I think it’s a strategy Nowadays car companies launch the worst model first then gradually release better ones Like supra with automatic then few years later manual Same thing might just be happening to this generation’s charger/challenger ? Or maybe they’re fr when they say no more gasoline charger/challenger
Hey TFl crew, just a friendly reminder that you need to turn HDR OFF on your iPhones when filming for KZhead. Otherwise you get the washed out look that we see in this video. (Also, the HDR setting tends to turn itself back on, so unfortunately you need to double check that it’s off before you start filming every time. Hopefully Apple fixes that in an update soon.)

The case of BudLight already is😂
@nothingtoseaheardammit Maybe but I doubt it. In the current regulatory climate it cost Stellantis literally hundreds of millions to buy carbon credits (purchased from Tesla) so they could make and sell Hemis. If they would have had a brain in their heads they would have developed a 4L DOHC V8 twin-turbo that could have met standards -- then they would still have a V8. They had years of profits selling Hemis to plan for the future but they were too dumb and too greedy.

Tesla model plaid is heavier then this car and the current hell cat and it gaps super cars weight isn’t a issue for electric vehicles
@Starry_Dupree a plaid is under 4800lbs and it has 1000hp. All the teslas are lighter. slso no they don't have an issue with weight for the power they have at all. This electric dodge will have a much worse power to Weight. An 11.5 quarter mile is is an entry level quarter mile. That's what a tesla p85D ran in the quarter mile back in 2015........a model 3 performance is faster with 400+hp and under 4000lbs. This electric dodge running 11.5 at 5800 lbs is due to the weight because it has the power to do better but a model 3 beats it with 200 less horsepower, so the weight for the dodge is definitely an issue. To be fair tho, the styling on the dodge is better than a model 3 performance but with a multi gear transmission and noise maker and big breaks beefy suspension and big tires and bigger body dimensions explains why this dodge is so heavy.
Uses 13853 iphone batteries😂
Not really 🤨
3 AA Batteries !
5,800 lbs is just stupid for this car. That is insanely heavy.
It's heavy, but the ice rwd versions could top 4,500# with options and fuel. So ad another couple hundred on for awd and then the standard ev weight penalty. Then it starts to make sense imo. Although tesla model s plaid is 4,700-4,800# with a similar size and battery to this. 😀 And the lr model s is 4,400# with the same size 100kwh gross capacity pack. Even the lucid air sapphire tri motor 118kwh pack car is 5,330# Probably the issue was building it on a flexible ice/bev platform vs ev only. Bet it hurts dodge in the long run. 🤔

The Electric Charger. The car no one asked for. This lines up perfectly with Stelantis' work on the Jeep brand and the cool looking but useless for off roading Rekon, and the slightly less useless 4XE wrangler. Again, this is Stellantis completely not understanding their target consumer. Frunk. Just enough room for a small gas generator... Maybe its the video, but the lines of this car are pretty sterile and bland. The roofline sort of reminds me of the Avenger. Even if it wasn't electric, I'm not sure I could get excited about it. It just doesn't look the part. No, the bee does not belong on any electric car. It's a travesty of marketing. From a fleet mileage perspective, this car makes sense. However, They could have easily made some other small fuel efficient cars (not the hornet or the dart) or other battery powered car and kept at leat the i6 as a powerplant to keep their overall numbers compliant. And don't preach the pending doom of 2035 and all electric cars. It isn't going to happen and everyone with half a brain knows it. And OMG, what an effing pig. nearly 6k pounds? Assuming the large percentage of this is the battery needed to move it as quickly as they want to make it a cool 'muscle' car. What a waste of materials and environment. MSRP? I'm going guess starting north of $65k for a base model.
I'm sure if they could turn back time they'd delay this entirely since EV's are piling up at dealers during this inflationary time period. At least they have some ICE's coming......

I would think you can’t buy one of these and store it thinking it will be a collectors one day for the future and expect the battery to still be good after 10-20 years even keeping it on a trickle charge . @@damilolaakanni hahahah so true. I guess Dodge's favorite light. I'm only kidding.
Remember those early cars with a taxidermied horse mounted on the front?
I like the styling in both two and four doors but I would like a six-cylinder tiwn turbo engine as well or a hybrid version apart from an electric
i was hoping that with E.Vs not selling well Dodge would rethink the killing of the Hemi and use only a hybrid system in their new cars.
Is it just me or does the styling remind you of the Audi S5 back when it first came out.
I really love this vehicle. Super cool hatch on the back quietly brings it to the future where sedan trunks are dead! I really want to feel the all wheel torque on launch!
As always, a great review! I think is is a food idea to offer these cars in electric power or ICU power! I also like the looks of the cars too.
136 mph that's good they can't out run the cops nor a Honda Civic
When the hurricane model gets released it would be cool to see this as a GTR competitor depending on the mod-capability of the drivetrain.
... sigh
Gtr will still be better!
why is there a check engine light if there is no "engine"
Bc some have engines lol
And how much to replace the batteries when they wear out?
Mixed feelings. Its Chrysler Dodge product, so, you really want to love it to bits. All credit to Mopar for working really hard, to do a great job with the EV transition and the bottom line is they really do have to do something, or just rollover and die, and no one wants that. All credit to TFL for doing a great detailed presentation, and thanks to Chrysler for sharing a lot more than most about their new babies. I guess the heartbreak is, there are inherent EV features for which there is just no workaround. It's a 3 ton car, can't change that, it is what it it is. It's going to be as much of a nightmare to get it charged up as any other EV. It will be prone to spontaneous combustion, can't change that, and while the price is not given, I do not hold any illusions for a compelling purchase price, like all other EVs out there. Hmmm, send tissues, lots of them, while we wait to find out the next chapters of this story.
where was engine?
Next year it a inline6
Bud Light - Hey ya'll. Watch this. Dodge - Hold my beer.
Fun fact. The STLA platform is the same platform you’ll find underneath a Peugeot 3008, or a FIAT 600 😂😂
Kinda, beacuse the fiat 600 uses the STLA small that is more like an evolution of the E-cmp or PSA EMP1, and the peugeot uses the STLA medium, this is the STLA large that i velive is an evolution of the giorgio one.
WHEN can I buy the Sixpack version in a 4-door? That's all I need to know. When will that configuration hit the lots?
