enough for these tips! I got my first husky and to be honest I was definitely unprepared for what came. I love my pup to death and our bond is immense due to your amazing videos. Thanks!
blue light they definitely take some time.
Thanks for sharing these tips! I will try them out. My husky pup is approaching 11 months old, and he only listens when I have a treat in my hand. 😂 I also believe that crate training is so important. Some people tell me I’m terrible for leaving my dog in a crate when I’m out of the house, but it’s safer for him!
You're welcome Stacie. I'm happy they're helping you out! Crate training is insanely important, your'e very right. A lot of people will preach this and that. You do you! Make the decisions you feel are right, and don't let other people make you feel bad for being a good dog parent. Thank you so much for watching. I'm glad to help you.
Stacie Nomura what is unsafe in your home for the dog?
I crate train and potty train my puppies as soon as I get them that is also there safe space

@@SixtyFormula it's work! Thxxxx ^^
I have two German Shepard’s and when they sleep inside with me they fight and they end up going back outside because it’s 2 am and I need sleep I think it’s because one of my dogs wants to be the leader last time he kept on growing everytime my dog in my bed looked at me and I ended smacking his nose just get him away since the other dog was laying in my bed and I didn’t want a fight this is a problem and since my parents don’t like my dogs inside I have to have them quite another thing though maybe it’s just better if they are outside because we have chickens and they just like to run around and bark which makes them happy so is it selfish to keep them inside especially since they don’t fight when they are outside? Sorry this is long but you seem like a person who might have suggestions
He’s now so much better. He listen and be happier ^^
@@SixtyFormula what about labs my 5 month old listens to my wife in house but outside she listens to me it’s weird
I think you should’ve mentioned how you should only get down to their level when they're calm and doing something you like or want them to keep doing
I love your videos! As a kid I used to be surrounded by dogs all day but all I taught them was out of pure intuition. Hi! I love your dogs and your channel! I have a Siberian husky too named Strider and your videos are really helpful with him. When we first adopted him, he was terrified of going inside and he wouldn’t touch the floor inside so we had to carry him in. Now he loves our house and the yard. We don’t have a fence for him because our yard in two parts. One side is for our chickens and the other half is for my dog. We hook him up on a cable so he doesn’t get away. He’s on kind of like a zip line but on the ground so he can run around Love your videos ❤️👍

Huskys are a bit tougher than other dogs however they are by far the best dog i have owned and I've owned a few along with being raised with many. They can be stubborn and difficult but in the end they are super sweet
I used to love huskys more than any other type of dog. but then i realised every1 wanted 1 soooo then i realised if every1 had 1 then then they wouldn't want huskys anymore and a different breed instead because every1 had 1 so i have a boarder collie and quickley realised they are so sweet and clever an energetic XD

You're an extremely energetic person and make for a very unorthodox leader Haha, but you have their respect. So I feel like that energy is your advantage so it blends very well. If my roommates lab saw those ducks she'd go batshit
We love these videos, they have been so helpful to us in raising our two husky pups! Wanted to ask how you taught your husky pups what they meaning of CRATE meant? Did you establish the word CRATE when they were pups or later on after they understood it was not a torture chamber?
Beautiful Huskies and very sweet. Thanks for the tips I've actually use all but the last 2 with my past Huskies. I'm looking to get another soon and I'll have to keep them last 2 in mind. Thank you so much.
This was great info. I used the tip on circling the snout. It works. Great!
Howdy bro glad the move was successful and your back to your videos. Great advice as always. Let me know when you need help making a fence in your backyard. I took mine up to 8' and have peace of mind.
Thanks, man! I really appreciate that. So far the yard stake is working well, but I'll keep that in mind.
Don't forget dogs like to dig also. Dogs need a job. Hiker, athletic coach, loggin' dog, camp guard, garden deer repeller, car security, child security and emotional support, hearing ear and seeing eye dog, are some I can think of. They get very proud of their expertese and fall naturally into their role if suited as a breed. My hiking partner, Lucy, had a PhD in woods. She was a tough thick coated border collie/American eskimo, and physically tangled with bears when necessary. A Bernese cross of my friend's is personal security and yard guard.

I have a german shepherd husky. I adopted her at 2yrs old and she has tested my dominance a lot. We call it shwagging the dog to talk in a low register and it is very effective, but my mom told me I look nuts haha. My girl is a challenge to train but its so rewarding. Your channel is full of great advice that has helped me, thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing, and thank you for the kind words. :) You're awesome. We're glad you enjoy the channel and find it helpful!
I too have a German Shepard Husky and she is very smart. Understands command words with ease but has the attention span of a 2yr old toddler. We had to use double locks on her kennel so she wouldn't escape when we were training her and also she can escape her harness. Still training her and just stick with it.
It's funny because I have two huskies luna and Leo and they are the exact same color as your boy and girl awesome bro
Luna and Leo are great names! It's crazy, I've seen one other boy/girl husky combination with the same coloring at the park. Must be cool ;) Haha thanks for stopping by!
What a coincidence
my boyfriend and I just got a husky and I named her Luna, are dogs are twinning, lol
I had a dog that I could fool into thinking someone was at the door. Started off with a quiet low voice ''who's that''. Gradually getting louder and nudging him when he sat on my lap. He would sit there grunting and howling until I stood up then he would sprint to the front door and go mental. The times when people were at the door he went mental at the door but soon as the door opened he would tail down wag and ears down and face lick the hell out the visitor whether it was a friend or stranger.
We watched your channel before adopting our first Husky Amira, you prepared us well, Thanks

Hey man I subscribed and support your videos I got red/white 9 weeks old husky named Thaddeus. Before I started searching how to train my boy. I knew at aleast 4 of these steps and I’m grateful happy that I’m already following the effective training for my husky. The only things I’m worry and will work on as days goes on is: potty train, crate train, and stay close by me when being leashed. The simple commands like “sit”, “stay”, “paw”, “lay down” is learning and progressively improving, makes me very happy and putting effort into him. so I avoid hitting him at any accident or wrong doing, only use these step I already using effectively. Thanks man keep going and doing these I’ll follow through.
Would you change anything for someone with an older dog that never got proper training and can have moments when they snap. They put themselves in time-out when they do snap, but is there anyway to stop the snapping when they feel threatened or territorial? I'm afraid my dog will bite me if I get physical.
Maria Rev me too!! I have the same problem
Man I just rescued a 1yr old and me and him are having a hard time establishing who’s in control. I follow all the rules but most of these tips Ive been seeing out are for puppies. I need something for an older dog with NO training/boundaries.
I have rescued an older husky... Just be patient .. persistent.. and a proper collar will help so much... I have the best husky... Has a nice size yard..and super friendly with people and dogs...

11:47 "I always treat them with the utmost respect, but sometimes when they're not doing things correctly..." *pans to dog chewing on its foot* ......"God Damn it"
I know my husky when he was alive he would put him self in time out. All I would have to do was look at him after he did somthing wrong and he would just go strait to his kennel. Huskys when they are brought up correctly are some of the best dogs you could ask for. Huskys are a challenge the when they are puppys. I went through a couch and 2 beds due to me not exercising him enough when I first got him and honestly i don't blame him for that i blame my self. I cant wait tell i get my next husky unfortunately they are hard to come by in my area of north florida. I have been looking for one to rescue for 3 years but no luck yet.
Thank you so much for sharing. It means so much to us that you would take your time to write this. :)
They are extremely smart and understand humans so well. I spend 4 days without walking my dogs, and my husky was obviously desperate for a walk. I was not completely well yet, but I decided to take him because my Oso was going crazy. We got ready and headed out. 10 minutes into the walk, I was feeling sick and felt nauseous. My husky turned to see me, and he just started walking towards home. I can imagine him thinking "WTF, you're still sick, let's go home"😘😘😘😘 I also felt down once while walking him. I let go of the leach and of course his first instinct was to run. I didn't even had time to say ouch! because I had to go after him. He turned around and noticed I was hurt and he stopped and waited for me. Just love him so much.
The reason why? They are considered "pitbulls" by most local Governments and are banned by law.
@@christianfreedom-seeker934 Really!?! Banning Husky? This is crazy! Husky is one of the most intelligent, people-friendly and sweet (if well-trained), not to mention *useful* dog breeds!!!
I just rescued a husky/pitty cross this summer, Sweetest guy ever, Only a year old as of (August 12 this year). Came with a leash wrapped around his neck covered in his own vomit, Took him almost 2 months to come out of his shell, & he is now completely inseparable from my other lab/pitty cross (9 years). He Loves People and everything else, May be a little shit sometimes. But I'm glad that I was his 2and chance
These tips have really helped allot. I just got a 2 1/2 year old female. The previous owner did t have enough time for her and she lacked in training. Lola is now much easier to work with her now with these tips.
Amazing videos they are very helpful am sure following everything to the letter to keep my husko educated
Would these also work on other breads of dogs? I assume they would, but I'd like to ask, and maybe get an answer before incorrectly treating my dogs.
Breeds. Do you eat dogs? Lol you said "bread"
@@Hahyeahno I've raised large breeds and using only positive feedback is going to result in you losing lots of furniture. When your dog misbehaves you give him or her a good smack on the rump and say "no!" Firmly and put him/ her in timeout.
Same with kids. Until a certain age they do NOT change their behavior without a smack on the bottom. Lots of studies done by non-liberals have proven this time and again.
@@Hahyeahno Dogs are very smart. They respond to body language and territorial definition. Same command every time. Once my lab/spaniel boy got running down the road, nothing could stop him. I got a hold of him once and held him down at the side of the road by the scruff of the neck for 3 minutes. After that, no running away down the road. I walked the perimeter of his "territory" with him 3 times a day for months. It was hard because both his mother and his father (that he fought with) lived within a block of our place. Finally, his friend, a female collie next door, became more important to him.
Why are all your fingers of the same length...
Lolololol, this is so accurate. Honestly just noticed the fingers
Not true at all, leave alone accurate! Watch the start of this and you'll see that all his fingers are not of the same length at all. kzhead.info/sun/fLh8kslwg4mKdKs/bejne.html

Tips are working! Thank you 👊🏻🐶
I think I’m getting a husky for my birthday this month I really hope so their so beautiful I can’t wait to be active with the dog I just hope I get one
Oh my goodness congratulations! Hope you do, they are an amazing doggo!
Adopt don't shop.
Ok, how can I be Alpha in bed? I am left a tiny bit of space and the dog has the rest of bed!
Try not letting him or her sleep on bed at all for a little while so that they can recognize it as your space and not theirs. Then after some time, I would recommend only letting them sleep at the foot of the bed. Thanks for watching!
Having your own dog bed works. Not too much thick soft bed. A little harder than we need is best. My yellow lab or other thin coated dogs may need a sleeping bag in very cold winters. They will climb inside when they have to.
Um keep them out of the bed, gross...
Every night when I go to bed the animals let me lay down first then one dog gets on my feet and one snuggled on my legs, a cat on my side and a cat right behind my head, I get cold easily, they warm me up.
toordog it’s not gross to cuddle you dog or have them in your bed I wish my dog was able to sleep in my bed but my bed is a twin and my dog is really big
Omg I have a 11 week old German shepherd and in one night of following steps 1& 2 the next day I did it just a few times! She started listening to NO! She allowed me to take off her lead w/o biting. Night 2 was a little pushy but a quick gruff sounding NO is all it took! Thank you so much for posting this!
omg why have i never heard of a yard stake before?!? Our husky is an "escape artist" this is exactly what we need to allow him to be outside worry free. Thank you!!!
