I like this better than the rival 650 because when i throw this at the wall it stops
I use my rival 600 like a road hog hook
Well that's that ruined
😂😂
True
Consider its Wired that might help
Let's just be honest. The only reason he does these mice reviews is to show off his CS GO skills.
what skills?
It's just because SS paid him.
"Skills" lmao
What skills!?...If you notice he’s always playing against idiots that are walking around the map clueless.
He was decent compared to all the other tech tubers, looks like he could be mge/dmg/B+ maybe even higher if his game sense and map knowledge are decent. Based purely on aim and knowing when to tap and having decent flicks/recoil control he didn't look like a complete noob.
"I lift my mouse quite a lot" was this a Flusha joke?
I noticed he didn't adjust the lift off settings
Just bought it, (two weeks) after taking into acount, yours and many other reviews. So far very happy with it, it has improved my gaming. Just for the record, before i used the razer mamba tournament edition for 18 months
It's the only gaming mouse realeased in 2018 that's why it's the best
its being compared to 2017 mice, though calling it best of the year is misleading
It is possible that this review was shot in 2017 and just uploaded now. In one of his CES videos he said he has had this mouse for a few weeks.
Caleb dude, the mouse was released this year... doesnt matter at which date he got it, its a 2018 mice.
Caleb he got it in advance yes, but that was way before official announcement or release, just so he could review it early. Doesn't make it a 2017 mouse
This or Viper Razer?
The design of the mouse is really interesting for me! I like how they changed it up a bit instead of making it too similar to their other rival mice. And also, while I personally don't use lift off distance customization that much on the mice that I have tested, their implementation of having a separate sensor is innovative in my book. Definitely want to try this out and possibly review it too!
Love this new setup of the intro in the first minute!
_Best Gaming Mouse of 2018?_ *10 days into 2018.*
Kadomex xD
Lubbock :o
Kadomex that’s why e has the question mark
That's why the question mark, fucking moron.
?
2:59 That RGB on the keyboard in the background looks so DOPE
In that case, looks like you have never seen RGB in your life before.
Best mouse of the year, year started less than 2 weeks ago
I mean so far it is...
Jack Moseley no
You could put "so far" in the thumbnail/title no problem, so why no do it? Care to iluminate my clouded mind please?
That's why the question mark, fucking moron.
I like the way you film your videos. Really interesting to watch.
Great review! It nicely complements with RJNs review. And yeah, its too much pushed out, like you said in the end.
3:16 is no one going to talk about his buffed middle finger
Was about to comment the same
Sure, is just janurary 2018 and it is the best mouse of the year.
These "tech reviewers" are getting dumber and dumber.
So far, it is, since it's the first review ;)
datt clickbait
Well it is a question since there is a question mark he isn't stating it as a fact. But we will see more mouses coming out this year.
Did you see the "?" ?
Still lovin' my Rival 300
I'm still in love with my Logitech G502 Proteus, best mouse i've ever had... I love the weighted feature and a big logitech fan-boy... but i might check this out as a back up mouse.
I can recommend this one. I think it will suit a lot of people having hard time finding a mice that fits their weird/hybrid grips. Really great mouse!
Hey, I’ve had mine for A couple of years now, and it’s held up really well. The side grips have not fallen off, it works like it’s brand new. Do they last a long time? How has yours been?
Awesome mouse!
i use the lift off height adjustment on my corsair m65 pro quite a bit cause I have two spots I sit to game/watch youtube or browse the internet. I dont always have a perfectly smooth surface for the mouse to move on so Ill turn it up or down depending on how much I end up having to lift it. Also being able to add or remove weights is awesome lol I loved that. i had never bad a mouse that did that before i got the m65 so it was like a luxury thing for me.
Thanks for the review.
People dont understand that theres no no.1 mouse in the world. Everyone will prefer different mice because of their shape
lol not just about shape, there are many factor which mnake a mouse the best in its category
PaddyDoesTech as rocket jump ninja says in his top 20 gaming mice video, any of them could be the perfect one for you. Theres no need for this "no. 1 mice!!! Hype hype hype lolololol" crap.
Oh yeah, but all gaming mice have good sensors anyway. (apart from laser ones) Buttons dont have much of an impact except for the amount of buttons and their placement for MOBAs
RJN is exactly where im coming from
Yes there is a number one mouse in the world XD. What most people like and prefer is the number one mouse in the world. What do you not get?
4:05 his keyboard looks like a makeup pallette
C 3PO omg I just realized
He’s gaey
Looks like a worthy mouse. I'm quite happy with my Rival 300 for now though, but from this I'm now interested in checking out both the 600 and the 310 :P Great review!
I just got a Logitech G703 yesterday, I think it's great IMO. The jump from wired to wireless is SO MUCH greater than I expected.
I have a razer mamba tournament edition and I’ve had it for around 3-4 years and it’s time for a new mouse but I don’t know what to get. I wouldn’t really like to get the same mouse just to experiment with others but I’m stuck on three. The rival 600, finalmouse sunset, and the Logitech 502. For the rival 600 the farthest button does not work and that’s part of the reason I want it because I prefer multiple buttons but I did like the feel I have never felt the finalmouse but I feel I would like a really light nice but it only has two buttons The 502 has lots of buttons which I like but I feel some of them and unnecessary which I might not like
i came 5 months later but i do recommend to get the 600 instead of the 502, the 502 is too heavy and feels weird to me
I am very late lol but if you still didnt get a mouse get the logitech g903
you left out the most important thing in the mice review... what are the physical dimensions of both mice... (?) and will it be comfortable for small/medium/ or large hands (??)
I´ve been looking for a new gaming mouse.. And for me the fingertip grip is very important, and the Rival 600 is doing an absolutely amazing job! I will not regret this buy...
How does the weight and balance differ from the rival 300? I have been using it for a while and I was considering upgrading to the rival 310 or the 600.
Never had an issue with my £5 mouse from asda
After going from the g502 to the g903 within the past 5 years I've tried steelseries and corsair mice and nothing compares to Logitech especially the g903 and it's flawless wireless. Unless something better comes along and is wireless I'm good where I'm at. Mouse cables never bothered me until they were gone and now I would never go back
Hey, how has yours held up?
interesting! I was contacting the support for adding a lift off distance option for my rival 310 ;) Now the Rival 600 is perfect
did you had any issues with dubbelclicking or the rubber wearing of on the rival 310? would you still recommend it end 2021?
Can you write what mouse cable holder you use there? Thanks!
Duje Lalin It's the Zowie Camade
and they are called mouse bungies
review of this video: 10/10 he looks like chris pratt
This video is perfectly timed. Looking for a nice gaming mouse
about the dpi issue, can't you set profiles for it will be set to 1 dpi or no? i know with logitech you can do that
For mice I will only believe in Rocket Jump Ninja review.
I mean it made it into his top 10
it was number 1 on his top 10, did you even watch the review?
hey, it's in the top 10.
EXACTLY OMG
yeah i believe in him too. but this mouse rival 600 is not worth the price and long term usage. bad mouse anyway.
Super Happy with my Rival 310. Sensor is noticeably better than my previous mouse; Deathadder 2013
Ronald Alexander but the 310 ist lo lightweight the 300 was 130g and it was even to lightweight but still OK 310 is 92g this is to low
Im used to it now. Cant think of going back to Deathadder now. maybe a Zowie EC1/2-B in the near future
I like that it is slightly larger and also the modularity is awesome to see. Sadly the ergonomics does not look good enough for me to jump to it form the 310. The ergonomics on the 310 drive me nuts because if I don't grip it perfectly, my hand just begs my body to chop it off. I still use the 310 but only for R6Siege and CSGO where I need to rely on the better grip the feet have over any other brand I've tried so far. It's so close to perfection, but still far from it. Also they need to focus on their software. Having my desktop sensitivity determined by just the dpi is a pain. Look at Corsair's CUE software and their "pointer speed" setting. Doesn't add acceleration, purely a sensitivity adjustment which makes anything above 1000 dpi possible on a 1920x1080 monitor.
can you do a video about the asus cerberus??
"mouse helps me with my precise aim" *aims using strafe*
Newbie do you know what strafe is?
Dlones strafing isnt a way to aim. Its a way to not get shot.
"strafing isn't a way to strafe." ROFL
Bleaching Myself HAHAHA lol i edited it now
MartMart do you? You can aim with strafe, if the enemy is beside your crosshair, just strafe to him. Prefiring uses strafing aswell.
Thoughtful design but I can't stand the look of it. They had it right with the look of the sensei imo.
hiii
We in the sniper community like this mouse
9Lives it's not like u look at the mouse when playing ;-;
i've got the 310 rival, I think its the best mouse for its price, best mouse sensor, best build quality. Honestly its a fucking steal.
I actually agree. I have the 700 now, but sensei feels better to hold.
does the drivers let you use seperate x and y sensitivity settings? logitech used to have that option but they got rid of it
i see that you are using fingertip grip if i'm not mistaken, me too. So can you suggest best mouse for this type of grip with extra side button that is easy reachable by thumb or other finger. currently using armaggeddon alien G9x. also i'm a MOBA player.
Rocket jump ninja is the best mouse reviewer. Seriously. No one reviews mice better on KZhead.
Edmund Pope He is my go to Mouse guy. Best mouse reviewer on KZhead
Hands down!!!! Without question
Hmmm. I game on PC but I still use an Xbox Elite Controller...Does that make me a peasant?
MGTEKNS yes, use a mouse. Only thing i use a controller for is rocket league.
no, everyone has different preferences
I love that controller :)
MGTEKNS no. It does not mean a peasant because the elite controller is expensive :D
MGTEKNS it'll most likely give you a disadvantage in FPS games
i wanna know how is the mouse wheel resistance? is it sturdy enough or is it very agile to move back and forth?
Great review
U are from gurdians of the galaxy.
ahahahah, so im not the only one
Buy me
So my only one question does it really use a removable cable? Or it uses a receiver to plug in to your pc and you can also use it as wired?
rocking Logitech G402 for last 4 years - replaced all the switches (soldering them on) and super happy! Say no to throwing out mice if your buttons die!
if no one stops me i am buying this mouse you have one week do your worst
Mark Lulati I just bought it
fuck
@fuck fuck
I got it for christmas
@fuck fuck
It's January 10th? Best mouse of the year? Not a very well thought out clickbait title this time. LOL
Crocnoc it has a ? at the end
DanielDOESgaming it's implying that it could be or is the best of the year. Maybe it's a joke in this circumstance, but they do it way too frequently
He should not even use that sentence before end of 2018 lol. "?" or not.
Best review video I've seen, with the ninjarocket either..
i miss you bro!
Wow, a tech tuber who doesn't play cs:go like a silver for once, a rare sight. Looks like dimitry has actually played cs go and taken it somewhat seriously before.
I've never played professionally, but it has been a point of practice for mice videos :)
Walmart Chris Pratt
Just got the mouse. It feels okay and Steelseries has a pretty good software, so I can't complain there. My only gripe, however, is that one of the side buttons is a bit far off? Maybe my hand just sits lower on the mouse, but I have to actively extend by thumb outwards and up to press it, as opposed to the G503 I used where the button (it was the DPI key remapped to be something else) sat comfortably underneath my thumb.
Soooo... 2020, should i go for the Rival 600, or the G502 Hero ? I'm really lost atm... Help me ! I feel like I'm mid way between claw et palm grip, and my current mouse is a CM from Master Lite L combo (under 100g). I love both designs even though I would say I have a little preference for the Rival 600 since I like when it's sober. I play FPS, MOBAs and WoW. If anyone sees that and has an idea of what I would prefer, thank you for telling me !
Non braided = Awesome (WHAT?!)
Most gamers doesnt like braided cable for competetive gaming. It sucks to aim and panning slowly, and heavy too. Its function over aesthetics. Nobody ever really broke a mouse cable so braided cable is kinda pointless. Just a prettier cable that comes with a downside. Its also one of the reason why g403, despite being the best in everything, is still a letdown. Competetive gamers would rather buy g303 even the price is jacked 300% from msrp.
Oh I am early let me think 🤔 of a joke Oh yeah internet explorer
Can you set the macro-button so its work like sniper-button(immeadiatly change the dpi when you press it and then back to normal dpi when you release it) ? pls answer
Dimitri, you forgot to mention it have RGB so this mice is even more dam good :) and im know considering to upgrade to this one, thats all because your very precisely examinations about products
can i have a question, please ? Spoiler : the question is what is your hand size in cm ??? Disclaimer : no, i do not know the way
Ugandan Knuckles but have you found de wae now ?
Normies reeeeeee
vetjoh person who forgot to check when the comment was made reeeee
G0OFY names change u know that right so he still to this day has that as his name and pf
vetjoh this could be a throw away account
i stick to my g502
Nermal same, I'm still lovin' that Proteus core blue
Loved some of its features... but it's just too heavy for me and I really dislike Logitech's balencing with the G502
CHIA-HAO CHOU dumb question, but did you take the weights out? Lol
D weights comes with a separate container. There are no weights in the mouse when you unbox. I did put one weights on just to make the mouse balanced.
hi im new here and i would like to ask if you would tell what that mouse port thingy you have here? 1:41 cause i want to save and buy one myself
I love the camera it's amazing
You can tell if it's a payed review from the title. If it contains "The best" is 100% paid.
No. Its literally good
Do you watch rocket jump ninja videos?
If it's a paid review you have to say that in the video.
no you dont lol
You literally have to disclose if there's paid promotion involved. Otherwise there will be legal consequences.
So it beats my G703?? Nopes 😂
Shuvojit So it beats my g903? **NOPE**
Megaforce 😂 hey I got the small bro u got the big one
RJN just ranked this over the G403 wired which held the top spot since its release. Issue with G403/703 are the batteries increasing the weight for FPS games requiring less weight. Hopefully Logitech responds to Razer's new wireless solution. After all, they can forever say they were first to introduce wireless charging mice, so nobody will flame them for copying anything
SLiX :-/ It's just pulling out the battery and putting necessary capacitors inside it.. Nothing freaking engineering challenge for a fucking company who actually made this wireless shit in mouse happen.
SLiX And think practical whose mouse makes the best sense taking everything in mind from practicalness to your gaming usability... I would rather have weight than losse practicality..! I can't use the same fucking mouse when I go to my college? Any suggestion now mate expect carrying other mouse, carrying the freaking mouse mat and using the inbuilt track pad?
I love my rival 310. Purchased a logitech g502 because I wanted more buttons, but returned it right away. I might rook into the rival 600/650 soon though!
I use a corsair M65 pro just for the reason that it fits my hand perfectly, but the left side buttons are starting to wear out and I was thinking about getting a new mouse.
Logitech > else
g402 with rgb will look similar perhaps
Logitech wireless*
Being a fanboy is never good. Makes you blind to actually good products from competition. :P
not a fanboy, just has eyes
Elfein - the problem is no other mouse has free scrolling wheel option, so that's what makes Logitech the best right now.
How does the clicking on it feel? Is it easy ti click or is it harder and mushy
Love the look
3:53 . "Muted audible actuation". That was the reason that I bought this mouse. Sounds much better than most other mice, others have a high pitch plasticky sound.
got one, and I love it
So a full palm grip is welcomed with this mouse? I'm used to a Logitech g600 and corsair scimitar.
Solid content!
im using a Rival 700 for over a Year now and its fantastic imo ofc and as I first heard that Steel series is going 2 launch a new mouse I was super hyped but imo a new top tear mouse needs 2 be wireless with a nice doc. or with one of these wireless charging mousepads (but in that would have 2 be available in several sizes like the SteelSeries QcK wich is available in ''normal'' up 2 XXL) that would be perfect (ofc that's just what I pers. think)
I got used to tilt wheel mice, I use it to adjust the volume but finding new mice is hard, most brands only add the tilt wheel to their top of the line expensive mice
whats the keyboard in the background at 2:17?
whilst using the 600 for myself, i agree with everything except for the cpi adjust button that i found perfectly fine.
Why is a non-braided cable awesome? Makes it lighter?
Just picked up a 310 a few weeks ago to replace my beaten up 300 after a rough year with it and I don't have FOMO with the 600. It looks to be a really nice mouse, but I'm extremely happy with the 310 and unless you need adjustable weight or the lift off sensor, save the $20 and get a 310 instead.
Just got the Rival 600 today. I have to say, I'm very pleased. In the past, I got a Rival 300. That one had an aweful bug, which made the cursor jump randomly, getting worse and worse over time. As an RMA, I got the awesome Rival 310. Yet, I disliked its rubber side. It felt oily just after a few months, but I got along with it. Unfortunately, it developed a hardware or firmware issue, where the mouse started to do not register actions like clicks or scrolls. But whenever I clicked/scrolled one more time, the click/scroll was registered twice. Like it has been buffered. So I RMAed the Rival 310 and got myself a Rival 600. Now, after my first day of gaming with it I have to say, that I like it very much. It feels solid and very precise. The liftof wasn't such an issue for me, but I anyway tweaked it to be optimal with my hard plastic mousepad (Razer Destructor 2). I also can agree, that it makes a diffrent sound on the mousepad than e.g. the Rival 300 (I still got the broken Rival 300 around since steelseries didn't want it to be sent back). But it could be wear of the teflon pads. Anyway, I'm happy! Good company, good mouse, good design and also a way prettier grip. If I were judging the grip, it would be Rival 600, Rival 300, Rival 310.
Gees If you had so much trouble why did you buy three of them? Sounds like bullshit to me...
Interesting! How has yours held up? I’ve had mine for about two years or so, and it’s been good to me. Thanks!
Can u help me with buying mice please should i buy this or logitech g502 hero or old g502 or g403 or g203 i play a lot of fps games (like rainbow six siege ) i will so thankful if you answer me thanks!
Havent pushed to much, just added lift off sensor as you wanted badly. Also usb unplugs from mouse, perfect for travelling , and not damaging the wire :) WIN WIN
how did you test true 1 to 1 tracking over the entire range?
Hi, I have to do my pc starting from 0 and I found that this Steelseries 600 or razer mamba elite can be my choice (I initially thought even of logitech g503 but I tried it and has some cheap feeling that I don't like). Which one of the two can you say it's better? Unfortunately I can't find the two in phisical stores here to try... I want to use them with mmo or moba, i need them to be solid (my cheap one was damaged for being pressed too hard too fast) and I wanted to have a paired keyboard with italian layout... Any suggestion is appreciated 😊
For moba or mmo look at the razer Naga
Can it be compatible with USB 3.1 ports?
my 700 just kicked the bucket out of nowhere im probably gonna pick this up
i like the way this guy introduces the AD
how do you click and use the middle click/scroll wheel with your middle finger?
finally weights.......heavier mice are nice on hard pads for the glide/friction ratio. using 9hd and rival 700, but i used all 28g on my g9x back before it died. Something about a heavier mouse when making slashes that makes it feel more precise for me IMO....were talking a disparity of 20-50gs between a prototypical light weight fps mouse which just feels like air and easily breakable. I wish i could make my rival 700 20g heavier. I almost want to pour a tungsten casting in the gaps where the "modular" sensor is. just to add some weight. Its also nice that the buttons are totally isolated vs my r700 having a boarder along both m1 and m2....In an fps mouse i like running my finger at times along the edge of the button and shoot etc if my wrist is turned etc mice with boarder/bezels etc with embossed or equal level buttons to the boarder annoy me..........though you can press on the boarder w.o clicking a concept some gamers like its nice to see they did this to the 600. VS the 310 and 700 etc....just nit picking but very large design ques that differ from other steel series mice(modern) vs its competitors which all seemingly have no bezel/boarder surrounding mouse1&2. On the otherhand when i use my daily driver(g700s) for moba rts or arpg...I actually enjoy these bezels/boarders as even in front of m1/m2 they have boarders where i can rest my finger and easily spam click w.o worrying about actuation points or any other nonsense, Since i have big hands i can rest my index and middle finger on the front plastic and spam click away granted i dont have to pick up my mouse but its nice for those long monotonous grinds. Im just happy to see steelseries changing things up with the weights free/open mouse 1&2(and large to boot). Now they can actually be proud of making fps mice i found the rival 300 too small for my hand the 700 somewhat in ideal bc the sensor placement is so far back that wrist aiming is somewhat counterproductive because the yaw of the sensor is so far back that you literally turn fractions of what a mouse could turn with a higher sensor Talking degrees covered area covered etc....it makes it a full hand mouse which is IMO a nono for FPS being (typically a semi palm/hand/claw etc) fps encounters many scenarios where various grips come into play esp cs with low sense.........talking close quarters pistol skirmishes vs long range can be a real clusterfuck with a rival 700 400 dpi 1.6-1.8 sens and you will never be able to aim close range the way you used to with other mice....its a handicap having a sensor anywhere beyond 50% behind the mouse.........IMO beyond stupid. Precisely for this close range reason. Anyone whos been around would know........mice with highly forward leaning sensor placement(also dumb) equates to far too much aiming/sens when bottom mouse pinned left to right pivoting of the sensor etc...the tracking easily covers 2x on my g700s than my rival 700.....IDK why these guys do this. FPS mice should ideally have the sensor located where your thumb and 5th finger line up across the mouse never behind or 2x the distance above. At least the 600 got it right.......meh if lame ass SS made the original steel pad then id be fine but the god damn 9hd is like the size of a sheet of printer paper......havent tried the dex....but i want a 16x12 at the least hard pad from SS idk why must be production cost vs their shit all chinese oem cloth rubbish thats no better than anyones
@HardwareCanucks i have the csgo fade edition rival 310 and im thinking of updating to the rivel 600 or 700, which would be better since you collect alot and seem to play csgo often like myself plus i play quake champions alot. Rival 310 has been brilliant since i updated to it from a coolermaster sentinal oled and a logitech mx510. So im sticking with the rival as it has had the best feel for me ingames but i think its time for a small change as the rival 310 is starting to wear abit. Id like to know which to buy
I actually prefer the 310 over the 600. The lift-off sensor on the 600 is cool but not exactly necessary since the 310 is such a good performer. Stick with the 310, no need to "upgrade".
hmmm this or the g403 hero but with ghub issues lately I might go for the rival 600 with a apex 5 board this week.
How do you open this Mouse menu to customize the RGB
Is the mouse wheel scroll up/down programmable on this mouse ?
what's the Logitch keyboard in the background?
