Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

Hey Sir, I got a couple of years on you. And, I got to see LZ in Vancouver in 1973. It was incredible. And I have loved them from the day I heard them. Yah, blessed, you have the word right. Be safe out there friend, things are getting freaky. (or frisky?) LZ is our happy place. When rock and roll was just good, and you could trust your government. Respect from a Canadian Forces veteran.

This is possibly the best version ever recorded of Kashmir (IMO). So heavy!
I agree ❤🇸🇪
Not the drums. In the original version, John Bonham is slightly and intentionally a bit more off compared to the guitar, like an echo but not a reflection. Of course, as you said, it is your opinion.
This is by far the best version of Kashmir ever played. Sounds so incredibly good.
Wherever John Bonham is, he would be proud to see that his son Jason is playing drums with his uncles, Robert, Jimmy and John Paul. Thanks John for being the best drummer of rock and music.
Perhaps his greatest competitor for the title Greatest Drummer in rock, Neil Peart of Rush, died this day. What a loss both of them are.

When I was nine years old my dad and uncle took me to see Jimmy, Paige and Robert Plant on the no Courter tour in Kansas City. BesorgterSimsSpieler yeah echo, so what
Ray DeSantis ur so right
Best this song ever played
Ray DeSantis He sounds pretty decent on Kashmir, but most songs he can no longer sing in the original key and are a tuned down (some songs it works for but others lose their mojo). Heck, by 1973 he could no longer hit the high notes on most nights for Stairway, Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Immigrant Song, Over The Hills etc. No warm ups, constant touring, smoking and drugs all killed his top range. I think the no warm ups was the worst, as it may be why he had nodes on his vocal chords. Smoking usually seems to be more gradual in it's damage.
Even after 50 years, I can say this ; my all time favorite group and song! At 73 y/o, it still gives me a high and takes me back to the 70's.

FENTON And the heavy eastern music influence thingy at the end of the shout I love that moment
He's saying that scream is influenced by the middle east. Hence the name Kashmir .
The Security Guard Kashmir is in north africa
no Kashmir is between india and pakistan bro....
you should learn geography before telling someone who was born in the middle east where Kashmir is. .
Is JPJ not or at least one of the best musicians in history? His adept use of various instruments leaves me baffled every time
If this is what it is like in old age, in their prime they must have been incredible.
I’m 75 years old and love this song as much today as when it debuted 🎉
65 here and I know what you mean.
@@rays7005 In the middle and it makes me feel young!
outstanding you old fucker I'd love to meet you and hang out. I'm in Cullman Alabama. look me up.
Sr. Ken mismo concepto de su comentario tengo 67 años.
I'm 60. I was privileged enough to see Led Zep live way back in 1980 in Germany They were as amazing as when I saw Pink Floyd 'The Wall' live. They dont make Rock bands like these anymore!!
You can tall Jason has endless respect for the band, the music, and his dad.
I think he's feeling his dad is right next to him. He is an amazing drummer.
I'ms sure the band itself loves him playing drums, it must give them strength of heart as well.
He was and is their biggest fan
Yes so much talent so much to live up to, but the spirit of his Dad was with him and he knew it
Jason totally nailed it.
There has never been and never will be a better band.
Brilliant...Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin. My favorite of all time !!!
Most people don’t realize that John Paul Jones is one of the main reasons behind the massive sound behind this song! He’s creating a huge wall of sound from those two keyboards he’s playing!
Two keyboards and a full base pedals.
@@kevincoulter3743 That also.
i agree! every f'in part of this song makes it sound huge. tho my favorite part is the polyrhythm between the drums and the melody
Thank You John Paul Jones on thee piano....Love this man
John Paul "the conductor" Jones
I am SHOCKED Robert Plant still sounded this good after all these years. Absolutely legendary singer, hands down one of the greatest voices in rock music history!
Exactly
The greatest no ones ever touched him
Without a doubt, the best voice of our time. May it live on forevermore …
20 Million tried to get tickets to this 2007 concert!
I'd be highly surprised if this isn't some kind of CD quality rehash vs a live performance
Watching legends, there was no one like them and probably never will be
The best ever ever !!-such a superb track!!!! Northing can compare- RP Voice range ,The music,so unique!! I just love love love THIS version of KASHMIR!!!! Oh my Gosh!!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💜💙💙💙💙💙💙
Must be such an honour to take the place of your Dad in such an epic band.
Phil Toseland I agree with your comment.
you bet!
His dream come true. And Bonzo is certainly smiling and so proud of his boy
Yes!
Well said! And he has done an incredible job!
Nowadays, John Bonham sits high above the Earth Plane, observing his brothers, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page playing with his beloved son, Jason Bonham, taking his place. What more could a Father give to his son?
Nowadays? This was one-off event, one and done in 2007. I don't think they've played together since.
rodentcafeteria and?.........
Kevin Moran hahaha, a better right foot? Yeah? How is your right foot?? I haven't seen it anywhere on KZhead or anywhere else? If Jason's right foot is not as loud as John's that has got fuck all to do with Jason. It is the fault of any one of the following....the sound man, KZhead, the recording engineer or your sound system, headphones or your actual ears! Love and Peace and Zeppelin.
a son never truly wants to be as good has his hero dad. you must admit this has to be incredibly emotional to Jason to have this chance to wear his dad's shoes.
Kevin Moran fuck off, what the fuck do you know about sound production?
My all time favorite rock song since it first released. These guys were pure magic.
This band was literally light years ahead of their time
Bonham was so so great that literally only his son is the only person on earth who could fit shoes that big!! Amazing work.
John Rose Is that his son ?
@@mickelimbo yes, jason bonham!! Doing his dad proud! A real talent in his own right too. The perfect addition to the group!
That's BADASS!!!
How true, he did a fantastic job.
People think I'm nuts when I say Jason sounds like his dad. After all he's "just" the drummer. If they only understood.
Plant is flawless here.
holly andrews .. plant.. evermore the traveler of time and space. God speed, Bonzo. You are missed.
He gave his very best effort for sure...he didn't quite have the range of 40 years ago when I saw them in '77 but he was damn fine.
Still sounds good after 40 years
So good.
Robert plant stopped doing drugs a long time ago that is why his voice still sounds magnificent. He said in an interview he needed to stop because it was hurting his voice. I'm glad he did not just because of just keeping his voice. But because I care about him as a person. I'm glad he has lived as long as he has.
I'm 71 on Fri and i play led Zeppelin everyday ❤
1000 years from now, we're all dust and bones, this song will still be played, we're all immortalized with music
My kids from time to time will pull from wat they listen to just to listen to some of the music I grew up on like I tell them we had real music 🎶 😂🖤💛🖤💛
The greatest rock n roll band ever ever in history
Tied with Pink Floyd
Yeah, it 's so true!!!!!
That's right!! Home boy!!!!
Aaron Wilson no doubt man..
Example of Golden number... All Is perfect.....
