  • Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games kzhead.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!

  • My Husky and my Labrador/Pittbull had a clash of the titans type of war for the Alpha spot. My lab was always the alpha because we always had smaller dogs surrounding her, but that change with the husky. They spend two, may be 3, weeks beating a hell out of each other. It got so bad that we were thinking of taking the husky back to the rescue. I was sad and I was sitting with the husky in the front porch. I started talking to him and telling him he needed to stop the fighting cause we might take him back and I didn't wanted to do that, I even cried that day. People always think am crazy when I tell this story but I keep believing that he actually understood or somehow knew what I felt, so next day is like everything change. They were not fighting, and played in the yard. We didn't take him back and now they are the best BFF's.

    • Dogs do understand what we speak. I spend a few minutes everyday talking to my dog, usually at night, mostly like story time, it makes him very happy. At the end of each story he gives him loads of kisses. I think dogs enjoy it when we talk to them.

  • 1. Put your hand over their muzzle to assert dominance while petting. 5:30 2. During a petting session, very gently grab your dog's back hip muscle for a few seconds. 8:06 3. Use high and low voice commands to communicate with your dog. 10:48 4. Stand up straight and stay elevated over your dog, do not stoop to their level. 12:35 5. Remember to crate train. 14:03

    • I have two German Shepard’s and when they sleep inside with me they fight and they end up going back outside because it’s 2 am and I need sleep I think it’s because one of my dogs wants to be the leader last time he kept on growing everytime my dog in my bed looked at me and I ended smacking his nose just get him away since the other dog was laying in my bed and I didn’t want a fight this is a problem and since my parents don’t like my dogs inside I have to have them quite another thing though maybe it’s just better if they are outside because we have chickens and they just like to run around and bark which makes them happy so is it selfish to keep them inside especially since they don’t fight when they are outside? • Don't forget dogs like to dig also. Dogs need a job. Hiker, athletic coach, loggin' dog, camp guard, garden deer repeller, car security, child security and emotional support, hearing ear and seeing eye dog, are some I can think of. They get very proud of their expertese and fall naturally into their role if suited as a breed. My hiking partner, Lucy, had a PhD in woods. She was a tough thick coated border collie/American eskimo, and physically tangled with bears when necessary. A Bernese cross of my friend's is personal security and yard guard.

We had to use double locks on her kennel so she wouldn't escape when we were training her and also she can escape her harness. Still training her and just stick with it.

  • I had a dog that I could fool into thinking someone was at the door. Started off with a quiet low voice ''who's that''. Gradually getting louder and nudging him when he sat on my lap. He would sit there grunting and howling until I stood up then he would sprint to the front door and go mental. The times when people were at the door he went mental at the door but soon as the door opened he would tail down wag and ears down and face lick the hell out the visitor whether it was a friend or stranger.

  • Hey man I subscribed and support your videos I got red/white 9 weeks old husky named Thaddeus. Before I started searching how to train my boy. I knew at aleast 4 of these steps and I’m grateful happy that I’m already following the effective training for my husky. The only things I’m worry and will work on as days goes on is: potty train, crate train, and stay close by me when being leashed. The simple commands like “sit”, “stay”, “paw”, “lay down” is learning and progressively improving, makes me very happy and putting effort into him. so I avoid hitting him at any accident or wrong doing, only use these step I already using effectively. Thanks man keep going and doing these I’ll follow through.

They put themselves in time-out when they do snap, but is there anyway to stop the snapping when they feel threatened or territorial? I'm afraid my dog will bite me if I get physical.

  • I know my husky when he was alive he would put him self in time out. All I would have to do was look at him after he did somthing wrong and he would just go strait to his kennel. Huskys when they are brought up correctly are some of the best dogs you could ask for. Huskys are a challenge the when they are puppys. I went through a couch and 2 beds due to me not exercising him enough when I first got him and honestly i don't blame him for that i blame my self. I cant wait tell i get my next husky unfortunately they are hard to come by in my area of north florida. I have been looking for one to rescue for 3 years but no luck yet.

    • They are extremely smart and understand humans so well. I spend 4 days without walking my dogs, and my husky was obviously desperate for a walk. I was not completely well yet, but I decided to take him because my Oso was going crazy. We got ready and headed out. 10 minutes into the walk, I was feeling sick and felt nauseous. My husky turned to see me, and he just started walking towards home. I can imagine him thinking "WTF, you're still sick, let's go home"😘😘😘😘 I also felt down once while walking him. I let go of the leach and of course his first instinct was to run. I didn't even had time to say ouch! because I had to go after him. He turned around and noticed I was hurt and he stopped and waited for me. Just love him so much.

    • Same with kids. Until a certain age they do NOT change their behavior without a smack on the bottom. Lots of studies done by non-liberals have proven this time and again.

    • @@Hahyeahno Dogs are very smart. They respond to body language and territorial definition. Same command every time. Once my lab/spaniel boy got running down the road, nothing could stop him. I got a hold of him once and held him down at the side of the road by the scruff of the neck for 3 minutes. After that, no running away down the road. I walked the perimeter of his "territory" with him 3 times a day for months. It was hard because both his mother and his father (that he fought with) lived within a block of our place. Finally, his friend, a female collie next door, became more important to him.
