  • Hey! can you see the guy with glasses (right) in the minute 1:15 ? Well, that's me... I remember waiting 14 hours that day to see Roger, I didn't eat, I didn't pee and I was dehydrating ... And yet, that was the best night of my life.

      @clubdoc@clubdoc7 жыл бұрын
    • The right live in a carefully constructed delusional bubble that is dependent on untrue absolutes. Any introduction of nuance, tolerance or paradox threatens the rigid personal and subcultural persona. It's the same reactionary fear that has motivated the rise of terrorism in rigid middle east fascists. A new movement is organizing to counter this stubborn entrenchment of the outdated patriarchy. Although it's being expressed in gender, it's really world view. Love trumps hate.

  • Many people are saying leave politics out of music, but Roger Waters has a audience of millions of people around the world & he is doing his best to fight the U.S war machine. I am a 70 year old Vietnam vet & I thank the people of that era who took to the street & the musicians who used their voice at that time to stop the 'Masters of War'. If you don't like what Roger Waters has to say, then go to a Ted Nugent or some country music concert. Keep up the great work & the great music Roger, we love you.

    • My dad was a WWII vet, mortor crew. Tried for years growing up to get war stories out of him. To his credit he was against romanticizing anything about the war and didn't tell us anything about the war until the end of his life. He died in 2005 and admired Waters's music. If he had meet him, he would have been proud to shake his hand.

    • Loving what he(Roger Waters) has done here..... Giving the people a voice. This event pretty much sums up the feelings of the people around the world. Obviously, world leaders are forced to play nice in order to strike deals that benefit those they represent, but this event exemplifies the feelings of the every day people around the world. Tragically, Trumps continuing position in power also exemplifies the level of indifference and total lack of regard that the(majority of the) privileged feel for minorities and the disadvantaged in the US as well as their neighbors around the world.;.. It's sickening to come to realize that Trumps own bigoted words(not the media.... HIS OWN WORDS) are taken in with such a level of indifference to those he means to disadvantage... I'm pretty sure that these are the "people of the world"(the indifferent) that the Bible warns us about(being).

    • More relevant? Not a chance. I saw the original PF, Roger Waters, Davis Gilmour, BritFloyd, and Australian Pink Floyd. Best to worst: 1) Pink Floyd. 2) David Gilmour, 3) Brit Floyd, 4) Roger Waters 5) Australian PF. Original PF played recent PF songs mixed with their classics. The other four played essentially the same set of PF classics. Gilmour's guitars solos can't be replaced because every guitarist is unique, especially Gilmour. Bas is a background rhythm instrument, making it the easiest to replace. As for vocals, Gilmour's voice is much more controlled and melodic. Waters does a lot of screaming/shouting.

    • I agree.There is a maxim in musical fashions which is it is not what it is.. but 'when' it is. Waters is the most committed to the creativity of the artist and it should be noted that he transcends his inabilities when compared to skilled musicians with guts and more determinationthan anyone I know. His is a lingua franca for everyman and for moments of real crisis.

It was very relevant back then when you read the history of politics of the U.K. I really hate when people treat celebs as they 'walk on water' and twist things to suit them. • For the life of my I can't understand how you can thoroughly enjoy this concert if you have your stupid phone in your hand the whole time recording everything. I guess I'm old fashioned but I prefer to soak in the atmosphere and just watch the show.

    • saw pink floyd in the 70's. LSDark Side of the Moon came out. they had a giant rocket sparks flying zoom down from the rafters of the Boston Garden and crash with mega explosion on the stage. not too shabby. No one had a cell phone... ;-) back then we had Nixon in the WH

  • I love it when I go to a Roger Waters show…and all these right-wing-nuts walk out because of the imagery and powerful anti corporate/establishment messages in his music. I hate to say it, but it is kind of amusing when you see the light bulb come on 😮and they walk out in a huff. Some people say “He shouldn’t be so political!” Are you kidding me?? I say, “don’t let the door hit you in the ass”. Have these people ever REALLY listened to Pink Floyd/Roger Waters? I’ve known he/they are political since I was 11 years old. Have they ever bothered to really read the lyrics, or pay attention to the stories in those songs? It’s just amazing that these folks are so up in arms about something that Pink Floyd and Roger Waters has always done. Maybe they should actually really listen to Dark Side of the Moon/The Wall.
