You know what have been a better narrative is that Corvo and Emily were separated and that Corvo would stay in Dunwall eliminating Delilah's allies and Emily would go to Karnaka. I'm not saying I hate the game, it was FANTASTIC to play I just wish they had their own narratives to play through. Like two stories in one game. That would have been awesome.

I'm surprised they didn't go the "optional co-op" route.

I thought the same, but it would require them to make AT LEAST 7 more levels while keeping the same amount of polish. They could have reduced the amount of levels each storyline had, but that would mean cutting some fantastic content, so... There's always fanfiction :P
@Axius275 жыл бұрын
I think they should do another where either 1 is on one mission and the next happens canonically at the same time as the other character. Or a multiplayer that would be hilarious.

@@neopath5998 i agree with you, if you ever played Transformers: Fall of cybertron every level was a different character's point of view but in another level you could see the previous character you played as doing something, but you see it as a different character in a different point of view.

I personally really liked how there are nonlethal counterparts to near every lethal option. In the first Dishonored, it was a pain to do low chaos because you could only stealthily choke someone out or use your very limited sleep darts.
@AltairMatiusVT2 жыл бұрын
You can do low chaos and still kill people. High chaos only triggers if you kill basically every NPC you come across.

whos path is more canonical emily or corvo? im guessing emily cuz i think they would shift the story focus on her?
@GutsOfRivia7 жыл бұрын
That's actually a bit difficult. Indeed, the main story is mostly around Emily getting her throne back, while seeing how her subject was suffering under her. But the side plot with the Heart, is definitivley for Corvo, with seeing how he himself has changed. (going to his house, finding out how his mother lived after he was sent away, etc.) So if I am to answer your queation with any conviction, I need to do more research. But now, all I can say that it works for them both

Spoiler: (Stanton mansion). A part in the game that I love so much is the Mansion where we can go to the past / present. I was like "I wonder if one day, they'll really do time travel well, like if I kill/Stunt the dude that will go crazy, He will not be with Delliah and the manor will be fine" I save, and test that, just for fun. THEN BOOOM the manor is fine. I was REAAAALLY impressed, that game is so good.

Secave the Titanfall version of that level was better
@samreddig88197 жыл бұрын
Honestly, that's very arguable. In D2 you could in real time see another time dimension through the heart, changes you do in the past have more impact on the level and game themselves. In TF2 time traveling is faster and somewhat more fluid. Plus you have some cool interactions on the level. But that's it. Personally, I prefer D2 variant, but TF2's variant very cool too.

It was nice seeing sokolov again, and his reactions to seeing Emily and Corvo again in Jindoshes mansion. Also, I played Emily first because I like to try new things, and Corvo after. I personally like playing Emily more story wise because I didn't want Emily to still feel like a little girl waiting to be rescued, and learn more about her. One of the most interesting things was finding out about her affair with Wyman, and her perspective on things. Overall, if your playing Dishonored 2 and wan't to see Corvo again for nostalgia, play him, but if you want to see how she developed as a person, play Emily.

Aside from the narrative nitpicks (Flow of ending resulting from choices), a similar thing I have a problem with is the choppiness of some of the voiced line delivery. If you listen to the outsider or any other character speak, they have this rushed feeling, leaving no pauses between sentences. Even though the lines are well acted, it sounded like they were done by a team trying to finish up within a few minutes. This made the outsider, who I enjoyed listening to in his pondering, thoughtful speech, seem like more of an exposition machine to give Corvo backstory on targets as quickly as possible.

im really hoping for a daud dlc, or even a billie lurk escape dlc, possibly returning to some areas after corvo/emily have passed through. when meagan got her arm back after the player alters time in Stiltons Mansion, she would still assumedly have the outsiders mark that daud 'gave' to her. if the player didnt alter the timeline you might have to play as meagan foster with only a knife and no powers. would be cool, dont think they'll do it, but im hoping for dlc similar to knife of dunwall really

I totally loved Dishonored 2. And i gotta agree with you on your points. The game felt a bit short to me, and if i wasn't going after all runes and bonecharms i would have finished it for the half the time i did originally. And the final mission was indeed kinda underwhelming. I finished it pretty fast, was not detected once, and it just ended pretty quiet and easy, although i didn't manage to use correctly the corrupted rune and i had to kill her. I expected a bit more from the end and just a little longer gameplay maybe. I liked it that i couldn't find any codes online and i had to do everything on my own. Definitely improved the game for me, wasn't too hard. And i agree with a comment bellow would have been awesome to have different lines for Corvo and Emily.

Joseph & Kimberly Woodard can't really put one above the other, they are both fun to play. I will say that I was a bit let down by Emily's shadow form, as it pretty much only give you two stealth abilities, and no combat capabilities, plus would've been dope to have some special animation kills on the targets with the shadow form. But if I had to choose one, I'd say Corvo's powers, so much fun to play with the time ability

I thought the same, but it would require them to make AT LEAST 7 more levels while keeping the same amount of polish. They could have reduced the amount of levels each storyline had, but that would mean cutting some fantastic content, so... There's always fanfiction :P
Do you think you'll get your own squad after what happened last night?
Indeed, I believe so.
Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight?
Never doubt it.
I heard you got eaten alive at cards last night.
Shut up!
Hey King, should we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight?
Indeed, I believe so
How old did you say your sister was?
Never doubt it.
Never Daud it.
HA
Please do In the Mind of: Emily Kaldwin !!!!!!
Frisbee Launch that would be much harder, as there is less source material to work with.
8:32 did he just mouth out "Damn you Daud"? xD
CN_Central yup
I thought it was “Emily Kaldwin”
Indeed I believe so
Chances are very good.
lighting a cigar with a lighter how 2nd class.
I've been more of the "Whiskey and Cigars" on-the-go. Therefore I need to focus on efficiency, rather than quality sadly
King J. Grim and I'm more of a 35 cans of cheap beer after the work week wearing my traditional jeans and sweater with a few burn marks on it hahaha.
leon bushnell yeah the jet lighter is pretty awesome. hey man I've been there used one of my stoves elements to light a cigar before but hey at least I had a cigar that makes it kind of classy right?
***** Let's all agree that using a campfire is on a league of its own
leon bushnell hahaha hipsters I forgot about them.
Attention citizens and visitors to our city. By order of the regent, all dishonoured reviews has been prohibited unless accompanied by a member of the watch. Also, a KZhead wide ban of all whiskey and cigars except for Dunwall brand whiskey and Dunwall cigars is now in effect.
How dare they
"Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight?"
"Never doubt it."
"Chances are good"
"Indeed, I believe so."
''You always amuse me''
"Another night, another patrol with you."
I personally really liked how there are nonlethal counterparts to near every lethal option. In the first Dishonored, it was a pain to do low chaos because you could only stealthily choke someone out or use your very limited sleep darts.
You can do low chaos and still kill people. High chaos only triggers if you kill basically every NPC you come across.
whos path is more canonical emily or corvo? im guessing emily cuz i think they would shift the story focus on her?
That's actually a bit difficult. Indeed, the main story is mostly around Emily getting her throne back, while seeing how her subject was suffering under her. But the side plot with the Heart, is definitivley for Corvo, with seeing how he himself has changed. (going to his house, finding out how his mother lived after he was sent away, etc.) So if I am to answer your queation with any conviction, I need to do more research. But now, all I can say that it works for them both
King J. Grim im looking forward to see what you will find
King J. Grim wait you can visit corvos old house? WHERE?!?!
The Bear From Mars The dust district I think the area was called. On the left side of the overseer's HQ.
In DotO, it's confirmed in a note you find on the Dreadful Wale that it was, in fact, Emily on the boat.
Aramis stilton can be brought aboard your ship and saved from insanity if you just knock him out before letting him see the seancd

"It's a whole new world!" - Alahdeen
A whole fucking new Universe. As a one wise man once said "The interesting shit is always between the lines". Think that's about you
Spoiler: (Stanton mansion).
Yeah, that mission was pretty amazing. Yet strangely, my favorite mission is the last one. Feel like they nailed the atmosphere
Secave the Titanfall version of that level was better
Honestly, that's very arguable. In D2 you could in real time see another time dimension through the heart, changes you do in the past have more impact on the level and game themselves. In TF2 time traveling is faster and somewhat more fluid. Plus you have some cool interactions on the level. But that's it. Personally, I prefer D2 variant, but TF2's variant very cool too.
@@samreddig8819 iam not gonna play titan fall where the only thing you care about is the robot and then zone out of anything story related
@@sadsworth4605 I do believe you're missing the point of the story then.
Drunken whaler is so creepy and I love it
Reviewing Dishonored with whiskey and cigars… I agree.
"How old did you say your sister was again?"
you sir, have so much potential. keep up the good work!
"With great potential, comes great subscribers" - Uncle Ben
+King J. Grim lol
New game + IS a dream come true! Just finished a playthrough with every single Emily & Corvo power. What a blast. 10/10 highly recommend.
it's so obivious that you take the making of your vids very seriously. very creative and funny. the fact that u do it in a foreign language to you is very admirable. keep it up buddy
Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight? Indeed I believe so.
"DAMN YOU DAUD!!"
Yes... damn him...
The first 30 seconds already deserve the like, classy as fuck!
Damn it, a whole 30 seconds? I need to improve!
:D I watched the rest as well, rest assured. Great review.
The intro Shall we gather for whisky and cigars tonight?
I love imaging the thought process for the opening of this video. "Properly lighting cigars takes too long to make for an interesting shot... I'll just barely scorch it, most people won't tell the difference!" Incredible.
Certain decisions one has to make during filming, for better or worse.
Interview came out today that said there should be a major patch for PC this coming month, in addition to New Game + and "customizable difficulty". So don't lose faith on the PC version just yet :)
I would never lose faith in this game. But I am losing time to spend with it D:
Loved this video as well. The effort is overwhelming. I subscribed, and liked, I really enjoy these Dishonored videos. Great videos and fantastic channel truly. It has actually been a while since I have discovered such a good channel. So chill, its like sitting down and having a chat with a friend. Wonderful.
Hurrah! Dishonored has to be one of my favorite games in the past decade. I wonder if there's any new content based on if you have a Dishonored save file. That sht wld be epic.
that would be amazing
I see what you did their in the intro with the whiskey and cigars nice reference to dishonored 1.
OMG! NICE VID Man👏👏👏 i loved the begining you were more like Jindosh! lol
Just found you out through the Doom and Dishonored videos and wow, we have the exact same doubts on what makes Dishonored so great, nice video and cheers from Brazil.
We should discuss this game over cigars and whiskey.
I love the Amount of Effort you put in making this Amazing review. did they say that they going to fix the frame rate on PC for this game?
There are patches that they're adding. So that is really good.
Ah yes Boot Messiah of Kicks and Falling
CLASSY AS FU- *music*
Daud.....CLASSY AS F- *music plays*
....
._.
Daud Death of the Outsider ruined your character
How did it, exactly?
And again, another great video :) Guess, I should start feeling classy AF from now onwards xD
It truly does change your life
I so classy AF that I kill my enemies with whiskey and cigars. I'm so good in fact I heard I might get my own sqaud, but I hear that might not happen because of someone named Daud DAMN YOU DAUD!!!
Hey, do you think you'll do a in the mind of Emily Kaldwin? I always wanted to see that. Also are you going to do a review on death of the outsider?
HECKIE a review that didn't cry about the outsider's new voice (i personally love it) or that the lore was a little "cliche" thank you for putting so much time and effort into this, subbed !
Glad you enjoyed!
You seriously deserve so much more appreciate for the effort you put into this, awesome video man, unlike most reviews this actually has a humour to it and I actually found myself laughing at parts, I know how much time it can take to make these videos but I seriously can't wait to see what more you have to make, keep up the good work man!
Considering that you have literally "Literally" in your name; your comment truly makes me happy. KZhead is a place where everyone makes their own content, yet try to compete and copy works of those above them, so when hearing that some enjoys the work of the creator, it truly means a lot. ...that was the serious part, THANKS FOR WATCHING!
12:06 I like that optimistic and reassuring finger wag idk why
Aside from the narrative nitpicks (Flow of ending resulting from choices), a similar thing I have a problem with is the choppiness of some of the voiced line delivery. If you listen to the outsider or any other character speak, they have this rushed feeling, leaving no pauses between sentences. Even though the lines are well acted, it sounded like they were done by a team trying to finish up within a few minutes. This made the outsider, who I enjoyed listening to in his pondering, thoughtful speech, seem like more of an exposition machine to give Corvo backstory on targets as quickly as possible.
Trust me the story that build up the character corvo is one the greatest story of gaming history without a doubt. I loved the game since i was in highschool. Still when i see the gameplay it gives me the same chilly feeling.love u corvo.
Dat intro do... classy as fu-
I would watch and re-watch a "in the mind of Daud" video. I beg.
i love ur videos man, why do you only have 8k subs, u desserve alot more
Because KZhead care more about quantity over quality. And my quality is dah shit
love the whisky and cigars reference. I'm glad to see another dishonored fan like myself. I've played the first dishonored 100+ times and im about to start my 2nd d2 run after beating it in 2 days. my favourite part was the teasing to dlc at the end. great video sir. we should gather for whisky and cigars sometime:)
N/A indeed, I believe so!
Subbed from the opening alone
Are you seriously having whiskey and cigars tonight without us?
Oh hey look, He's already Smoking Cigars and Drinking whiskey. But he's alone.
You deserve a LOT more subscribers. Before looking at your Sub count I thought it was like 1 mil+ or something.
im really hoping for a daud dlc, or even a billie lurk escape dlc, possibly returning to some areas after corvo/emily have passed through. when meagan got her arm back after the player alters time in Stiltons Mansion, she would still assumedly have the outsiders mark that daud 'gave' to her. if the player didnt alter the timeline you might have to play as meagan foster with only a knife and no powers. would be cool, dont think they'll do it, but im hoping for dlc similar to knife of dunwall really
Bro your prediction came true
he really gathered for whiskey and Cigars
Damn man, you're looking classy as F***!
As much as I hate to say it, with whiskey; anyone can be classy as F**k
Cheers to everyone being classy because of whiskey!
bethesda: you don't need pre-review copies, you can trust us
I really enjoy your videos! You deserve ALOT more subscribers... I loved Dishonored 2 as much as you did, amazing game! Keep up the good work on your videos, and I hope to see more in the future!
You will definitivly see more soon!
8:30 Damn you Daud?
I just started watching your channel keep up the good vids!
Jackson engdahk you keep watching, I'll keep making!
King J. Grim Yes please!
for a second at the end of the vid i thought that the sky was all ominus burning red. It wasnt. i hope..
Dishonored 2 is son underrated, damn you Daud
The gameplay in the dishonored games is absolutely addicting
I would have liked the ending to have more details on side characters
3:50 Holy shit how did you get that animation? That's badass.
i wonder why don't u have more subscribers. ur videos are so interesting and funny!
I guess he already gathered for whiskey and cigars.
New subscriber here!! Thank you for looking past any PC version issues others are still dwelling on or that made many skip this genius game.
Huh? I get how it sucks you can't see the chaos of your actions on the districts you have been through via going back to them but i think that them not wasting an entire level on the same area as you have already been to is much more beneficial. But if it's personal i guess i can't argue that
could've used the same area but expanded it and added a new element and different location of target, like the Distillery District
Arkane used the same method in Prey's ending ("this person and then this person and then..." etc) for better or worse. I've put hundreds of hours into Dishonored 2 and Prey and while I love them both immensely, I'm just not sure why they've decided that this approach is the way to end such outstanding (imo) games.
Martha won't you marry me, twelve weeks have I been at sea, dancing hagfish at the brine
It would be sick if they made a third game, Where you have a squad of the outsiders people. The ones who have powers, And you have to stop another group of people with powers. And the whole world depends on it.
I subscribed just because of that ending.
Will we gather for whiskeys and cigars TONIGHT?
Dude you make the best videos. Also nice review convinced me to take a look at it and i will most likely get it when it is on sale
Thank you. And yes, highly recommend it if you enjoy stealth games
Oh dear, he's gathering people for whiskey and cigars!
Do IN mind of DAUD!
but the real question is are the characters*corvo and emily in their own stories) in this game as good as dauds development through the low chaos route of dishonored 1? daud just left such a huge impression on me that after playing the dlcs that i loved him more than the blank self-insert slate corvo was in 1.
They do have their journey to become better people, definitivly Corvo, who has to make one of the toughest decisions ever in one of the later missions. Made my heart twist and turn
King J. Grim glad to hear it. looking forward to playing the game soon
Hey, i hope i am not late. The game has a different chaos scale from the first game. Depending who you kill, rather than how much you killed. Which is adding way more importancy to the Heart. (btw, love your videos. Keep up the good work!)
After watching 2 of your other videos and loving them, your intro here finally made me subscribe. That's some gold! Edit: Also, why do you use out-of-10 rating system for games? It's pretty arbitrary either way, so wouldn't it be better to adobt some other, more informative rating system or just focus on recommendation?
Let's go for platinum in the future!
King J. Grim Depends on the rating system you prefer :P Speaking of which, I edited my comment just before you responded. Any comments on that rating-related stuff?
Fabelaz Nyan it would be nice with something more original than the the regular #/10 system. But I'll see if I can figure something out on that front
you have a striking resembelance to Finn Wittrock
the lack of supporting casts make sense, since corvo and emily are super paranoid at this point.
It’s been 4 years and we still don’t have an fov option for console :(
The Meme of DAMN YOU DAUD! never gets older
You dare call my despair a meme?!
Always while you make it funny but at the same time sad :( DAMN YOU DAUD! D: !! :(
the only mechanical gripe i have with d2 is the fucking leaning mechanic and oddly enough i have never had too many issues with the pc port (especially after the patches) the new powers and mechanics i fucking adore soooo much with them all culminating together in new game plus where you can use emily's op gear and corvo's extremely op time powers.
Really hope that we'll get a in the mind of Emily kaldwin video from you king. J. Grim.
Oh I see.. Whiskey and cigars
I lost my shit when he said "but oh my gah"
When a find you is going to be BAD
Wow man i recently found your channel, i really love it. I'm in love with dishonored and dishonored 2 and finished both 6 and 4 times respectively. I was wondering what side quest you kept referring to? The one that continued the first game?
Hi there, glad you enjoy my content! Not really a quest, but I was talking about the heart.
King J. Grim Oh, yeah i really enjoyed that as well. Keep up the good work, would love to see you keep growing!
Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight?
You wanna gamble on the hounds again
I assume we'll be gathering for Whiskey and Cigars tonight?
+King J. Grim What was the side plot that was so fascinating for you ? I played through the game twice now and i noticed a ton of easter eggs and shit, but i cant pinpoint what you were meaning with that subplot. But great review anyway. I hope they use some of the places in the dlcs also, so that this you dont see the change problem is a little bit better.
you know you sound like kilian experience a lot. just pointing out, makes your reviews sound more humorous
Searched him up, was not dissapointed. And therefore: Thank you!
huh,im happy you take it as a compliment. Although dont rely on my comment much,im sick today and sligtly delirious
King J. Grim I always thought he sounded more like 40k theories.
Who's power set did you prefer? I found them more viable to specific chaos goals. High chaos was WAY more fun with Corvo, while Emily is a better fit for being a sneaky Pete.
King J. Grim yup. The Rat Swarm is loads of fun as well.
Haven't really used the swarm that much, don't really know how to use it in the entertaining spectrum of the gameplay department. Everytime I use it, it just feels so OP.
Should we gather for Whiskey and Cigars tonight?
so should we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight?
holy shit they gather for wisky and cigars that nigth
fuckin LOVE the main menu music
