Lyrics:
Black (Black, black, black, black) and blue (Blue, blue, blue, blue)
And who knows which is which and who is who
Up (Up, up, up, up, up) and down (Down, down, down, down)
And in the end it's only round and round, and round
"Haven't you heard it's a battle of words?"
The poster bearer cried
"Listen, son," said the man with the gun
"There's room for you inside"

Knowing that they made up and went on to do their own things is amazing and probably one of the best endings Pink Floyd could have gotten knowing how separated they got. It will only get worse because of greed and their power driven madness for power.Politicians are just the tools of the big CEO's and their companies.A lot of Politicians around the world look with envy at America where a lot of the workers have no rights. No job, no house,no health care. It's as if we have let the money makers set the rules and how we should live within their boundaries. Americans may say that they are the greatest country in the world, that's because they have been told that for so long. If music be the tool of the working class, then long live Roger Waters and Pink Floyd.

And I often ask myself what the people who survived World War II thought when it was revealed to them that Hitler had 6 million innocent Jewish people murdered. And then later, when the people of the free world learned that Stalin had an estimated 9 million innocent Jewish people murdered. Add to that all of the innocent people killed on both sides during that span of years, along with the fighting men and women who died on both sides.

  • Saw Roger and the band live @ Costa Rica in 2018. During this particular performance of Us + Them, I remember being in tears, completely blown out by it, and at some point I looked at the stranger to my right, who also in tears, and we both said at the same time: "unbelievable". Such an emotional and moving piece of art. Such timeless music.

  • To everyone that is asking for David and Roger to reunite, I don't think it's ever going to happen. Both geniuses of their own kind and I'm grateful to have grown up with their music but that's history and it will always be there for us to enjoy for the rest of our lives. I don't think anything new will come from David but I hope we will see/hear more from Roger. I saw Us & Them when it came to Melbourne and that's the best concert I have and probably will ever experience. He is a musical genius, nothing else compares to what he has achieved. To me, Pink Floyd ended when Roger left, the albums they did without him are fantastic but soul-less, a good song here and there but certainly not concept albums or masterpieces.
