  • Definitely have to enjoy V8 manuals while they’re still around. Happy the V8 Mustang is still here. The new S650 Mustang is so similar to the previous gen S550 Mustangs. It’s more like a facelift more than a new generation. I purchased a 2021 GT with 30k miles for $30 out the door 3 months ago. With only 2 performance mods (Headers and E85). I was just above 500 whp to the wheels. Tracked my Mustang twice so far and with Magnaride suspension from factory the car was a so good on race track. Takes turns really well and fast on the straightls. Not as engaging as my BRZ on track but pretty close considering how much bigger the Mustang is.

The average person can't even afford older sports cars anymore and GOOD LUCK if you are into 90s/early 2000s JDM. Nothing is obtainable for an average car guy or a young person wanting to get his first car. Even old 90s civics that are clean can cost you 10k+ unless you get an absolute junker.

Of course they are going to think a crappy ford is better. The GR engine is an overbuild 1.6 l with 3 cylinders that puts out 300 hp. Ford could never engineer anything close to that.

The dealership I went to DOES NOT do any type of market adjustments which is why I did not hesitate. Three weeks ago I got the call and Im very excited ($46800 out the door for those who like knowing numbers). The car will be coming in April. But.......there is a small part of me that thinks "man I love the sound of a v8" and how enjoyable the powerband is. To the others watching this, am I making a mistake getting the corolla? All your paying for is cosmetics with the higher trims levels, not worth it (to me), ill buy and install some nice lightweight comfy racing seats, purchase a circuit edition hood with vents and a circuit edition spoiler. And after all that Id still have spent less that a circuit edition. After 3 months with my GRC, I daily it everyday/ everywhere never skips a beat, hugs corners with no hesitation and gives positive feedback and confidence, rides is firm but comfortable. I can use all the the power safely. if you want a "FUN" daily this is it. If you wanna detour after work and do some donuts in an empty parking lot real quick go for it, i have done this and its very easy almost as if the car GRC knows you want to do some donuts. The driving experience is very dynamic and will give you what you want on your command, want to save gas and cruise it'll do it, I average 32mpg at 70-75mph, its not a prius and i didnt buy it for gas mileage but I was happy knowing I can get 30+mpg if i wanted to. In closing here I was looking at big V8's (challengers, camaros, mustangs, SCSB trucks) before I started looking at the GRC. I decided to look at a GRC and test drive one at a dealer and I knew instantly this is what I want to drive everyday, put a grin on my face everytime I drive my GRC, before work, after work, lunch break, on the way to funeral, back home from a funeral. I will be sad when I have to leave for california for a week for work. if you haven't already test driven a GR corolla. DO IT NOW call around and ask if you can test drive one. only then will you know if its right for you.
