Standard Push Up is a compound movement that is very beneficial not just for developing pectoral (chest) muscle but for entire upper body strength. Multiple muscles work while performing this exercise. However, in order to avail of the benefits, it is very important to perform it with perfect posture and correct technique.

I have never seen a more wonderful and explanatory video about push ups and exercise than this. Really good work. Now I realize what mistakes I was doing while doing push ups and why my elbows pained, thats because I was putting my elbows outward. I used that wall push-ups at the start of my days then went on inclined & declined planes then on the simple ones. last I was using weights on my back doing push-ups. the best technique for strength. Doing 4 times a week.
