Support my work on Patreon: / melodysheep | Get the soundtrack: bit.ly/2HKl9fi | How's it all gonna end? This experience takes us on a journey to the end of time, trillions of years into the future, to discover what the fate of our planet and our universe may ultimately be.
We start in 2019 and travel exponentially through time, witnessing the future of Earth, the death of the sun, the end of all stars, proton decay, zombie galaxies, possible future civilizations, exploding black holes, the effects of dark energy, alternate universes, the final fate of the cosmos - to name a few.
This is a picture of the future as painted by modern science - a picture that will surely evolve over time as we dig for more clues to how our story will unfold. Much of the science is very recent - and new puzzle pieces are still waiting to be found.
To me, this overhead view of time gives a profound perspective - that we are living inside the hot flash of the Big Bang, the perfect moment to soak in the sights and sounds of a universe in its glory days, before it all fades away. Although the end will eventually come, we have a practical infinity of time to play with if we play our cards right. The future may look bleak, but we have enormous potential as a species.
Featuring the voices of David Attenborough, Craig Childs, Brian Cox, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Michelle Thaller, Lawrence Krauss, Michio Kaku, Mike Rowe, Phil Plait, Janna Levin, Stephen Hawking, Sean Carroll, Alex Filippenko, and Martin Rees.

The good news is none of this filth is going to happen because Christ is going to come back and fix it, and then it will last forever. And if it does happen, Christ will simply return it to it's former glory. And then all man will be raised from the dead.

  • "we could create simulated virtual universes, or with enough energy, create another one just like our own." is a line that fascinates me everytime i watch this because both of these are so crazy to think about. how would you create a virtual universe? how would you gather the energy to create a universe? where? when? how? i can't even come to even the slightest guess, and that's why i've always been fascinated by things like this. the feeling of reading a question so crazy you can't even answer is the best feeling out there. ever since i was young, i've always loved the future more than the past. most of the past, like history and such, has already been proven. this happened, that happened... but the future, what i love so much about it, is how unpredictable it is. people love to ponder about questions that won't be answered in practically forever, they love to make theories and philosophies, and the best part is, we don't know if they'll come true.

I honestly feel like that would be more helpful to know about the past but i still think past is past its just that you gotta know atleast something about it im in 8th grade and its boring learing bout the past in school, i cant concentrate nor understand anything.

    • Just think if humans would be able to get to a stage in our small time (0.0000000000000 how ever many 0's .1% of time the universe has been around) that we could create a virtual universe, then theres a 99.9% chance that we are already in a virtual universe. there is trillions of galaxies and thats just our estimate with septillions of planets and stars and moons, how ever many way more advanced life than us out there existing, has existed and will exist. No chance we would be the first ones to make this. So the theory we are living in a simulation doesn't seem that ridiculous now.

I prefer the ending where humanity cannot escape our universe... That ending feels... Conclusive. The thought that our universe begins with glory, and slowly dissipates into nothingness... That brings me comfort. Nothing I do will change the fate of the end. I'm insignificant, and I find genuine peace in that. I don't want to be an important figure. I don't want to make an impact. I'm content in knowing that my existence is just a small spark in history.

    • The Bible calls us to become heavenly men, and to pass into the next universe. The heavens as we know them will disappear. And the earth, with the works therein, will be consumed. And the events of the beginning will no longer be remembered. For I will create new heavens and a new earth. Past things will no longer be remembered, they will no longer come to mind (Isaiah 65:17). If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The quality has changed, so the new heaven and earth will be like our new nature (2 Corinthians 5:17). For this corruptible body must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality (1 Corinthians 15:53). Since the soul will be at the top of nobility and power it will confer on the body that will be divinely united to it its new qualities. The more the soul informs the body, the more it radiates the beauty of it, which reflects the beauty of God. We can only speculate on what the heavenly world might look like. Whether God replaces the present stars and planets with new ones, or transforms them or gives them a new appearance or configuration, definitive, it is something that we will discover when the time comes. In heaven we will eat just for the taste, just for pure ecstasy. Water is only for the pleasure of drinking. No substance is necessary, but all are for pleasure. Our new body will be incorruptible, beautiful, powerful. A body similar to the body of the risen Christ and its new abilities such as rising in the air, crossing a wall, moving almost instantly from one place to another. It will also be a body of dazzling splendor. The glorified body of Christ is described as having the brightness of the sun at its zenith. Thus, the saints will recognize the smallest differences between smells, they will hear heavenly praises with perfection, and their visual acuity will be increased. They will be like the angels of God in heaven (Matthew 22:30). The Holy Scriptures explain that it is not to angels that God has submitted «the world to come» that we are talking about, but to humans who will one day be glorified and become spiritual beings. This prophecy reveals that God created humans temporarily inferior to the angels (Hebrews 2:6-8). Nevertheless, God offers human beings the opportunity to be glorified, to become spiritual members of his own divine family and to take possession of the whole universe. “All things” includes all the planets, all the stars, all the galaxies that - in this creation - are so innumerable that it is breathtaking. Astronomers now estimate that there are between 200 and 500 billion galaxies and even more, each containing billions of stars! Such figures are incomprehensible to us, but they exceed the number of human beings who have lived in history. God is love and he aspires to be served by love, by showing your free will. For your choice will be decisive, either for eternal life or for eternal death. It is by faith that we understand that the universe was harmoniously organized by the word of God, and thus the visible world draws its origin from the invisible (Hebrews 11:3). It is God who stretches the north of heaven over the void, and who suspends the earth above nothingness (Job 26:7). The heavens tell the glory of God, and the expanse manifests the work of His hands (Psalm 19:1). I am the Lord, and there is no other, Outside of me there is no God (Isaiah 45:5). I am the alpha and the omega, says the Lord God, the one who is, who was, and who comes, the Almighty (Revelation 1:8). . .

Realizing and understanding my own insignificance in the cosmic scale only deepens my appreciation for life, even as a Nihilist who realizes and understands the futility of existence. It doesn't mean that there is no reason to live. Every day we live we experience new things, we create our own purpose for living. Enjoy what you can while you can because, as this video demonstrates, time and the universe don't care. Make what tiny fraction of it you have count for you.

I am the alpha and the omega, says the Lord God, the one who is, who was, and who comes, the Almighty (Revelation 1:8). ... .
