If you examine Hypatia's equipment in her office in High Chaos she says "I would love to brew something that will burn Delilah's tongue and throat..." Or if you examine Hamilton's equipment at the top she says "What I wouldn't give to hear Delilah's skull popping in this thing." There are lots of other creepy examples. You'll just have to play and see it for yourself.

And in the dlc (as daud) you incorporate the same morality (since you're the same player) by sparing people''s lives and using harmless eliminations. Hence Billie called you "soft". It's so amazing that developers thought this through.

  • This was fucking awesome, I always thought that low chaos play through completely non-lethal didn't make any sense, everyone always tells me that are non-lethal low chaos playthrough is the canonical way to play the game, but I find it really hard to believe that Corvo could do every single thing he did without taking a life, it always bothered me immensely that he killed people in the comic books, and a lot of the dialogue in the game's reference him killing, but this feels right, your evidence backing everything up, ending the game and low chaos but still having blood on your hands, that's Dishonored.

    • I don’t know, i like non lethal better if i’m being honest. It just makes him more badass as someone who took down his foes without even killing them. Killing guards certainly doesn’t seem right to me, considering they’re just as fooled as the public so it wouldn’t make any sense. Killing key targets like lady boyle or pendletons seem like Corvo’s style.

    • I feel like the canon is Corvo did kill some people just not many and all the main targets were eliminated non lethally. You can gather that by future canon media. Like since Corvo and Slackjaw became friends that likely means in DH Corvo did the non lethal elimination of the Pendletons, the ex High Overseer is also confirmed to still be alive in exile in the future meaning the Heretics Brand elimination for him is also canon, Lady Boyle is the only one that's never confirmed either way, as The Lord Regents non lethal is also confirmed due to the fact Hiram Barrows being responsible for the plague is something the common people know, so it means that the announcements were made about him and he got arrested. Then Daud is also still alive too, since he then has his own novels. So it's safe to assume none of the main targets in the first game were killed by Corvo. Though I think he likely did still kill some people in the first game, just obviously the under 20% needed for low chaos.

It was poor of me to use that line, but the main reason for why it is there in the first place, is to show that Corvo is more aggressive than his daughter, when it comes to their way of thinking. • In the DLC intro, Daud says this. "A mad killer roams the streets by night, seeking revenge" The House of Pleasure mission where Corvo apparently murdered people takes place at daytime. Havelock's notes say that he killed people in that mission though, so you're not wrong. But the thing Daud said leads me to believe that Corvo wasn't a maniac for only one mission. He could have also killed a lot of people in "High Overseer Chambell" but decided that the Heretics brand is worse than death, which is why he didn't kill Chambell.

    • Many of the stages are at night time, so there is that. Plus, in D2, we do know that Corvo did gt medium chaos, as the picture Emily draws shows this. Though I doubt Corvo killed anyone during the Campbell mission, as I have a feeling of if he did, the overseers would probably understand that he was branded, and then use that as am n excuse to keep Thaddeus in the High Overseer position

      @KingJGrim@KingJGrim7 жыл бұрын
    • King J. Grim Good point. Now that I think about it, it does make more sense if Chambell is cast out with Corvo going stealth in that mission. Because people would assume that he may have branded the High Overseer. Thx

  • Why did Corvo spare Daud when he heard Jessemine say that she didn't forgive him? Isn't that kinda going against her wishes?

    @ethanmathoo2117@ethanmathoo21177 жыл бұрын
    • no she just clearly hates him and wonders why he would bring her here because he would know her opinion, she doesn't wish for him to die she just states that corvo should do whatever he came here to do (sparing or killing him would be up to corvo) she doesn't want to be a influence in the decision because she is inherently bias

    • I found the moments when he gave in to his impulses and massacred an unknown number of people, but in the end spared Daud's life, right on the brink of satisfying his desire for revenge but stopping at the last moment, and letting the assassin live to be the most... interesting.

  • Wait wait wait wait wait. 'Eliminate' doesn't necessarily mean kill and just because Corvo doesn't outright say he wants to do it in a non-lethal way doesn't mean he wants to kill people. As for the admiral's wording, he specifically says that Corvo handled the Pendletons with skill, as he knows that when a fight breaks out in a brothel, it goes badly. To me, this means he knows that fighting in a brothel is bad and thus commends Corvo on not doing it, as in being stealthy.

    @darklord884@darklord8847 жыл бұрын
    • Yeah, it was poor of me to use the "Kill him?" sentence after that, I wrote my explanation in the subs. As for the Havelock thing, I still believe that he meant that Corvo did indeed fight the guards in the brothel, and there is the Admiral's log as well, stating that Corvo does indeed kill Watchmen

      @KingJGrim@KingJGrim7 жыл бұрын
    • +King J. Grim Oh, alright, I didn't see that, apologies. While I disagree on Havelock's wording on the Golden Cat, I agree with most of the other things you say about Corvo, like the journal suggesting he kills guards and such, though one more thing to note that he is branded a menace of Dunwall by the lord regent, so you can easily take that as an attempt to smear his name, but otherwise, the video is quite good. I'l be looking forward to watching more of these in the future. Kudos.
