I checked into a hostel in London one time and when I walked out the side door I looked up and realized I was right next to this factory. One of the most surreal moments of my life.
If you’re listening to this you’re a legend, because only legends can appreciate this song.
The guitar work is sublime, the lyrics are some of their best. This album is so good and timeless, top shelf.
"all alone dying of cancer" ... where do I go from here? At least I have the greatest music to listen to while I can...
The guitar intro literally conjures an image of a dog running for miles and miles. Gilmour is an artist who paints images in music. Amazing, just amazing...
A masterpiece without exaggeration. This in my opinion is the best piece of music Pink Floyd composed.
I was just listening to this while smoking a cigarette out my bedroom window and at the calm part when the dogs are barking in the background the biggest fox I have ever seen walked out from behind a car, trotted away down the street, and when he was about to leave my view he cocked his head back and stared directly at me for like 10 seconds and then continued on and faded away down the road.
The older I get, the more this album becomes my favorite of the Pink Floyd catalog.
This song literally sounds like the cover art for the album.
When a song is this long it ceases to be a song and becomes a journey
"And when you lose control...you'll reap the harvest you have sown"
Newer Pink Floyd fan. Discovered this song last year. It hits particularly hard right now. It seems that PF is like that the older you get.
This , ladies and gents . Show you all how criminally underrated nick mason is as a drummer
I can't imagine my life without Animals, and especially without this song. Bitter, beautiful and cruel as life can be.
The soloes in this song are forever stuck in my head, dragged out and thrown around just amazing wowwowwow
There are probably 4-5 songs that cycle through as being my favorite Pink Floyd songs. This is definitely one of them.
This song belongs to us, who listen. May we never lose it.
What an impact this album had on a 15-year-old kid in 1978 and now 45 years later I'm still listening to this masterpiece.
Love "Dogs" and the entire "Animals" album so much. Bought my first copy on 8-track in the spring of '77 when I had just turned 16. Used to love cranking it up after school and toking up with it like I am doing right now at age 63. Man I love this tune. 😎👍
When I was ten years old, I listened to this album with headphones and in the dark. Anticipating the next guitar lead. At 57 years old, I still love this song. I love the music. It is an inspiration for me when I play guitar, not the only one, but it is inspiring 🎸
