People love to roast DMC2, but everyone must admit that Infested Chopper is the absolute best waifu in the series
Finally, someone who gets it
Infested Tank is a close second
the chopper fills our dark souls with light
'BRING BACK BEST GIRLS' *shows Lady first* I see you have taste.
Leandro Crivelatti a man of the finest 💫

Grim:I didn’t really like Dante in dmc 4 Me(spits out drink) wait what
I think he is funny, and I do like his design in DMC4, but he doesn't really have to be there to move the story along.
And he didn't like subhuman in 5
King J. Grim it seems to me your issue isn't as much Dante himself but the fact that he's implemented poorly
K thanks for clearing that up
King J. Grim well Nero would be dead without him
Funny thing about DMC2 is that Lucia has a thing for Dante. It's mentioned in the DMC 5 manga I think.
Never mind, found it.
@Robert Holland Jr. WTF is wrong with you
@Robert Holland Jr. do you know who Trish even is?
@Robert Holland Jr. How curious..
@Robert Holland Jr. how interesting...
Easily one of the most famous video game franchises that not only created the coolest version of the "Cool Guy" - Dante, but managed to reinvent itself after the not so great sequel. What's more it defined how hack and slash games actually should be by combining elements from fighting games (combos) and mixing them with a traditional action game. It's no wonder people have gone crazy over it, as it's a thing that at the time of Devil May Cry 1 none other game actually managed to capture you into a trance of gameplay. P.S. Loved Devil May Cry 5 as it upped itself up once again gameplay wise and finally give a satisfying conclusion to the whole Son of Sparda saga, but, also, gave a much needed purpose to Nero. God damn mah boi finally grew up. Anyways 10/10 would play again. Capcom if you ever want to make another Devil May Cry please fix the Devil May Cry 2 first. Better off just remake it...
Ya devil may cry is the only series that has brought its self back from post sequel death twice
@@elapidpython4378 Twice ?
@@rohandante yes DMC 2 is one of the worst games ever made then DMC 3 came out and saved the franchise then the reboot came out and everyone thought that the franchise was dead then DMC 5 came out and was one of the best games ever made
i disagree with you on 4 and 3 but i am more of a guy that plays the Devil may cry games for gameplay. i love the characters but the gameplays is where its at for me. still pretty much all of your points make sense and are understandable and like you said. its how you see it and what you like the most about them. can't wait for the fire embleme review. LETTUCE AWAY
Devil may cry one was my first game in the series and I enjoyed every moment of it with the exception of the underwater parts I can say it "Filled my dark soul with light"
I really like DMC3 mainly because it focuses on Dante's story and how he became the man he was in the first game. It felt story centric and I like it.
The DMC have been a fun game have not yet play DMC 5 but I'm still waiting
Fun fact: We still don't know who originaly directed DMC2 before he left near the end of develepment and Hideaki Itsuno trying to salvedge it.
1. Dmc1 (mostly because of nostalgia) 2. Dmc5 3. Dmc3 4. Dmc4 5. DmC 6. Dmc2
1,3,4,2,5
Ya I can get on board with that as I actually did play 1 first followed by 3 then four and then five
3, 5, 1, reboot, 4 and 2 for me.
3 belongs to the top. No discussion there
For me: 1. DMC3 2. DMC 3. DMC5 4. DMC4 5. DmCD 6. DMC2
DMC3 was my first DMC game and Maan, I aint ever forgetting that feeling. DMC5 was brilliant but, its hard to move on from your FIRST LOVE.
I belive that your video of nero made me interested in the franchise. Thanks King J.
DMC3 is legit my childhood. I always wanted to be as cool as Dante lmao. 4 was fun and Dante was the best part Nero was aight. And sadly we waited 11 years for 5 and my childhood was calling me when I saw that trailer like my god. And it was worth every damn sec of 11 years
My list is actually the exact same as yours with 5 being a VERY close second to 3
2 seconds of spoiler dance? i feel robbed but is still better than no spoiler dance
My list is pretty much the same as yours with the only difference being that 5 is now my favourite of the series
You Don't have to figth every Boss in mission 18 you Just need to form a complete "circle" on the grid to move(the fastest route is to beat Cerberus, agini and rudra and Beowulf they're evidently the hardest Bosses in the game not counting Vergil) you only need to beat them ALL If you want a Blue Orb Fragment (diferent from 4 where you where Forced to face them ALL and the game even exclude Credo that is undoubtbly the best figth in the game) And i noticed that you still Didn't understand that Dante knowed out of the start that URisen(your Rison for figthing) was Vergil and That's why he acepted the gig
great video can't wait for more
That was my exact order of playing them except the reboot in between 2 and 5 😎
I wonder why you didn't mention Vergil at all i the franchise. To me he was always the key to continue the games just to know more signs of him. Specially in 3(even tho i just played it recently) but he showed his massive role in the whole franchise and leading it to new adventures and story. Man, this guy is the reason that Nero exists! The reason that keeps Dante's attitudes don't get to waste, and ofcourse leading his acts to become the LDH he is now, and yep, having fun with all the fights and amusements.(yeah comes clear that im mentioning him in 5, but! It all started from 3) Whenever there is sign of him in dmc games, it turns massive in my opinion. But it could be also a negative point because there's no bigger antagonist than him that tenses both dante and nero's nerves so bad(exclude mundus unless he comes back for revenge). But now that capcom somehow closed the case of vergil and fan service and probably the whole franchise, id say its been a bash for the whole series, and how they are connected to each other. My list from worst to best could be(both story and gameplay): 2 1 4 3/5 Its so hard to decide between 3 and 5, 3 is better story wise and is the root of the sequels' fighting styles and combat and 5 is amazing in both, literally many parts of 5 for dante are just remastered of 3. 5 has the whole games in it, demons from 1 and 3, battle designs and weapons from 3 and 4, some easter eggs from all other games, and gosh they even used so many battle techniques from DMCdmc, but pretty sure they nailed it. The whole games are unique in their own way. The only thing that i like in 2 is that the devs made a novel that could somehow connect it with the other stories, and yeah we realised that lucia is annoying for dante(somehow all sticky women in the games annoy him too much). But i loved them all even tho i got the chance to play them so late.
Lucia is a great character. She brings empathy and kindness instead of being a show off which is rare amongst other characters. She's the only thing I miss from DMC2
if i am being honest this list is almost identical to mine even playing dmc 4 as the first one and being 14 when i played it.
Devil May Cry 5 is near perfect for me. The only problems for me are how Vergil feels a little too easy and I bloody loath Subhuman, but beyond that Dante feels so good to play and Nero feels complete. The story’s a little silly but I enjoy it, and I keep playing it.
My personal list 1.) DMC 3 - A really good classic and I just grew up playing this one. I love the combos and the bosses. The costumes were cool, especially rocking the DMC 1 costume. Super Sparda was super rewarding as the last costume. Bloody Palace was so cool. Dislike how later games added a timer. After beating it as Dante, you could play as Vergil on the special edition. I loved this. I always wanted to play as Vergil and I'm glad I could. Combos felt even better. Mirror matches gave me even more joy. I loved playing through the game as Vergil. Playing as Nelo Angelo was also cool. Sadly I never did get Super Corrupted Vergil :( 2.) DMC 1 - Pure Nostalgia. I love this one, it's just so simple. The bosses are great, especially Nelo Angelo. Nightmare was great and his costume design was amazing. Playing sparda was also alright, but not as cool. I love his weapons in this game. Ifrit and Alastor were my favorite by far out of the whole series. 3.) DMC 5 - I love it. It's a great throwback to the last 5. The combos are amazing, the 3 characters add great diversity. Game felt short, like not enough to do once you beat it on several difficulties. Vergil was a great twist, I'm kinda slow so uh yeah. Devil Sword Dante is absolutely badass. Nero feels so overpowered and I love it. Combos with him feel powerful. Never liked the devil Breakers. V was alright, wasn't a fun of sitting back and letting his pets roam free. The costumes lacked. Wish you could use DMC 1 costume for Dante, DMC 4 for Nero, and perhaps classic Vergil colors for V. 4.) DMC 4 - I disliked it at first. Mainly because I didn't care for Nero, I wanted Dante. However I grew to like Nero and the bosses were great. Facing them like twice with both characters was amazing. Nero's brutality is the highlight of the game. One thing though is that it missions are often confusing. I never played the special edition so I can't give my thoughts on that part. 5.) DMC: Devil May Cry - I know how many people hate this game but I loved it. Yes the story is crazy, but I do like the concept of the game. The combos felt clean. I didn't get the special edition because uh no I'm broke lol. I missed the target lock and the color coded enemies made it less fun. There were some real bs moments in the game and the Donte's cursing is really unnecessary. Yeah I get it, he's edgy and doesn't care, but there really isn't a need to say "fuck you" a thousand times because he felt like it. The costumes were alright. Vergil's Downfall was cool. I loved playing as Vergil. The story I disliked, the ending though. I wish we knew what happened next. (Unless I'm unaware) Overall, it's cool. 6.) DMC 2 - I really hate how your guns felt more powerful than your sword. I never kept track of the story. I greatly disliked being forced to play both characters to unlock difficulties. The bosses sucked. I've played it once and once only. I quit after the first mission of Lucia. Combos don't feel clean at all and Dante doesn't seem to have a personality at all. I do like the swords and guns though. Probably the only thing I liked. That and playing as Trish seems cool. I never did unlock Trish, since once again, I said I quit after I beat Dante's story and Lucia's first Mission.
I see a lot of people talking about their nostalgia for DMC1 but it's worth noticing that it was an outsanding game for it's time. The Nelo Angelo fight was way ahead of it's time cuz welp for a lot of people it was the first time you could experience a dynamic 1V1 sword duel on 3D and a crazy good one too. Aside from that i dig your list, really close to how i feel and it's great to see some DmC (reboot) love
For me it's 3, 5, 1, reboot, 4 and 2. I totally agree with your points on the reboot and I hate the dumb fans who try to say 2 is better than the reboot which is a complete bullshit lie. This is coming from someone who's played every DMC game when it first came out too.
Yes indeed alastor and ifrit are the two dopest weapons in the entire series.
dmc 1 is an absolutely amazing game for its time, there wasnt nothing like it, for real nothing played like it, but yeah the second one sucks
Coming back to 4 after 5 is fucking rough, but I still love it.
I agree with Top 1 which is obviously DmC: Devil may Cry by Team Ninja Theory. Totally subbing after this video, would watch again. Thanks for being Grim.
Team Ninja Theory? 😂 did you have a stroke? Poor Ninja Gaiden.
@@SaberRexZealot I hope I didn't ! Or I'd have to worry about all these youtube personalities that switched team with theory, when they first reviewed the game !
Before I got to finishing the video i thought he actually put it on number 1 or a higher number
Can't decide between 3 and 5. 3 has the best story and soundtracks but 5 is a joy to play from beginning to end. I need to play 5 for 100 hours more to make call, right now I have too much nostalgia for 3.
Dmc 2 had gunplay ideas, that were better than some other games.. At the time. Gunplay was rough on console in the early 2000s
Maybe I am the only guy who enjoyed dmc devil may cry
3:38 That is saying something, considering we got PaRappa The Rapper xd
I have an idea In The Mind Of: Scorpion
I think most DMC fans (even the die-hard ones) tend to agree with you on DMC4. It's an unfinished tainted masterpiece. It's a love-hate relationship.
El Dante... I died with that.
My favourite part of DMC 2 is that phantom just shows up with no fan fair and then you kill him, again.
Phantom:Oh hey guys remember me? *dies*
Oh cmonnn man when are you going to do the Vergil vid?!?!? :((
Nice selection and I must say DMC 2 gets better when you unlock Trish as a playable character, her gameplay isn't better than DMC 1 or definetly not better that her gameplay on DMC 4, but it works I can do combos with her and it feels great, so the best of DMC 2 is when you play with Trish and forget that Dante and Lucia exist, still isn't enough to save the game sadly, but at least is a possitive aspect. 1.- DMC 3 2.- DMC 5 3.- DMC 4 4.- DMC 1 5.- DMC 2
DMC2 is bad yeah but you can't denied that it has the sexiest Dante and best soundtrack
Cool looking Dante yes. Soundtrack no.
Gotham Needs Me both of those no. 3 and 4 are the sexiest Dante’s.
They had Diesel design their alternate costumes, so it was good
No the reboot had the best soundtrack.
*In The Mind Of: Sol Badguy (Guilty Gear)!*
13:04 You said what about DMC 3!!?😂
Back in the day i had less than 10 games on the ps2. dmc1 and 2 were among them. Fewer games meant that i would tend to try and complete them 100%. I totally felt like it was inferior to the previous game, but i still played the hell out of it lol
my fav is probably number 3
Same only 3 and 5 are invert
If capcom doesn't have idea what are they going to do next, i think they should make a remake of dmc 1 or 2
Wait people defend dmc 2, this is new to me.
Brandon Ortiz its not common for people to defend DMC2. Their main defenses for the game are points like “Dante is not an annoying kid like in DMC3” or “DMC2 made gunplay what it is”. People really only defend this game if it is the first DMC they played and they are kinda blinded by nostalgia
Prince Blasian DMC2 did do things better than DMC1, gunplay and HUD were a couple of those things. It’s not a bad game, it’s just a very disappointing one.
@@yaboi2500 It is absolutely an awful game. DMC 2 had some good ideas that were executed awfully, and only became good in later games. DMC 2 itself is so shit it's easily one of the worst games ever made.
Dmc2 didn’t even have good combos. You just had a sword and guns. At least dmc1 gave you gauntlets to change things up.
Dmc2 is assjuice
13:03 Wait a minute...
Lol was searching for that
for me it is a tie between DMC3 and DMC5. both have something which the other lacks. in DMC5 we have 3 playable characters, which have their own unique playstyle. Nero has more variaty now, with his Devil Breakers. And Dante can carry so much weapons as we like. But i think the 3 playable characters making a little shorter as it feels like. So that i have the feeling to play much more levels with them. And that we just going through the stages, that it feels rushed at some some point. In DMC3(which was my first entrie to the series) Dante can´t switch between his styles and can carry only 2 weapons, what DMC5 made better. but on the other hand, it keep using my brain, making strategys etc. And it has the better battle themes for Dante. xP What i think both make good at the same time, lots of awesome boss fights, pretty cool music and a really good story. I really liked the conflict between Dante and Vergil in DMC3, and i found it cool how Nero was making peace between both of them in DMC5. It also makes Nero more like a new Hero who cares, and not to one of those "i am the new Hero so move aside old man"-Hero. Well, i just tried to descripe it, with my own points as good i can. sorry for the little gramma, i am german. ^^;
What about DMC devil may cry? Just interested in your thoughts on that game and where you would put it
Honest to god, I love that game.
If I ever get DMC5, I may get some joy out of it.
"Issues with subhuman" *Digital edition exists*
There is the new vocals as well. I mean, whats the problem with that version for people? Thought the only problem for people was that the first subhuman version we got the vocals sounded like a pig dying, but that changed drastically when they released the 2nd version with different versios,i believe most ppl changed their opinion on the song, but apparently not all of them,i wonder why they still dont like the song much...
Funny... my entry into the series was dmc2 back in 2004 and i was like 9-10. I do look back on it with nostalgia but with some cringe of how much I thought that it was the coolest game on the ps2. After playing the hd collection back in 2013 and dm4 on my ps3 (buying them my own money and not having to think carefully of what game I wanted to ask for b-day or Christmas was refreshing) I can safely say that 3 was definitely my fav. Yeah 5 looks, and REALLY plays amazing but 3 just has everything running on all cylinders.
DMC1 is still my favorite. It has a charm to it that's classic. The gothic environments were the best overall, even DMC3 level design begins to suffer in the last half of the game. I also love the devil trigger attacks in it. Devil trigger in DMC1 was not just a mechanic, it was integral to the game and that's not the case for most of the DMC games. DMC5 is the best overall though, and Dante's sin devil trigger was incredible.
Wonder what this list would look like....in the Mind of Vergil?
5:07 u have to fight 3 of them, u need to fight all for a blue orb fragment
Vergil video when???? Prob. same time as Vergil DLC :D
My list: 1. 5 2. 4 3. Reboot 4. 3 5. 1 6. 2
100% agree tbh but DMC 5 AND 3 are pretty even IMO
The mistake of DMC2 was that it wasn’t Dante’s story, and there was a breakdown of DMC2 and there was a lot of missed opportunities and stuff in it what could’ve saved it, but there wasn’t enough time to fix them, a remake would benefit it if those things could fixed
My list goes as follows 5, 3, 4, 1, & 2 with 5 & 3 ALMOST being at a tie
I really love DmC and Devil May Cry 5 those are the only ones I've played🙃
I'll get DMC5 when it's like.... 15 bucks

Wath about DMC Devil May Cry?
Dmc 5 is my favorite
Ranking the devil may cry games from my least favourite to my favourite 6) devil may cry 2 5) devil may cry reboot 4) devil may cry 1 3) devil may cry 4 2) devil may cry 3 1) devil may cry 5 It was really hard to decide if 3 or 5 was my favourite but I decided to go with 5 because As much as I love devil may cry 3 I find the gameplay in devil may cry 5 a bit better because of the fact you can change your styles and weapons on the go
👀
I agree with 3 taking the first spot, 5 has the better Gamplay but 3 has more over it
No dmc 4 on the phone? Where is the phone apps for DMC come on i cant be the inly one who played them
13:03 you mean 2..?
I agree with your number 1 choice. My list would be DmC3>DmC1>>>>DmC5>DmC4>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DmC2 I think DmC3 exceeded my expectation so high that it will be hard for Capcom to make another DmC which, not only excels in gameplay but also with the story, character, atmosphere, level design, etc. IMO DmC5 and DmC4, while great on gameplay and even better than DmC3, don't have the compelling story, character, atmosphere, level design that DmC3 had and for that reasons alone DmC3 is my favorite of them all.
Dmc2,Dmc1,Dmc4,Dmc3,Dmc5
When it comes to story dmc3 is better in my opinion but only my first playthrough does the story matter what keeps me playing the game is the gameplay so five is my favorite in terms of gameplay in dmc3 is my favorite in terms of story
Vergil his the hardest boss that I face in the serious
DMC 3, DMC 1, DMC V, DMC 4, DmC:DMC, DMC 2 for me and I played it DMC 1, DMC 3, DMC 4, DmC:DMC, DMC 2 then DMC V
Mr. Pizzatime lol
Well, not everyone knows/understands that DMC2 was remade from Tomb Rider clone into DMC2 we know in 3 months. So for 3 months it's pretty ok game.
Missed Nero???? 3 was my first, 4 second, i was like, WOT THE HELL IS THIS EMO PUNK WHY DO I HAVE TO PLAY AS HIM
I have seen the boss fight With cerberus in Dmc 5 and i was wanndering why don't make a remake of all the dmc games like they did with Resident evil 1 and 2
1 and 2 are the only games that need remakes. 1 for continuity reasons, and 2 for everything about it.

Ryan It’s too much of a black sheep in the series. It needs to be remade so it can actually be acknowledged in the story. The balrog gauntlets in 5 is the only thing ever that even remotely references it.

For me: 1.dmc 3 2.dmc 1 3.dmc 5 4.dmc reboot 5.dmc 4 6.dmc 2
The first one is definitely had that scary and mysterious vibe to it and I give on second place. The second well, it's okay I enjoy playing it even if 98% of the people doesn't enjoy it and of course I would put it on the bottom of the list (not considering ddmc). I love his outfit and the gunpower is so fucking strong. The third in my opinion,is the greatest devil may cry ever made plot wise, gameplay and the music everything about it is good so it's definitely in the first place. The fourth one is very good I would rank it 3rd in my list although it comes to close 2nd but I think I have to give it the 3rd one because to me the storyline is okay but not as good as dmc 3 but the gameplay is better than the 3rd one. But I do agree with him that putting Dante in dmc 4 is pretty out of place but not too out of place. Unfortunately,I'm still on my last gen so I haven't got to play dmc 5 yet maybe in the near future when I have enough money to buy it. But the gameplay from I've seen on youtube is definitely the best out of all dmc but then again I haven't got to play it yet to give much opinion on it therefore I can't really rank it until I play it but it's definitely looks good.
1- DMC 3 2- DMC 5 3- DMC 1 4- DMC 4 5- DMC 6- DMC 2
1-DMC 5 2-DMC 3 3-DMC 1 4-DMC 4 5-DMC 2

Least to favorite 2 4 1 5 3
And DMC devil may cry? :)
Dmc 2 is actually a pretty good third person shooter
Here to ruin the parade DmC and DMC 3 no in-between, and Lucia's Journey, didn't bother with Dante's disc.
I hate that theory that dante is depressed and dmc2 reinforces that idea, the only thing dmc2 reinforces about dante is that hes in the mentor role, hes in the same role for 4 and 5 supports that idea by dante leaving the human world in Neros protection while he goofs off in the demon world
As a girl on my teen years, I decided to play DMC3 cuz Dante was hot asf XD But I stayed on the franchise cuz its just great games.
My favorite DMCS are like this Storywise: 1. DMC5. 2. DMC3. 3. DMC4. 4. DMC1. 5. DMC2. Gameplay wise: 1. DMC4SE. (Playable Vergil). 2. DMC5. (Graphics and fluidity of gameplay). 3. DMC3SE (Playable Vergil). 4. DMC1. 5. DMC2.
If they add Vergil to the 5th one, remember to come back and change it.
