@Taramafor Haikido Interesting analysis, I'm not sure I know as much lore as you do, but I think assuming Dante was depressed isn't much of a stretch. Losing your mom, losing your brother (or thinking so), (and your dad at some point, who tf knows where Sparda went), rejecting one side of what you are, having to find your way in life as an orphaned half-demon kid is probably enough to be depressed (I mean he named his business Devil May Cry haha). I'm not denying Vergil has had his share, or even worse. They've both been through hell and back. Anyways, I was mostly rolling with OP's joke, not expecting a thorough analysis of both characters' psyche, cheers!

Most of these come just as much out of the blue when you have the full context. Dante is given the hat and he suddenly starts dancing. Lady comes in on a motorcycle, doesn't speak or look at Dante, sees him for the first time, thinks he's a human... and shoots a rocket at him for no reason, and then he surfs on it. Agnus is saying his line and Dante suddenly appears and has this theatralic... whatever exactly that was.

As someone who has never played a single second of any Devil May Cry game- actually, as someone who barely knows what Devil May Cry is in the first place, this video is fucking hilarious. Dante? Is it? The Long-Lost Jackson brother? he's my favourite now. Do I know who he is? No, no but I don't need to. Most of these come just as much out of the blue when you have the full context. Dante is given the hat and he suddenly starts dancing. Lady comes in on a motorcycle, doesn't speak or look at Dante, sees him for the first time, thinks he's a human... and shoots a rocket at him for no reason, and then he surfs on it. Agnus is saying his line and Dante suddenly appears and has this theatralic... whatever exactly that was.
Devil may cry is the whole context you need to understand this. Exept for this one 1:43 it's just freaking hilarius without reason.

That's cause kingdom hearts has alot of deep story stuff that you have to understand before watching those cutscene which makes them feel funny without it where as Dmc is just being dumb cause it's fun either way both videos are hilarious and series can be hilarious.

As someone who has never played a single second of any Devil May Cry game- actually, as someone who barely knows what Devil May Cry is in the first place, this video is fucking hilarious. Dante? Is it? The Long-Lost Jackson brother? he's my favourite now. Do I know who he is? No, no but I don't need to.
