Hey! can you see the guy with glasses (right) in the minute 1:15 ? Well, that's me... I remember waiting 14 hours that day to see Roger, I didn't eat, I didn't pee and I was dehydrating ... And yet, that was the best night of my life.
Legend!
Dude, you were rocking full of emotions! I envy you. I wish Roger would come to the Philippines too.
It's true, it's a great moment for you. You have a chance to be there. Bye. Douga-Aokas-Kouba-Paris
Pues que pendejo
I love seeing that particular audience shot and how much you are enjoying the show. Cool to see your post about it.
Animals doesn't get the credit it deserves, has to be lyrically the best album Roger has written
I agree. There's the Wall, and Animals. Two masterpieces!
... the lyrics and feel have never been more relevant. Not even in 1975 when it was recorded.
Animals is a great PF LP and it’s easy to overlook when you can put out LPs like Dark Side and Meddle. Awesomeness
"Animals" is among the most underrated albums of the 1970s, which is saying a lot.
Hopefully when Roger is back and does his tour in the 🇺🇸 USA during the election , the good people in America will listen to the lyrics of Animals and not be SHEEP🐑 and let the PIGS🐷 like Trump🏴☠️ set the DOGS🐕 on them..!! C'mon America wake up and bite back its in your hands/mouths to make a difference ✌️🍀
One of the best floyd songs ever written. It has everything
Truly A Floyd Masterpiece.
I swear I'd probably break down sobbing within the first minute. How epic it must have been to be at this show!
Fuckin savage
Another out of touch rock star! Sad actually...
Spray, I would probably puke instead of sob.
@@gemannable All liberals are.
@@kerbygator We pay them to hear their music...not their twisted political views. This guy isn't even an American!
My neighbors listen to this music all the time because they have NO CHOICE!!!
A I R I say the same!
😂
:-)
SO DO MY OWN ONES!! This song became better and better with pumping up the volume!!
I bet they even threw a rock through your window so they could hear it better.
The audience is young, Mexican youth has good taste in music.
Fuck yes we do!
most of the world youth have better taste in music than americans, its no surprise
Anything anti-law and order is always appealing to the youth... Duh! That’s why they love this. Because it’s anti-Trump! They really don’t know who Pink Floyd really are. Just more PROPAGANDA!
@@briankgagermeier im pretty sure they have paid to go to a Roger Waters concert not an anti-Trump concert
@@briankgagermeier hahaha you're very smart i bet you have a lot of friends.
I saw Roger Waters in Philly on 8/5/2022. I brought my son along. It was his 21st Birthday. I had taken 6 gummies prior. I was riding on the soundwaves. It was a night neither one of us would forget. I raised my son right. Thanks, Dad, for providing an amazing soundtrack for my childhood. Rest in Peace
This hits way harder than the studio version Back here after a looong year. I never realised I got this many likes. So many people together, listening to great music. Thank you.
Decades Ahead of it's Time.👍
See this live some time...it will blow your mind. Watch out for the pig.. I was like, WTF????
Down in the pig mine! Is were I get my SHINE.
Mark Rushton no doubt about it 👍
You got that right!
Nearly 40 years to the day since its release, Animals is as relevant on this day as it's ever been.
Yes, it is. Sadly.
Sadly, you're right. People are still working so animals like you can idle and loiter, listening to inane music that blows their sense of self-esteem and worth completely out of proportion.
+Fred Vanhees Nah, nothing like that at all. But thanks for playing.
Stuart Brown Wow.... a simple and true point is slammed? whats all the fear on the right?
The right live in a carefully constructed delusional bubble that is dependent on untrue absolutes. Any introduction of nuance, tolerance or paradox threatens the rigid personal and subcultural persona. It's the same reactionary fear that has motivated the rise of terrorism in rigid middle east fascists. A new movement is organizing to counter this stubborn entrenchment of the outdated patriarchy. Although it's being expressed in gender, it's really world view. Love trumps hate.
Credit to the sound guys, Jesus this sounds amazing
The sound on this tour was the best ever.
Say what you want about Roger, he definitely puts on a show!
Yeah, but he needs to lose the political bullshit and get on with the music.
@@tropicalspeed considering he’s never done that ever, I wouldn’t expect him to now
Music is political, art is necessarily political. @@tropicalspeed
@@tropicalspeed everything is political.
@@tropicalspeed The song itself is political in nature. Pink Floyd has always been political and always will be.
Who's here in 2020 appreciating this again?
I ever. do Brasil
man i went to that concert and its the best fucking concert i had ever went
YES
Also- I have newfound appreciation for Roger. I kinda always loved Gilmour the most and held some resentment about Roger for the fractious nature he brought to the band, but this? Fucking awesome.
Oh yeah! He nearly a laugh but, he’s really a cry! Or crime!!
40+ years on and Roger can still rock PIGS, one of the greatest Pink Floyd songs he ever wrote. A true masterpiece.
Well said
Let's go Brandon 👍
Agreed!
Fuck YES
The Absolute Truth!!!!!! 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾✌🏻✌🏻
One of music's most underrated albums of all time...Animals is up there with Dark Side of the Moon!!
Animals was good, but nowhere close to the genius of Dark Side Of The Moon.
@@stanleymasterson1135 i recognise how good dark side is but tbh i prefer animals, the wall and wywh
I've been listening to Animals regularly since it came out. But now I'm just addicted to this album for the last 3 weeks. I just can't stop listening to these songs. But the best Floyd album in my opinion is still Wish You Were Here.
It was good. Many "firsts" to this album as a kid. Some I wish weren't ever.
Tough to beat the four album run Floyd had with DSOM, ANIMALS, the wall and WYWH. Unmatched.
I’ve been a fan of Pink Floyd for over 40 years and it still hits me the same way it did 40 years ago. Respect ✌️❤️ 🎶
Similar 👍 From Echoes to this and Dogs of War. So spot on. So prophetic 👍
My God what a concert show. Only artists from 50 years ago can put on such a show. Phenomenal Roger, God bless you
I dunno, I went to a Rammstein show here in Australia a few years ago and omFg! They even credited Floyd though.
@@rabidbigdog that's fine, but I wouldn't compare Rammstein and Roger Waters or Pink Floyd.
Time moves forward,artists do not.
To anyone with bare guitar skills: learn this piece. No big chords, no quick tempo, just a huge masterpiece. Gets you a lot into the mood. Into a trance. Do it. Now.
💯 love this comment
The guitar parts were done by waters himself. Except for the solo.
Did it, I can totally say it was worth it
Well said.

This song was way ahead of time. It applies more now than before about the pigs around the world. Amazing song.
Maybe you're just sloghtly awake now.
Trump is not a pig - far from it! This part of of the show makes me ill because Roger's view is all wrong.
@@wendymckee2014 No, that would be sad for the pigs to be compared to. He's less than a swine.. Almost a good swine, but really a laugh..
@@wendymckee2014 of course he is. He’s fooled into believing he’s the answer. He’s just like the rest of them

Roger doesn't like politicians. They're all snake oil salesmen, liars & manipulators or all 3 at once lol.
oh you think?
@@rustykuntz94 Did you even think that Trump was a politician ever...Really?

Roger is a rare person who looks better with age
This man is 78 and looks cool as fuck.

PS: GERMANY is NOT the politics ! (And NEVER was !)
To be honest, I thought the live version of this song after 40+ years wouldn't be this great and the studio version will be forever the best version. Man! Was I wrong?! Amazing performance Roger !!!!!!! lol Awesome
Roger has more energy than most of new musicians.
Iggy Pop live is also very energetic and lively
But
Passion and Love.
Ozzy was jumping about for a Black Sabbath world tour, Bruce was running around in multiple costumes for the last Maiden tour. ACDC have always been full on for every live gig.

Political trash!
This song simply proves how universal were the Roger Waters'PF: Pigs was written in the late seventies and it is still relevant today. Clever and beautiful songwritning
Animals will always be relevant so long as capitalism and fascism are present in our society
Who was Roger; PF; singing this song about in the late 70's? Politicians in general or a specific political figure he politically disagreed with? Pink Floyd didn't perform their music in their live shows back then the way Roger Waters performs it now.
@Ethan Fritts Roger hates capitalism, sure he belongs to the petit burgeois but he does not exploit workers means of production. Capitalism is the worst system right now and is going to kill all life on Earth if we don't do anything about it
And it's only got more relevant with time.

Many people are saying leave politics out of music, but Roger Waters has a audience of millions of people around the world & he is doing his best to fight the U.S war machine. I am a 70 year old Vietnam vet & I thank the people of that era who took to the street & the musicians who used their voice at that time to stop the 'Masters of War'. If you don't like what Roger Waters has to say, then go to a Ted Nugent or some country music concert. Keep up the great work & the great music Roger, we love you.
My dad was a WWII vet, mortor crew. Tried for years growing up to get war stories out of him. To his credit he was against romanticizing anything about the war and didn't tell us anything about the war until the end of his life. He died in 2005 and admired Waters's music. If he had meet him, he would have been proud to shake his hand.
Tony Santone roger waters was always political with his music
Tony Santone, thank you for your service, and welcome home.
Tony Santone. Hey Tony I agree with you on fighting the war machine
Loving what he(Roger Waters) has done here..... Giving the people a voice. This event pretty much sums up the feelings of the people around the world. Obviously, world leaders are forced to play nice in order to strike deals that benefit those they represent, but this event exemplifies the feelings of the every day people around the world. Tragically, Trumps continuing position in power also exemplifies the level of indifference and total lack of regard that the(majority of the) privileged feel for minorities and the disadvantaged in the US as well as their neighbors around the world.;.. It's sickening to come to realize that Trumps own bigoted words(not the media.... HIS OWN WORDS) are taken in with such a level of indifference to those he means to disadvantage... I'm pretty sure that these are the "people of the world"(the indifferent) that the Bible warns us about(being).
Mexican peeps really know how to party, amazing performance and amazing crowd, they are crazy!
Thank you Mr Waters for this patriotic song.
at the end of this concert (we had kick ass seats) - my 13 year old daughter screamed "I felt like I was in a dream !!" "How can one person be this good?!" Being a 40 year fan - That right there made me CRY... The power this man has over his and our music... is ASTOUNDING...
It was the best concert I've ever been to. It is like being in a dream!
I saw Pink Floyd on 2 hits of acid in 1977 at Soldier Field, Chicago when this album was new. Talk about feeling like it was a dream...lol
Amazing!
The faces change over time, but they're oinking the same tune.

Hats off to the David Gilmore substitute! He really nailed this song! 🎶🤘🎵
Love it! ❤️
40 years on and still relevant..
More so.... in present times.
More relevant? Not a chance. I saw the original PF, Roger Waters, Davis Gilmour, BritFloyd, and Australian Pink Floyd. Best to worst: 1) Pink Floyd. 2) David Gilmour, 3) Brit Floyd, 4) Roger Waters 5) Australian PF. Original PF played recent PF songs mixed with their classics. The other four played essentially the same set of PF classics. Gilmour's guitars solos can't be replaced because every guitarist is unique, especially Gilmour. Bas is a background rhythm instrument, making it the easiest to replace. As for vocals, Gilmour's voice is much more controlled and melodic. Waters does a lot of screaming/shouting.
@Guitar Player: You've missed the point. It is not about the performance (as you have detailed). It is more about the theme/lyrics that are very relevant even today.
I agree. There is a maxim in musical fashions which is it is not what it is.. but 'when' it is. Waters is the most committed to the creativity of the artist and it should be noted that he transcends his inabilities when compared to skilled musicians with guts and more determinationthan anyone I know. His is a lingua franca for everyman and for moments of real crisis.
Stpendous concert and showmanship. Just like Pink Floyd in 1977 performance of WYWH and Animals albums.
I was there. One of the best nights of my life
This hero-I mean the legendary Roger Waters-is a true and shining treasure for all libertarians around the world. Regardless of nation, color, or any other difference between human beings, he teaches us all to resist force and forced obligations in life, from school days to all aspects of life! Beautifully, he tries to organize concerts everywhere to remind us that in the new world, we must resist hierarchical coercion. This man is more than a musician. He is a world-class social activist, and the world must admire him more and more.
Roger Waters you are a Hero.....May the Almighty bless you ........
This song is 1000 times more relevant now than it was when it was recorded 40 years ago.
What did it relate to forty years ago Johnny?
UK Politics, especially concerning Mary Whitehouse. If you really want to know everything about it, look it up.
Johnny Polo: how is it more relevant now than back in 1977? It was very relevant back then when you read the history of politics of the U.K. I really hate when people treat celebs as they 'walk on water' and twist things to suit them. Answer this: if a song is written about a particular country's politics, how can it be more relevant to another county's politics? Do you see how silly your post is?
It was relevant also when Clintons bombed Yugoslavia and when Obama attacked Lybia and Syria.
Johnny Polo except a little fukin problem that it was relevant against politicians like Bush obama hillary and NOT!! Trump! Pink Floyd was a right wing conservative band, not liberal. it's really sad to see Waters selling his soul, and jumping on the politically correct liberal bandwagon, and licking liberals asses :-/ poor old Waters was always a fukin egoistic nihilist dick, no wonder he fucked up the band... now he's fuckin senile too... 👎👎
The first success of the trump presidency.... Making Roger release HD concert footage of this performance.
Now that is a success I can get behind.
Jason T I hope they do a full concert releases in hd. I was at dessert trip and it was great.
I hope he issues a BluRay like he did The Wall tour. That would be awesome!
It's no success of trump. Let's be clear. It's a success of those who would stop him and his neo-fascist movement. After all, we don't thank the WWII German despot, or for stopping him. Do we?
Lady BlackstarDust whoa there. It was a tongue in cheek remark...no need to take everything so seriously there.

The building in the background is a representation of Battersea Power Station, which of course is featured on the cover of the Animals album. In the 80s I fixed Floyd's computers at their studio in Britannia Row in Islington. In their office there was a sketch of Battersea Power Station with the giant pig floating over. 2:43 Happy to see that Pink Floyd music has an impact on the 20 / 30 year old generation coming from a band that had their best albums in the 70´s . Pink Floyd is the best band of all times. And I was only born in 1974.
I was born '68 , never heard of them until my first job as a baker / confectioner , early one morning someone had an old cassette tape on the work stereo , since that morning Animals has remained one of my favourite albums of all time . Is not so much listening to the music for musics sake , but a whole experience , this album never ages , just sooo good.

Woooow! Best rendition of this song since the original! The amazing thing about Pink Floyd that their music make more sense by the years. The Wall, Animals and other albums. We need these music now more than ever!
It doesnt make MORE sense. The corruption has been going on for over a century. You just get older and understand it better.
For the life of my I can't understand how you can thoroughly enjoy this concert if you have your stupid phone in your hand the whole time recording everything. I guess I'm old fashioned but I prefer to soak in the atmosphere and just watch the show.
I agree, it must be weird performing to a massive crowd of people standing and recording you on little glowing rectangles.
Mabey for people like me, who didnt attend? And now enjoying the atmosphere as much as it is on the phone even?
Man they probably just want to record it and post it on Social Media to brag that they went to a concert. Who knows :| but if I was at these kinds of concerts I would eat an edible and just feel the music :)

Every note on pink Floyd songs mean just as much to the song as anything. Their attention to those details is what stands out to me

Roger is truly a citizen of the world. He is a proponent of human rights for all humans everywhere. Hopefully the racists, fascists, nationalists and other assholes of the world will wake up and figure out that the banks and corporations are the real enemies of the people.
Disagree. Every country on the earth with Pink-Floyd-fans is his second home. Oh man he has so many......
I should be his first home!
I love it when I go to a Roger Waters show…and all these right-wing-nuts walk out because of the imagery and powerful anti corporate/establishment messages in his music. I hate to say it, but it is kind of amusing when you see the light bulb come on 😮and they walk out in a huff. Some people say “He shouldn’t be so political!” Are you kidding me?? I say, “don’t let the door hit you in the ass”. Have these people ever REALLY listened to Pink Floyd/Roger Waters? I’ve known he/they are political since I was 11 years old. Have they ever bothered to really read the lyrics, or pay attention to the stories in those songs? It’s just amazing that these folks are so up in arms about something that Pink Floyd and Roger Waters has always done. Maybe they should actually really listen to Dark Side of the Moon/The Wall.
Roger. Just a dude born in Buffalo New York now living in Phoenix Az sending you love and appreciation for how your lyrics have affected me and my spiritual journey
This has more views than the original song. Roger sure knows how to market the relevant material.
Guitars at the beginning make me crazy whenever i listen this MASTERPIECE
I immediately get goosebumps all over when I hear a Pink Floyd song start. Whether it be live, on the radio or on youtube. :) LOVE THEM, LOVE ROGER!
It is 😊❤🎶🤘🎸🎸🎸
I like the last line that nobody needs subtitles for.
God Save the Eternal Britain. Always Alive. Argentinians owe our Independence to the UK.
