6 wildcards for Emma this year and she is still outside top 200, this has been said many times, she has to play lower level tournaments, get matches to improve her level, stamina & ranking. Kalinskaya was outside top 100 at the end of 2023, she played 2 challengers, got to the final of one and won the other, she put her tennis together there and now she is #25
That’s cause she has no points from last year, her only points are from the year so far and she’s 58 in the race. She’s gonna be down the rankings cause everyone else has points from the tournaments from now to the end of the year. She’s had 3 events in the last few weeks weeks showing her best consistency so far at this level so you can’t be too critical, she needs have a short term rest and go again in the next tournament.
@@jgooner894 yes, no points ahead but still Madrid was just a wasted opportunity, she was playing good vs Iga and looses to a qualifier super easy
Yes, was thinking Emma might make a good showing here by her last 5 matches but this loss is quite disappointing. Hoping for a deep run for Kalinskaya too, maybe a rematch with Rybakina!
This is such a valid and logical argument. Someone level headed enough to simplify and digest Emma's current level instead of just hating her for having one amazing run despite being young and still at a stage where she's developing her game. She's also unfortunately had to deal with some injuries, but in consideration of that as well as her level of inconsistent fitness, play, and results, rebuilding her the ground up could only benefit her. I believe Emma has the talent and still seemingly the on court passion, but she seems to be misguided in her career whether in her own decisions and/or that of her teams' for her.
@@dandresaldi Her below par performance I do think is partly down to her needing a recharge now. She pushed through being tired in Stuttgart she said. She had intense training after Miami and then had 3 back to back events having quite a few matches in a short period where she’s not been used to that. I expect her to be better after some rest.
El tenis Argentino, necesita de estas jugadoras.. Vamos.. 👍
But she is ROARING like big animal? That's why I wish her all the WORST in further carrier.
Maybe she really should play qualifying rounds instead of just taking all these wild cards
She will be forced to play qualifying rounds at Roland Garros - lol
Agreed. She admits that she needs match practice, especially out of doors. So why not qualify? Worked in Flushing Meadows....
@@guyshirra824 Guys, guys! Listen to me. She's not gonna win another tournament again! She will stay in focus so that she can make more millions in the next few years and then retire as an iconic British player.
RADDERS can't take wild cards unless she is offered them !!
It's as toss up though between gaining confidence and form from (hopefully) winning qualifiers and the easier route of getting ranking points through a win as a WC. I can 't really blame her for taking the WC's though, it's not like she drew Iga today is it? This is a match on paper she would be confident of winning and exactly the kind of opponent she might meet in qualifiers anyway if she took that route.
Damn, Maria hammered Emma... supremely dominant performance. She had a choke hold on her throughout the match... impressive stuff from the Argentinian qualifier! 🙂
so Emma played 3 good tennis matches in a row this year, now back to her level
And what level is that ?
Carlé might be even louder than Sabalenka.
Sabalenka didn't even thrash Raducanu this bad.
Emma WildcardNU is exhausted from lugging around a heavy bag with 999 wild cards in it...
😂😂😂😂
OMG Wildcarnu!!!! LMFO...
lol.
Im fan of of her n u r right😂
Love the 'inventiveness' of these people with their 'nicknames' for RADDERS, they've obviously given it a lot of thought. What gets me is they're all attracted to RADDERS in their own way, (like no other player attracts them), EMMA 'owns' them !!
Lol when Emma was winning in BJK people were saying that clay may be her surface and she would be a contender for French Open. Poor Emma fans 😂
She is good on the surface and will get better. This loss doesn’t change that, she’s had a good few weeks, don’t need to over gas things or make comments in the other direction.
Those matches are fixed.
@@jgooner894 No, Raducan'tu is mentally unsuitable for consistent tennis. She mentally dialled out of this match. Unless she can fix her mental state, she needs to give up tennis and go back to modelling.

This was a very impressive performance by Carle, looking forward to watching her on the next round. As for Emma, she didn't play badly, Carle was just really good.
Hahahaahahahaaaaha... Carle didn't win this match, Emma lost it.
Emma didnt play badly? LOL where do you guys crawl out of? She got her ass handed to her by Carle.
Carle's first or second ever WTA main draw match win at 24. Shows the real Raducanu level. Absolutely thrashed by a player with pretty much zero WTA main tour level experience.

I'm not her big fan and I criticized her more than once in the past, but after BJK and the tournament in Stuttgart where Emma played really well, I thought that something had finally moved forward in her game, but as you can see I was wrong :(
I know your feeling but is how it is ... the 2021 US Open never be forgotten. She still young and maybe the fortune change 👍💕🍀
It's only one match.
She won 2 matches in 3 consecutive events at WTA level, she hasn’t done that before so she in fact has moved forward. If she plays the same after having a short term rest which she needs with where her fitness is right now then you could say she hasn’t moved forward.
Me too, but her excuses are rather sad. Federer, at 35, came back from 6 months out to win the Australian open. She's only 22, How she expects to win 4 or 5 tough matches in a row to win a tournament is beyond me.
@@jgooner894 Wow are expectations for her on the floor.
Emma‘s back to her usual…
What usual are you referring too
The WTA and sponsors have invested too much in Raducanu to let her compete like all the other players. Remember when she was going to be the first billion $ female athlete? She will be given permanent wildcards, and all the free points that come with it.
The French won't give her a wildcard for Roland Garros 😂

6 wildcards this year for Emma and she is not even into the top 200, she has to earn her way back, be humble and play 125s and 250s to build her tennis and stamina
The defense from Carle was out of this world, which is the straw that broke the Camel's back . Raducanu thought playing a good shot should suffice , but guess what, the ball is still coming back into your court - LOL !
That's why playing on clay takes a lot of stamina. You can think you hit a great shot, then oh, oh that ball comes right back! 😅 I'm beginning to appreciate the clay courts more!
@@godz4ever404 Shows how much energy Nadal puts into his French Open wins.
Just 2 winners from Raducanu in the first set. Shows how committed she was to the match.
She's a very good defender--I'd expect that from an Argentine clay courter, they're great on that surface--but Radacanu was for the most part hitting a lousy ball.
@@arunraju9705her fans said FlukeSureCanu was dominant the whole match until she lost.
Maybe if people stop talking about this girl, the British media stop overhyping her, tournament organizers stop giving her wildcard and big brands stop wasting their sponsorship on her, she will start to learn to play decent tennis in order to make a living.
agree - Raducanu overrated, over hyped, big brands going down the wrong road - Maria Carle, no frills player
The next wild card is needed
Emma the one hit wonder? Can't use injury excuses etc this time.
Krejcikova is one hit wonder because is not able to repeat the championship nor defend her title but is still able to beat Saba & Swiatek. Raducanu’s is a fluke
She did use it, sorta. She's calling it fatigue nowl. For someone who played 5 matches in 6 weeks, she sure needed time to recharge!!
But apparently she's tired, and it's only April!
And NINE coaches within TWO AND HALF YEARS!
@@andrzejkrasnicki Changing coaches is one of her excuses. She couldn’t repeat the fluke because of coaches.
Congratulations carle for your win stay strong Emma

Getting introduced to Carle. Her game is serious.
Let’s remember carle was not the original draw for raducanu. Pliskova was suppose to play but pulled out with injury. And carle made the most of it while raducanu will soon be forced to go thru qualifying at tourneys if she keeps up this kind of display. But clay is the great equalizer amongst all players

Not a good day for Raducanu. Great to see new talent coming through. Well done Carle.
FlukeSureCanu has a couple good days after USO fluke
Will change coach, again 😮
Raducanu is obviously a talented player and her top level is way above this girl’s level. I would file this as a bad day at the office after quite a busy schedule. She’d just won 4 matches in a row (before losing to Swiatek) for the first time since her US Open victory. Given time and more match practice (and injury-free status), I can easily see her winning a few WTA 1,000 tournaments. Whether she will bag another Slam is another question. However, you don’t fluke a Grand Slam victory. The universe is telling you you are the real deal when you win one of the majors.
WOW 4 matches, what an achivement, give her a medal!!!!

Emma is proving now that run at the open was kinda an anomaly, she got on a hot streak on a court surface that fit her game perfectly. If you look at her results before and after that she’s barely a top 50 player but she’s reaping the benefits and social status of a top 10 player. This is exactly why people consider Emma's US Open win a fluke. On a "flukey" day her shots can end up anywhere. Carle basically said, "Nope I am not giving you any breathing space". Emma, at best is a mediocre player masquerading as a GS winning player. Her fans should reconsider why they love her so much.
What nonsense ?? Nobody who plays the game (or has played the game) suggests a player can 'fluke' a slam, least of all a 'qualifier' . Masquerading as a GS winning player ?? To my knowledge RADDERS is quite 'deffo' a GS winning player. A mediocre player, who 'bageled' the WTA 31 Noskova, then took the 'queen of clay' to a tie-break' and previously had single handedly beaten the 'frogs' in their own backyard in BJK Cup !!
This is a ridiculous take.
I agree. Emma is a mediocre player . I think people realised that a while ago. She is good but dnt think she will be winning any 500 or 1000 titles any time soon. However, she is just 21 so who know s she might win some titles.
