Yeah but Hollywood tends to alter the plots of novel storylines. If this'll be anything like Harry Potter or The Hobbit or those god awful Percy Jackson movies, many events or even characters will completely vanish just to accommodate production budgets or satisfy corporates
Like hell! In the book you don't know it's a plague till right at the end of the book, up to that point it's a total mystery that keeps you guessing. They totally gave away the main plot line. STUPID!

+leonis hoxha the Dan Brown movies are quite blockbuster-y, and Robert Langdon is Hank's biggest blockbuster role. It's like saying Hugh Jackman will get an Oscar nom for Wolverine 3 next year. As much as I love both, they'll never get nominations for these roles. Hanks will get another nomination (and I believe a 3rd Oscar) before his career ends. He has many years left :)

One of the big reasons why the movies are so great is not only the good plot from Dan Brown but for me It’s also an excellent acting by Tom Hanks. When you look at him, you just believe every single thing that comes out of his mouth. I seriously can’t imagine someone else playing Robert. I hope there will be some more movies like this❤️🔥

Phew! It's nice to finally find a normal comment on this post! This is my favourite of all 3 films. Maybe its because of aging and years but Tom has made Langdon a lot more appealing. Even sweet at times. There's less mumbo jumbo and riddles and more character building. And even some romance in the last 10 minutes! Finally at the end of the third film Langdon gets a kiss 😅

I watched this trailer in theatre when I was there for Doctor Strange. That tsunami of blood scene at 1:51 was fucking badass one. I immediately fell in love with this movie.

I think they skipped "The Lost Symbol" in favor of "Inferno" because the plot lines were similar to Nicholas Cage's "National Treasure" with the US Gov't and the Freemasons, Illuminati, etc.

Can someone explain to me why the films adaptation of this series were not made in the way as the books released? Books: Angels and Demons (2000) The Da Vinci Code (2003) The Lost Symbols (2009) Inferno (2013) Film: The Da Vinci Code (2006) Angels and Demons (2009) Inferno (2016) BTW I am waiting for every films in this series.
if I were to guess I'd say they made 'The Da Vinci Code' first because of its popularity, then they probably just went back and did the first book 'Angels And Demons' Ron Howard said they skipped 'The Lost Symbol' because it felt too much like the other stories and 'Inferno' would be a better third movie... but he did say that something important should be done with The Lost Symbol ... so fingers crossed! :)

I'm wondering if there aren't problems being able to film under the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.? I'm sure the Dept. of Homeland Security is not giving Imagine Entertainment an easy time with that request after 9/11. It might feel like the other stories, but imo, it's very different. So much more personal to Robert Langdon.
