LIFE BEYOND: Chapter 1. Alien life, deep time, and our place in cosmic history (4K)

Support this project on Patreon: / melodysheep | The biggest question of our time. Are we alone? Chapter 1 of this experience takes you to alien worlds and distant places in time and space, in search of where alien life might be hiding and what our place is within the history of life. After generations of wondering, the truth is finally within our reach. New research and technologies have brought us closer than ever to an answer - only a few decades in the eyes of some NASA scientists.
The search has led to new discoveries that will blow your mind wide open and give a profound new perspective on human life. The deeper we look, the deeper we see into nature's imagination, and the more we learn about ourselves. I hope stewing on these thoughts tickles your brain as deeply as it does mine.
In upcoming chapters of Life Beyond we will explore making contact with intelligent life, the potential physics of alien biology, how to survive the end of the universe, and more. Follow and support my creative journey on Patreon: / melodysheep

I wanted to follow up Timelapse of the Future with a more optimistic perspective of human life and our place in the history of the universe. We really do live in a privileged moment and we have a remarkable opportunity to shape the future. Finding alien life will contextualize our own existence, and open our eyes to what else nature has dreamt up beyond our ourselves, potentially bestowing huge breakthroughs in science, technology, and philosophy.

Other than that, congratulations, you definitely have an incredible talent, I'll be recommending your channel non stop
imagine one day when you log on to a website and it asks you what planet are you from.
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but the internet travels at light speed, this means that it would take 4 years for the internet to reach Proxima Centauri, yea, the web will never be interstellar Bro I barely remember writing this and to think it was only 7 months ago, crazy. Anyways, the system could exist to transport data, but it would be far to expensive for its use. NOW HOWEVER, if humans were to only colonize the solar system, very likely, then a united web browser could exist. We got plenty of room and resources that we barely even know what to do with. Just a little ingenuity can go a long way, humans didn't dare live on Antarctica in the past, but look where we are now
Oerlikon20mm you could just put an internet on proxima centauri too
@Marco Hernandez There's already theories on utilizing quantum entanglement to create FTL communications, and while we'll likely never get truly real-time comms across interstellar distances, we can very likely get usable communication methods via quantum entanglement. Picture something like the Ansible from Ender's Game, which also works via quantum entanglement. It's an exaggerated version, but the idea behind it is plausible.

Our planet is rare because of the size moon we have. The gravitational force causes a lot of energy. Also it might have kept our core molten for as long as it did, where other similar sized planets may have already lost it including their protective magnetic field. We are truly lucky.
Not only that, our civilisation might not even exist without the meteor impact happened in Cretaceous.
@STRIDER_503 Well, lifewise, it doesn't matter if "we" are here or not. "We" posting here could be dinosaurs descent, "reptilians" instead of "humans" if Chicxulub disaster didn't occur. Maybe "we" could even be millions of years ahead in progress and evolution, and of course Space exploration, if natural selection didn't have to wait for another dominant species to rise from ashes. Or even already extinct from millions years... Of course, that doesn't mean that "reptilian I" would be born and post this comment, but in the field of probability, I could be a "reptilian me" stating the exact same concept. Unless you don't think "we humans" are the elected species. 😉

This is amazing. I'm so glad I don't have to wait to jump into parts 2 and 3!
Man... this is how a documentary has to be done. I'm speechless and moved. This is colossal.

@@carlosherbertdresbach8859 More than that

@@simulationprince8718 Hello alt account
Melodysheep deserves a playbutton for every video they upload. Edit: spelling mistake oops
What a world we live in. I can't believe in this age of accessible knowledge, some people remain ignorant. Must be the government's fault, they handle dperatments of education.
Jake and Logan Paul can shove it lol

You are 110% correct! Thank you!
they get famous for cringe-worthy challenges and pranks smh
This is a pivotal moment in documentaries concerning the infinite possibilities that the incredible universe has to offer. In an infinite universe, there are infinite possibilities. Absolutely superb. Thank you so much for this incredible series 🙏
Melodysheep, you rejuvenate storytelling itself! My new fireplace.💥💚 Amazing stuff.
Also can we appreciate the SHEER amount of time it takes to create such high quality content.
Better than National Geographic

That’s crazyy 😭💙 all my childhood dreams were real bruh
and props to all the band members that carried their instruments around the universe to play to all these magical moments while the camera team was recording the scenes. good job!
Some Kid 200+ years from now will see this and think that's how this vid was really made lol
And props to the catering service, drivers, etc...
Don't forget the writers.
@@sadhna7865 yes shout out to the whole decoration crew that placed these floating letters in in space
what amazes me is how many voice impersonations the cameraman was able to make. a true vocal talent he should go to disney pixar or something
I feel like melodysheep is one of the best content creators in his field alto a change in the channel name would have helped me find this sooner
The last bit brought tears to my eyes!
I wish they would show this video to kids in schools, that would bring their curiosity so much instead of just reading books.
Sadly they won't
I wish they would too. Its mainly the way they teach, not so much books. Although I do wish it were less boring. Making it interactive and interesting can spark so much interest.
Sadly some kids still won't understand
my father is a high school physics teacher, i showed him melodysheep's videos and he likes them so much he plans on showing them in class! it can happen, and we can give it a little push to start.
@@BlueFlagAlpha it's not about understanding. kids wont understand. but you will be planting seed in them to think in broader spectrum.
Imagine kids in school during the year 100000 having to learn all the history.
They wouldnt be human kids we gon die in like 40 years at this rate
They wouldn’t learn about this shit what do you learn about 10000 years ago even
@@Keeby. every generation thinks the same. Imagine what it was like in the first world war, heck even medieval times when everything was ALOT worse than things are now.
@@iCore7Gaming yea they wasnt worse then rn when the US and russia, 2 countrys that hate each other, have bombs that can destroy all of human civilization. not to mention the many other problems we have like global warming
@@Keeby. US and Russia don't exactly hate each other. Pretty much everyone is neutral. Also no one in their right mind would actually use a nuke. They are there to keep peace. Also global warming may kill people yes, but it certainly won't render earth uninhabitable. Even so humans will survive, we are so much more adaptable than other life.
Absolutely brilliant video! This channel is one of the best ever perhaps in the known multiverse. I don’t know who you are, but I love you, MelodySheep for the breadth of your vision and ability to communicate such mind expanding realities!
I've seen a couple of videos on this channel and they always make me cry, I don't know why, if it's sadness, joy or melancholy, tears just flow

Thanks for your wonderful work! These videos always remind me that how small we are, and how huge is the universe. All those things that we considered as “must-do” are actually just trivial matters in the scale of universe. Very enlightening
And so, a new melodysheep video style was born
Documentaries have the risk to be perceived as boring or too complicated by people...but this is more like an action or a fantasy movie. You cannot get bored watching this...with the music, the beautiful phrases, the images...whoever has created this has made an amazing job.
This guy has been taking notes.
As a person with ADHD it’s always been hard focusing but when it comes to space documentary’s i’ve never complained
@@haydenpotter9115 Yep. I loved them so much as a kid. History, Nature documentaries - nah or maybe Space documentaries - already sitting on a couch, press play already!
@@_Killkor in my opinion, when you look at the magnificent vastness of space, humanity is insignificant. History I do not find interest in, more so prehistory seems more luring. Because our path to where we are was filled with the stupidity of mankind. Nature documentaries I can appreciate, as, well, it is a miracle we have this beautiful planet. But oh my lord, nothing beats the cosmos. Nothing here.
i got bored
Why do people DISLIKE this masterpiece?!
For the same reason that some people hate chocolate. Could be on religious grounds, the lenght, or the music, or the text was hard to read, or no narration, etc.
egocentrism?
I hope that these people think is the download button, or something like that...
they trust in god i think...
The same reason people watch stupid tv shows, filled with filth people with IQ total of 200, considering there are dozen of them involved.
loved this so much. great edit
The first couple minutes are so beautiful it actually made me cry, in a good way.

Living forever would just get boring when everything gets destroyed
“If we’re alone, it would be an awfully big waste of space...”
Ahh great movie that is :)
i agree
technically it wouldn't since stars continue to burst and more resources start to form we could and i say that lightly, be like nomads making homes in other places with rich resources to sustain us. and if we survive as a species we could eventually find a way to make new life but that would be a great feat to accomplish.
Might I enquire as of to which movie this relates to?
This is pretty philosophical but who says there's a reason for anything? Maybe this universe wasn't made for us and life is just a fluke
The intro was the amazing...i literally cry with the sound of it ..
I don’t remember the last time I shed so many tears; tears of joy for the vastness, complexity and absolute beauty of our young universe.
How do I appreciate this enough. The quality of this Production, the music, the visuals. Amazing ❤
If there is intelligent life out there, it’s at least intelligent enough to avoid us.
good haahhhahahahaha
True. If it can travel interstellar distances it’s clever enough to know humanity is dangerous and shouldn’t be tampered with
they should avoid us considering the fact we almost blew ourselves up more than once.
That's true.
It kinda explains why we haven't found life yet or should I say why life hasn't found US yet.
This is quite the breathtaking masterpiece. For those who take an interest to astronomy, cosmology and science in general, this is like watching your favorite movie. Atleast it is to me. I'm thankful for the time and effort that you put into making these videos, this is the sort of content that KZhead needs more of.
