Springtime In Alaska (Chores and Adventures)
Good morning from Alaska! We are back at the "lake" for another weekend of adventure. The snow is holding on for dear life but it's fate is sealed. We even refused to wear our winter gear this weekend
just to make a point of it. But the more it melts, the more work we can see lying beneath it,,,
Salmon season is just around the corner and we are planning our June trip to the Copper River. My family has been fishing the same stretch of river for over half a century now. The first time I fished there I was only 5 years old. I will tell you more about it as we get closer to the trip.
So much love and thanks to all of you. Our KZhead family means so much to us. Thanks again for everything.
Peace to you from all of us
P.S. We finally got a post office box set up for those of you that are interested in communicating via snail mail. Here it is:

The time spent , and the lessons learned with grandma and grandpa will last forever . ❤
I remember them well, even now at 65...
And me as well. My Grampa was digging the well with just a shovel and I was watching him down in the hole, sweat dripping from his brow. And he asked me if I wanted to help. And my 4 year old self, according to family legend, replied, I like to watch not work. Lol. Well that changed with the lessons he taught me, and I pride myself on my work ethic because of him. Lucky Grandson to have a Grandpa and Grandma like these two.
Haha! Wonderful story! ❤️
Thank you friend! 🥰
Alaska is a blessing from the Good Lord.
I’m gonna tell you something that you already know….that boy is amazing. Wow! He actually contributes and helps out for more than 5 minutes. He listens and is not afraid to try and fail. And most amazing of all….no whining or complaining or saying he is bored. A golden child. You are to be commended. What a gift he is being given…the ability to think and care for himself…to be self-confident and independent. A gift that keeps on giving that will serve you well also. This was a joy to watch even if a little nerve wracking watching you guys on that roof. Looking forward to next week.
Hello Dianne. Drox is a special little guy for sure. He is very special to me. We both love building and have a wonderful connection because of that. Drox was adopted into our family at the age of 4. I have adored him ever since. I am a lucky guy.
So much love in your family! You guys are a great example of what is good and right in this world! Thanks for sharing. Glad to see Drox there again, helping and enjoying time with you both.
Thank you so much Ann, we so appreciate your kindness and support. Take care friend. 🥰
Wendy Perrins,Queensland, Australia We love our children but our precious grandchildren are our greatest love. I love seeing you with Drox and he is learning so much from you both. I have three grandchildren but only one lives close and thankfully I see her most days I’d the week. She gives us so much pleasure. We are taking her wall climbing tomorrow which she loves to do. I love the cave Drox made we do that with sand not snow here on the Gold Coast. His big smile tells us how much he loves being with you. Enjoy. Thank you for letting us enjoy the time you have with Drox.
It is so awesome that Drox wants to learn so much from his grandpa. What a little helper. It will be so nice to see the cabin all done. Well you have to have a little playtime once in a while. Drox is so lucky to have grandparents like you.🥰 Nothing like interrupting sunbathing time to load trash 🗑️. Lol. Just be careful with the glass and stay safe.
Good morning LaRue. So good to hear from you. I may need to come up with a better line than "time to load trash" if I want to keep Tanya's interest too. See you soon my friend.
Drox is a lucky young man he is learning such valuable information to carry on the legacy that you lovely people have given him.......
Thats the sweetest thing , to learn and to be with grannnys.....
I went back and watched this again. I love this. Y’all are so patient with Drox, and teaching him so well. It’s a very special video.
Thank you for your comments. I appreciate that Dr Mark.
What great grandparents you are, just wonderful. A pretty smart little boy, thank you for sharing. Greetings from Germany
I love how his grandson is growing in wisdom that his grandparents give him! excellent greetings from Uruguay!
Hello Gabriel! A big shoutout to Uruguay as well. Peace to you my friend.
It’s so nice to see you spending time with your Grandson . Teaching him simple things like striking a match and checking oil levels.
I love the shot of the cabin moving with smoke coming out of the chimney! What a hoot! Have never seen that before! 🤪
Ha, It's pretty much where it will stay. We will have to adjust it a bit when the snow finally melts.
He has an infectious smile. Whoever marries him will surely be blessed and very lucky. Well, let's just let him enjoy his childhood years. Women can wait till later. Wayeeeeeeee later.
Hahaha.....God bless the boy , reminds me of myself when I was in his age , smart boy......peace upon you guys
He’s a smarty for sure. Okay hanks for the kind comment my friend. Peace and blessing to you also. Take care 😊
At the start, you show an incredible amount of love for that little boy. He got itt!!!
Aww that’s nice. Truth be told he’s pretty easy to love. Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment. Take care friend.
OH WOW......I am so excited to learn of your plan for placement of the little cabin. To have your porch over the water is going to be incredible. I can just imaging sitting on the patio in the evening with the sun setting and glistening on the water. I CANNOT wait to see this......
I can see it in my mind, I just need to build it now :)
@@ThisIsMyAlaska Very very few men possess the ability to see things in their "mind's eye".......but you can do this which is why you build such incredible cabins. Hurry, hurry, hurry......I want to see the finished designs.
Привет!У вас чудесная семья,а внук отличный помощник.очень похож на бабушку.Когда смотрю ваши фильмы,так становится тепло на душе!Рада за вас! Удачи!
Thank you my friend. I am so pleased you are enjoying our videos. Stay well.
Watching Tanya sunbathe on the roof, I was reminded of the movie, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". (No negative connotations). Who will prepare the coffee? Tanya, - "I, as usual"! This is not entirely true! I remember well how Gale took care of Tanya when there was a "wild" trip with an overnight stay in a tent! And of course Drox!! The most wonderful period of his childhood and growing up! He himself does not yet realize this, but in the near future, every minute, every day spent next to his grandparents will bear positive fruit in his work, in relationships with loved ones in the family! Stella is beyond competition! Loyalty, love, friendship - this is its essence!
That smile. It brightens MY day, your hearts must sing when you see it in person.
I love Alaska
We are the same in that way my friend. 😊 Thank you for watching.
Hello From Florida! It's certainly nice to see the snow melting away and "people" up in Alaska, laying in the sun, getting a tan!! And metal roofs are so good for laying around, enjoying the warmth. When I saw Drox's smiling face on the opening minutes of the video, I thought, "Boy if this kid could tap dance, he'd give Shirley Temple a run for her money as the best smile in "movie" history!" And it's true . . . he has grown a foot in the past few months. Before you know it, he'll be able to stand on the floor and reach the ceilings to help Gale affix those new rafters!! As always, Tanya, the "Time for Coffee" comment was much appreciated for a little dry humor! I'm going to try that with Fred the next time things get "tedious" here. Gale's natural talents as a builder are showing through again. I could watch you tear down and rebuild all day, Gale. When we were building the B&B (a million years ago!), we had two local guys who were doing the building. Kevin was 6'6" and his assistant, Bob, was 5'6". Between the two of them, they worked from sun up 'til sun down, talking little and accomplishing a lot. Natural builders, like you, Gale. When watching a natural creative builder such as yourself, Gale, I feel as though I'm watching a great piece of art being created. Yesterday, Gale, I went back in your videos and watched the one where you and Drox went up to the old resort to "get the lay of the land." It seems that was the beginning of this amazing renewal up there in the "north pole!" I feel a renewal coming to the planet Earth in the near future, where the old, negative ways are dying off and the new, positive ways are taking hold of us all and giving us hope for the future. I feel that you, Gale and Tanya and your family, are leading the charge into this "Brave New World." Its going to be an exciting journey for us all. We're glad to be on the journey with you-all! God Bless, Leslie Ann & Fred
Good evening you two! Where does the time go? We are already done with May and getting ready to blow through June. In Alaska, we measure our summers by weekends before the snow flies again. We typically see snow by early October in the interior of the state, the summers are so short, too short! We have to spend them wisely, with people we love, doing the things we love. I think we are at the age where we want life to slow down a bunch and let us savor some of the wonderful years. What part of Florida are you from? When Tanya and I first married with drove a little Honda Civic all the way from Fairbanks to Hobe Sound, Florida and spent about two years there sweltering. One day we had enough, we packed up and drove back to Alaska. We have been here ever since. Love you guys!
@@ThisIsMyAlaska As you know, we're in Sarasota now. But we - both Fred and I - grew up in Wisconsin. I, in Milwaukee (the southern part) and Fred in Eagle River (the northern part). Our home in Wisconsin, in Land O' Lakes, is butted right up to the Michigan Upper peninsula - the back end of our lot there is on the state line between Wisconsin and Michigan. So, we grew up "Snow Babies" and know what short summers are all about. It's impossible to grow tomatoes in our 60-day growing season!! Once upon a time, Gale, way back at the beginning of your channel, you and I "talked" about my having lived in Islamorada in the Florida Keys and you-all having spent time in Hobe Sound in FLA. Do you still have a house there? Or family? You're right about time passing quickly. We both "feel" like we're still in our 30s or 40s; and I'm turning 73 on Saturday. Fred and I are both "orphans" now, both sets of our parents having left the planet. Now, we will be the next generation to die off and leave the planet to our children; a sobering thought. But we're "long-livers," both; Fred's parents lived into their late 80s and my mom died last February at 96. We're counting on being around for a good, long time yet. And, we're kind of following your example of renovating the old; we're going back to Fred's old stomping grounds and looking to renovate and rebuild old buildings, fire up the old hand pump and/or drive another point well if necessary. It'll be our "get-away" place in the event we decide to live "off grid." And, we'll be with you both (all?) on your journey each week as instructions on just how to do some of that renovating! Have a great day, unless you have other plans! Leslie Ann & Fred
Ahhhh BreakUp time! Wonderful feeling!!!!!
Breakup time is a wonderful time! It holds the promise of warmer and longer days ahead! Thanks for watching friend!
brother gale very good your video the light of the snow contrasts with the blue of the sky I liked it when the video starts the colors of the sky against the landscape your wife on the roof of the cabin drox playing the dog you included squaring the camera to take the picture video on the roof in short many beautiful moments seen on my screen that you can see even the smallest details very good video luck sergio
Thank you Sergio. I appreciate your wonderful feedback. We enjoy working with the video camera trying to capture the right views. I am so pleased to hear that you enjoy the detail work we do. That is a big compliment and I owe you my thanks. Perhaps one day we will meet and share a cup of coffee! That would be so great. Until next week. Peace
I love this kiddo, he is doing a great great work, he will be a fine young boy someday!
As my mother passed away when I was 7, I would travel on the overnight train to stay with my grandmother and my oldest uncle, till I was 12 year's old so my relationship with them was the most important part of my upbringing, even now at 66 I still regard that time as life defining indeed so, your grandson is very fortunate enough to have both of you in his one on one , especially as he is being taught so many skills, Stella is even more happy, 😊❤🐕.
Good evening Warren. Thank you for sharing some of your history with me. I can relate to your experience. At 13 I went to live at a boarding school and spent three years there. The men and women I met there have impacted my entire life and undoubtedly changed the direction of it. Drox was adopted into our family at age 4. Imagine how he will look back at the people in his life.
He seems to thrive around you both. Beautiful.
I’m so happy that your channel has grown so large. I enjoy the work y’all are doing. It shows the Alaskan Can do spirit in the best way. Peace.
Haven't commented in a long while but still here from the very beginning! You have so many subscribers now. I have learned so much from your construction knowledge. I miss living in Alaska so much and it feels like you are my extended family after all of this time. Just seeing the word Spenard on the materials gives me a lift. I call this new project of yours Bourne Town and its more exciting every week. Well, give Tanya my best and hugs to Stella! Drox is growing so fast! He's a handsome fella! Our snow here in Colorado is almost over. We got 22" at my house this past week. That should be it for this year. I'm looking forward to spending the summer with ya'll through your videos! Blessings! Ginger in Colorado!
Good morning Ginger. I am so glad to hear from you. I can imagine how much Alaska pulls on you. It is such a special place. Nobody can say it better than Robert Service: "The winter! the brightness that blinds you, The white land locked tight as a drum, The cold fear that follows and finds you, The silence that bludgeons you dumb. The snows that are older than history, The woods where the weird shadows slant; The stillness, the moonlight, the mystery, I’ve bade ’em good-by-but I can’t." Much love to you from both of us
Dream team, Grandpa, Grandma and grandson, stay safe out there ❤️and respect from the uk
Trusses are looking good Gale. I think Tanya was just looking for some heat when she was laying on the roof 🤣Nice to see Drox out there giving you a hand and learning from grandma and grandpa! You guys got a lot done and still had some good laughs and some good family time, nothing more important than family. Poor Stella wanted to be on the roof with you guys! Looking forward to seeing the cabin next to the lake, gonna be beautiful, until the next one ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼🦴
In light of what transpired in Uvalde,Texas, the time spent with our kids and grandkids is even more precious. May God guide all those precious souls home to Him. Droxx reminds me of my own little guy and how open they are to all we can teach them. God bless you both.
Thank you Carol. Yes, we treasure every moment with our family. It is the greatest blessing we could hope for
Good morning to you both, it is always nice to see your grandson with you both. And it seems like he like helping grandpa a lot. Grandchildren are precious. I hope that snow melt slow so you two don't get a flood. Anyway stay safe and sound and take care 😀
Loretta, your wish has been granted, it seems to be melting very slow indeed 😉. Drox is a wonderful help and such a joy to us. Thank you so much for watching and for the lovely comment. Peace to you friend. 🥰
Enjoy your day together, hope you both and a warm sunny day there. I also like when you two talk at the end of your video. It is nice. Can't wait til your next clip and talk soon.
Hi Gale, Tanya and Drox!! Again Alex from the almost winter of Argentina! Another beautiful video full of fun and hard work! I can't wait to see how the lakeside cabin turns out but, wow, there's going to be a lot to do when the snow melts. But that means more videos for us, so thumbs up!! As always, thank you for taking the time to share these moments with us, a big hug for all of you and have a great week!!
Thanks so much! A huge shout out to beautiful Argentina too. Thanks for sharing our adventures. Peace to you from all of us here.
Do you know, it's the simple and very common things that are said and done on your videos that are so endearing. Loved Tanya's disturbed sunbathing with 'Is that your best offer?' and also Drox's response saying 'Do you need some help?' Just wonderfully real - but again Gale, your interaction with Drox as he learns is the very model of patience. Learning by doing is such an important means of exploring what we are capable of and having his pop pop there is the very meaning of pedagogy. Thanks again - progress is inexorable.
Thank you Jim. I enjoy hearing from you each week. We are making progress and enjoying the journey. We are not really in a hurry, even though there is a lot to do in our short summer season. We will just do our best and leave it at that. We love spending time with the family here and want to involve more of our grandchildren as we go along. We have a total of fifteen now so Drox has some competition. I appreciate your insights and kind comments. Peace.
Spectacular video, as usual my friend!😁🙏💛
Thank you my friend. See you next week!
Love seeing Drox and Stella playing together. And wow! Drox is so helpful to Grandpa and Grandma.
Good evening Teresa. So good to hear from you. Yes, Drox is a big help. He also keeps me smiling.
Hi Gale, Tanya and Drox - every video from your "adventures" make us happy - its good to see how you give Drox knowledge in so many thinks - we wish you a great time at the lake - PEACE and many greetings from Salzburg Robert and Irene
Good evening to both of you from both of us! Thank you guys for being part of our lives here in Alaska. See you soon. Peace
@@ThisIsMyAlaska its great to being a part of your wonderful channel - peace to you and your family
I enjoy watching you happy family.
Thank you friend. ❤️
Tell your grandson I am very proud of him. He is going to be a good 👍man .
Thank you Michael. I will tell him. I appreciate your kind words.
"Well... let's go load this trash on the trailer." "Is that your best offer??" 🤣
I am going to have to come up with a better offer :)
@@ThisIsMyAlaska It was a classic exchange! and then Drox getting himself out of a snow hole!
I could have watched this all day. Man did that go fast. God bless you guys🙂
Sinbad, thank you so much. Peace and blessing to you and yours my friend. 🥰
I just love the chat between you both, in Scotland we call that banter,, like when Tanya was so comfortable lying in the sun and said is that your best offer after you asked her to help you load the trash 🤣🤣🤣 Great to see young Drax back at it too - stay safe folks
Hello Scott. Yes, we call it banter here too. I am going to have to come up with a better offer for Tanya if I am going to keep her helping me. "Loading the trash" is not going to cut it all summer :)
Fantastic video and great to see the A team back together again
Thanks Alan. Great to have you here. We appreciate the kind comment. 🥰
They look so happy together
You & Stella remind me of an old Vaudeville team. You are the straight man out front and Stella is the comedy behind your back bring down the house !!!!🐩🐩❤❤
❤️
Good Friday morning. Great to see the progress on the house and that Drox was able to spend time with his favorite Grandpa and Grandma. I was glad to see your raising the house as the snow melt and the river rise could cause some issues as it warms up. On the other hand the views are going to be outstanding. Hopefully you have a dump or restore outfit where you take all those window frames and glass. I hope you have a wonderful Memorial day weekend and that you get to enjoy it with friends and family. God Bless, Pete
A big greeting from India full of love, thanks for sharing, I always learn something, hugs for the 3 and for the rest of the Alaskan family.
Good morning everyone!! Great to see the gang of 3 together. I can't wait to show my grandbabies that I know folks that live at the North Pole. It may not be the one that Santa lives at...but they won't know that...lol. Stella doing her best to get up on the roof with her boy was just too cute! Have ya'll heard from Wayne, the man that was asking for prayer? I hope things are going better for him and his family. Hope ya'll have a great Memorial Day weekend. God bless.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how you build these buildings.
Hello Gerald. Thank you my friend. We will be moving slowly but steadily. See you Friday.
We are being spoilt- Drox is back to help out! So lovely seeing you all work together in some sunshine! And lots of running water. It's almost magical the way the landscape changes. Can't wait to see the little cabin by the lake. xoxo
❤️ from Glasgow Scotland
Your videos make me happier, I watch from Russia ❤
Thank you for this comment!
I look forward to Fridays to see a new video from y'all, it is so good to see you guys working together. please give Stella a treat for me
My family and I are going to build our dream home and watching your adventures with your family is really inspiring 😊 ☕
This is so cool! I hope you guys build a wonderful home and wonderful memories. Peace to you from all of us.

Огромный тёплый привет Вашей дружной семье из Крыма (Россия).Желаем Вам успехов и удачи.Регулярно смотрим ваши ролики.
Great video pushing the cabin with the stove pipe smoking away!
Looks like the perfect spot for a gigantic skylight at the end there...
Right?
What a big help Drox is!! And he's learning from the best!! 👍😊
“What are you doing up there Drox?” “Causing an avalanche” I’ve never seen a cabin on skis being moved…with a smoking chimney. 😳 Drox is the most precious boy 🥰 God bless 🙏
Love your videos and love how you two interact with each other and your grandson. Love the patience you have with him as well. I sat here and smiled when you and your grandson was putting up the rafter.
Good morning Wayne! So good to hear from you. We have been thinking a lot about you and your dear wife. We mentioned you guys in last week’s video. If you haven’t had a chance to read over the comments, you should. So many people are praying for you guys. Have a wonderful weekend
@@ThisIsMyAlaska I went back and read all of the comments of the people praying for my wife and me. If you could thank them in your next video I sure would appreciate it. Astounded that you even remembered my reply to you, thank you guys so much. May God bless you and all of your followers!
Bom dia! Saúde e alegrias no calor. Abraço
Hi Gail Tanya Stella drox great to see you guys together it's good to see drox spending time with grandma grandpa love you guys have a nice weekend your friend in Rockingham NC 💗💞💞💕
Hmm... Great video as allways! Glad to see Drox enjoying himself with you guys! Again the family nurturing. The eggs look like some sort of aphid or perhaps even ladybug eggs, though both are generally laid on plant leaves.
Hello Levi. Good to hear from you. Several people have suggested dragonfly eggs which make sense since we have so many around here. I have never seen a lady bug in these high elevations but there may be some around
Hello Gale and Tonya! I so enjoy when your grandson, Drox, gets to help with your projects. The joy he exudes while being with his grandma and grandpa is just a wonderful thing to observe. I'm thinking you passed down your parenting skills to your daughter. He is so good with Stella, too! Love your videos and have told so many people to watch! ❤❤❤
Thanks you Carole! We appreciate your kind comments. Spending the weekends with the grandkids is such a joy to us. We actually have 15 grandchildren now and they all live within a few minutes of us. Many of them want to come along and help. I think you may be meeting some of them as we go along here
@@ThisIsMyAlaska That will be wonderful to meet more of your grandchildren! 15! Such a blessing!
Once again I can't tell you how much I enjoy your video's they are Informative Heart warming and peaceful and how you involve your grandson with patients in your projects is so nice to see it reminded me when I had my twin girls Dakota and Shoshone who I lost a few years ago It brings back memories of the three of us also working on the property but anyway I am great full for your video's they are so much appretated.
Good afternoon my friend. Thank you for your friendship and support of this project and our channel. We are so glad you are part of our community here. Also, we appreciate you sharing your memories with us. The people in our lives are what it is all about isn't it? Nothing matters very much with out our relationships. Peace to you from both of us.
If I wanted to see someone teaching a kid, I would look for that kind of video.
I smile every time your grandson smiles. Infectious. 😁
Yes, I do the same (I am smiling just writing this)
Drox - "something exploded....." Gail - *well it certainly wasnt that match* ... and all i could hear in the background was Tanya giggling.. poor Drox lol.. well.. another action packed video over with. good to see the cabin almost in it's final resting position and intact almost! . Bet you'll be glad to see the end of all that snow so you can really get stuck in and work on the refurbs
Good morning my friend. Yes, Drox keeps us both chuckling. All we have to do is hide and watch his antics. We are heading back up to the cabin in a few hours, to spend another weekend working on the old place. We will see how much progress the sun made on that pile of snow!
Well you can tell the Foreman is back, because there is more work getting done!😂 Hope the ribs are better! Bill
Good morning Bill. That's a fact! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend my friend. Peace
@@ThisIsMyAlaska you guys as well!
Awesome people working on a awesome project! I just love watching Drox learning from his Grandpa and Grandma, there’s not enough of this going on in the world! Take care you two and be safe.
Good evening Marty! So good to hear from you. I do agree, we need more grandparents working with their grandkids. That is what life is all about at the end of the day. Peace
Goingto be so interesting to finally see the cabin finished. Love watching the process. Another great vid! And I am wondering about the history of this property. Thanks!
I love Drox's smile. He is a very handsome little boy who cares about his grandpa and grandma very much. 😍 Nice and warm weather brings so much joy to finish the renovation faster. Be safe and good luck , always. Love from Canada and originally from Iran where people are suffering and struggling for living, especially at this time.
Good evening Homeyra. Thank you for writing so kindly. I do see the struggles in many parts of the world and my heart is heavy for so many suffering people. Iran has certainly seen its share of suffering. I know it is a beautiful country with beautiful people. Thank you so much for your words.
Thank you 🙏
How cold is that running water in the opening scenes and at the end of the video? COOOOOOLD I think !!!! Did you put a new green roof on the little cabin that I missed? It looks like a new metal roof.......You never cease to amaze me Gale. You have a definite style all your own and it shows in every building project. Exposed beams in the little cabin and now exposed beams in the workshop. I imaging that by the time you complete the workshop it will be nice enough to live in.........Guess what?? I am the new owner of a house in Houston Texas. It closed last week but it will be at least 3 months before I can move down there. I would love to show you pictures of my new home......🏡🏡❤❤
Hello Dona! I didn’t put a new roof on the little cabin yet. I will do that later this summer though. I want to see your new house pictures. Send them to thisismyalaskalife@gmail.com

Hello Anura! Yes, Drox is back in the saddle and we are enjoying his company.
Alaska most be amazing, I start learn about it with your videos can you tell us more? Always nice to see such a loving family like yours. Hugs to you both from Italy.
Interesting to see "North Pole, Alaska" is just south of Fairbanks, and that the snow depth in that area is SO HUGE, that at the end of May, there is STILL so much to melt. I appreciate learning about Alaska. Thank you.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!

Hey there Richard. Yep, Drox is out of school and a foot taller. It has to be something in the water here. Peace
I was bummed that Gale and Drox didn't color coordinate this trip ☹️😂. J/K, the video didn't disappoint, I was dying on the lamp lighting debacle. Grandpa's patience was extraordinary! 😂
Haha, thanks Brandon. Drox is a hoot. His snappy comments just keep me chuckling

Good evening Peggy! We are so behind on replying to your comment this week. But it is so good to hear from you guys. See you soon. Peace
Hello friends. I still find it fascinating what you are doing. Although I don't understand very well if you have bought an entire town or just a couple of houses. That seems to be an uninhabited people. My level of English is not good and I have missed that explanation. I find it incredible that there is still that amount of snow and you are so calm. Of course you are made differently. I admire you. A hug and a cordial greeting.
Miguel, we bought a property with several old building on it and we are trying to reuse what we can. It hasn’t been inhabited for several years. We are sure ready for the snow to be gone. It has hung in extra long this year. Thank you so much for watching and for taking a moment to leave a kind comment. Take care friend.
talking and working at the same time. a lost art!

Good Morning Drox, Stella, Tanya and Gale - The bright spot in every Friday morning is having the opportunity to drink my morning coffee while watching you make progress on your projects. Watching you inspires me to do and accomplish things every Friday. Watching Drox interact with Stella is heart warming, the bond between a boy and a dog is hard to beat. I am totally amazed each Friday, seeing how much you accomplish in just a week end of work. I have many questions about what lies ahead, but do not want to ask them, it would ruin the surprise. Thank you for providing such great entertainment, life lessons and wholesome fun to all of us. Stay Safe. Kind Regards, Randy in Arizona (104 degrees yesterday)
Good morning Randy. We are slowly making progress on this old place. We get about a day and a half each weekend to work on it. So far the weather is clear and sunny, which is typical for the early spring here, but the rains and storms are coming soon. We need to get these roofs on as soon as possible. We are not a young or as fast as we used to be so things progress slowly in our opinion. We also want to keep things enjoyable and take time talk, drink coffee and play with the grandkids. That will probably only get more so as this project continues. As always, thank you for your friendship. I treasure it. Peace
Howdy Tanya, Gale. Drox's grin is ear to ear, very seldom you can feel a happy smile. I replied to your "thank you" to me on "Raising the Roof" video. I passed some thoughts (you maybe glad to read) to you concerning astronomy group. Memorial Day, enjoy the barbecue.
Thank you Warren. We will go take a look at your other comments. Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day my friend.
Stella would follow Drox anywhere. What a love! ❤️ The dismantling of the roof was really interesting because I had no idea how those were put together. What a treasure these days must be for all of you. Thank you for the comforting water footage. Peace to you and yours. 🙂
Drox is learning a lot and making some great memories all at the same time - plus having fun...I can tell Stella loves having a playmate!! Watching your channel is pleasurable and also encouraging . Shows hard work pays off in the long run. Stay safe.
Hello Terrie. Thank you for your encouraging comments. Stella and Drox are the best of playmates. I love watching those two together. Thanks again for being here. Peace
this is awesome!
As usual another trip for the record books. Building strong children. ITs great to see him out with you two. Be well.
Thanks my friend. This has been a busy summer. I am ready to slow down a bit. How is your cabin coming along?
STELLA!!! Always a pleasure. Have a great holiday weekend. God bless you all.
That grandson of yours has a smile bigger than Alaska!! 😁
"We are going to go load trash on the trailer" "Ok, Do you need help?" PRICELESS
So beautiful
As a kid, I never liked paper matches and I still don't. LOL I cheered when Stella made it on top of the roof. Drox dug himself into a hole, literally and figuratively. LOL He is so cute. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished roof.
Watching him trying to strike that match was a whole evening's entertainment! He is half the fun out here. See you soon.
Too cool.
excellent video. enjoy seeing drox.
