The Cloud II wireless only connects to the included USB transmittter and does NOT have Bluetooth. Compared to the wired Cloud II, this device basically is just less quiet, has hissing feedback, and is a hassle to EQ.

Thanks for mentioning the hissing.. That's one thing I needed to know!

Good job! Thank you!!
Great Review!
I'm still, to this day, using my wireless Playstation branded headset from the ps3!! LOL It is in its 15TH YEAR of use. The only issue I have with it anymore is battery life and the mic finally broke off last week (which I fixed with crazy glue) but still works perfectly in terms of sound quality. Funny enough, the mic quality is better than the majority of my friends' wired mics and I always give them a hard time because they paid insane amounts of money for theirs!! haha

@@tiredofthebullshiti think they’re talking about the Sony Playstation Gold headset , they look like Beats
great review
I've had a HyperX Cloud II Wired for I swear over 4 years and it's never let me down. Still works perfectly. I lost the mic though and I'm debating buying a new head set but I'm struggling to find anything I'd rather over it. I thought maybe the wireless version could be the "upgrade" I was going for but I think I'm just going to get another wired version. Such a good headset for it's price I feel. I can hear footsteps so well in all my fps games. It hasn't even broken.. I could even just google the mic attachment but I think a fresh look would be nice.
You are the best on youtube!!....i sub you from iraq🇮🇶❤️
Your reviews are crazy good! Thanks for this :D I love my Cloud 2 wireless, its divine for FPS but the mic sounds like shit for me, so im trying to find a better option without giving up on that perfect Valorant FPS sounds I need from the HyperX. Tested Logitech Pro X today and was not happy with it when it comes to FPS, but the mic was pretty good.
Thanks! Yeah it's a tough situation - of all the headsets I've tested I also think the Logitech G Pro X has the best mic but the actual headphone audio isn't that good. If you're playing at a desk I would definitely try to get a separate mic and a boom arm. Mine is the Samson Q2U with a Luling Arts stand. It's cheaper than another headset, you get to keep the Cloud II Wireless sound, and everyone on the other end will appreciate your mic quality.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews i do have an XLR Røde podmic, but Windows struggles to support it through Davinci Resolve and Shadowplay, the mic will cut out 70% of the time, its horrible :o Googled it and its a known issue. Only OBS can handle it. For every piece i own to fix something i get 5 new issues xD
Also i have a 3 monitor setup, so finding a good spot for a boomarm without blocking anything is a pain :(
@@LanaNoMana Ahh I see. One other device that caught my interest but I didn't buy yet was the Corsair HS80. The mic sounded good from the sample I heard kzhead.info/sun/YJdpdJxuhH2lnas/bejne.html (near the end). But I can't really speak to anything else about it since I don't have it myself yet. If you're able to test the Corsair HS80 or Arctis 5/7 in store, those might be good options also. From what I've heard, the mic quality goes HS80 > Pro X > Arctis 5.
@@LanaNoMana Modmic wireless is a great option
I've been reading your reviews and viewing your videos and I love your deep insights and how unbiased you seem when pointing the strengths and weaknesses of each product. from what I gathered from your reviews, the wired "HyperX Cloud Alpha" (without surround) seems to be the the one of the best mid-price headsets in terms of sound quality and zero latency, am I right? asking here because I'm about to pick one once I find a promo and your opinion is really welcome :) thanks
Thanks, I buy all my products myself so I don't have to shill anything.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviewsI am debating a few headsets and if you don't mind I would like your opinion. Its Strange my old cloud 2s have waaay better sound quality than the new ones i bought the other day even with switching between sound cards and updating drivers.
Great review, as always. May I ask, when (month/year) did you buy wired Cloud II? Some people say that after HP bought HyperX, their quality became worse

Great informative video again.I look for a new headset for months and i got these options: Razer Kraken 33, Kraken X USB/All Platform both 47, Steelseries Arctis1 52,Roccat Elo X Stereo50. Which one do you think is the best for everyday use mostly for KZhead and Discord calls on PC? Thank You for your respond.:)
Unfortunately I've never used the Roccat or the Arctis 1. Only the Arctis 5, 7, and Prime. Have used both Krakens though. So I can't really speak to the other two but the Kraken is a way better choice than the Kraken X. If you see the BlackShark V2 X under $50 though, I'd get that without question and use some EQ though.
Hey, i love your reviews, i know it's a bit late, I ordered older cloud 2 wireless 7.1 version but they've sent me a DTS version. I contacted several other companies and NOT a single one in my country sells the 7.1 older version that is supposed to have much better surround but does not support equalizer. Do you think it is worth returning them or keeping 'em? And maybe there are now other headsets much better for same price? I used wired cloud 2s but they broke and I felt in love with them and was always dreaming of wireless ones :/ WDID?
Imo the virtual surround is a trashy gimmick even on the older one, so I don't think it's worth the bother to try to return for that specifically.
Really a good review, I like your videos, and I subscribed of course 😊,I have a question though, I see you got the cloud 2 (Kingston version),do you think the HP version of cloud 2 is the same headset?heard a lot people complain about sound quality and stuff, a really need your opinion here, thnx 👍
I've heard of this also, but I can't confirm myself. I'd have to buy another one and hope it's the newer model to compare.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews no one did this,so I think it would be a very INTERESTING review, thnx for the answer and keep up the good work!
Nice review, I was just trying to decide wich one should I buy to play csgo, and after the video I dont think wireless will be my choice
Dude for warzone u use jack 3.5 or usb ? I dont know this
Hey, great rewiew :) In advance, my Englisch is not good in listening. I can’t decide, which hyper x headset I buy. I would use the headset only for the PS5 and the most important think is, to hear the step from enemies in COD Cold War. Means fps games = shooter such as Cod ? Is the cloud 2 better than the alpha , in a point , to hear the step from enemies. Thank you, I wish you a happy new year
Yeah this is exactly correct. Cloud II is better for Cold War over the Alpha. I played a lot of CW with them.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews hey thanks :) I buy it today is very nice. I have a question, I hear on the internet that the jack connection is better as the 7.1 soundcard for fps games. But I would like use the soundcard ,because have a lot benefits , for example mute my micro. When I use the soundcard, but not activated the 7.1 surround sound ,is the sound such as the jack connection ? And can you help me, how I can use the soundcard for the Ps5 Thanks for your help
Thanks for the video. I am a Stinger Core user, looking for an upgrade, it's a shame Cloud 2 only can be controlled with that usb thing :( My options are: Cloud 2 (100 usd) / Cloud alpha (75 usd)
I am so confused by this review. Thankful as well of course, because you did a great job explaining everything. But what confuses me is my perception of these two headsets, since I own them both. And I am someone, who has NO IDEA, when it comes to headsets and sound quality. So to me they sound really, really, reaaaally good. And what confuses me is that I can't even imagine how good "actually good options" would sound like. Can you recommend a headset, which also has a good mic, which could be purely used to record audio commentary on PS5 playthroughs? I tested both mics and to me they sound... okay? Even I can tell that it's just a good sounding headset mic, but not something a real mic could pull off. The mic on the wired version sounds a little bit more clean to me. I haven't tried the wireless version with that sound card you mentioned. Maybe that would improve the quality of the mic.
Yeah it makes sense, you can only really judge a headset by having something else to directly compare it to. So if you don't, then it's the best by default. Anyway, the Corsair HS80 is the only consumer headset I've seen with a good mic. I don't own it myself, but I've listened to mic tests and it sound better than some people's dedicated mics.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Thanks! I'll look into the Corsair HS80!
pc37x is a great headset
Could pass your EQ range to cloud II ? FPS games, apex etc
I was having problem considering which one should I get.. Wired or wireless cloud 2. Your review was amazing. I've never used any good headset and all I need is just comfort and good for fps games. Seems like cloud 2 wired for me then
Definitely, wired Cloud II is legit.

Could you review the Corsair HS80? I would love to know what you think about them.
At some point I will, but not until next year. Maxed out my budget 🙃
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews That's fine, I'll wait. Thanks for answering.
hey, thanks for the video. I have a question. currently I have hyperX cloud aplha (already 4 years) and is it worth upgrading to hyperx cloud ii wirless? I bought an Arctis 7p + for a test, but unfortunately the build quality and sound do not stand next to the hyperX Alpha. any suggestions? i only use headphones for PS5. Thank you and best regards
The Cloud 2 Wireless won't be an upgrade. If you need the wireless functionality it works, but it won't sound as good as the Alpha. An upgrade in sound quality in my opinion is the Astro A50, but I think the price is overkill, the build isn't as good, and you might not like the padding without the mod kit. I'd test them in-store before even considering them. Also, you need an HDMI adapter with the A50 for PS5 to get the game-chat mixer to work.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews thank you so much for the suggestion but this option is a bit too much. what if I gave up wireless connectivity? then I would connect the headphones to the controller.
Which one is better for Pubg Mobile Cloud 2 pro wired headset or Cloud Alpha Pro wired stereo gaming headset in terms of sound?
Just got mine, as my wired cloud 2 broke. I've been playing two valorant games now, and i can't seem to toggle off 7.1 using the powerbutton tap? It's really frustrating since the ingame sound on valorant with surround it so bad, i barely can't make out where people are stepping from nor which way the abilities comes from. Any idea how to change to stereo sound? Can't choose configure speaker to change from 7.1 to stereo either.. This was a letdown on else a great headset. And in ngenutity i got a tick for DTS and not 7.1 as you had.. Thanks in advance :)
I think they updated the Cloud II wireless to have a new virtual surround sound implementation, but I don't know exactly how it works in the newer model.
Hey. I was thinking about buying the hyperx alpha s since my blackshark v2 started having crackling and In general I want a new headset is the hyperx alpha s better than the razer blackshark v2 or if it's not please recommend me something that is if you can.
The Alpha S is definitely better than the BlackShark V2, but its weakness is you need third party EQ software since HyperX doesn't provide any. The best headset I've reviewed so far is the Astro A40 so if you have the cash I'd get that.
Which one would you get if they were the same price?
I currently have a cloud stinger, but it has no problems, and I found a promotion in my country about Cloud Alpha. Do you think it's worth switching from Headset, from Cloud Stinger to Cloud Alpha? Does it change a lot?
Yeah the Alpha is pretty much better in every way and there are a ton of sales on it now.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Thanks for helping !!! Your youtube channel is very good! Keeps! Hugs from Brazil!

So what the option for a wireless headset Im using cloud 2 since 3 years and hearing footsteps all what i care about and im thinking of getting a wirless one What do you recommend ?
And i don't use the mic so i don't care about mic quality
can cloud 2 wireless connected to iphone, ipad, macbook? how? thanks bro...subs from indonesia...
Would you put the soundcard in the ps4 or you recommended without just aux?
It's a trade off. The soundcard makes the headphone audio slightly louder and lets you control the volume, but it muffles the mic.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews in conclusion, what would you recommend for ps4 player, wired or wireless? (I play most of the the r6 -> sound important). Thx for your answers
@@noztras If sound is most important, wired.
I have a question, ok not like a question a suggestion the thing is That I want to buy a headset and a dedicated mic and I can't really decide in which headset I want
This depends on your budget and what system you're playing on. If you're playing on PC and you just want the best quality you can get the Astro A40 and use an SM7B as your mic. On console (or on a budget), you might want to just use the Samson Q2U mic since it's cheaper and plug-and-play so you don't need an audio interface.
Just want to ask, I bought the cloud alphas online for 75 dollars. Was that a good deal?
Yeah that's a great find, cheaper than I got mine!
Is the cloud alpha s the best out of the normal alpha In sound quality ? I'm asking cuz I have a shop in my country that sells it at the same price as the normal alphas Note: I have razer usb card from my razer blackshark v2 I've been thinking will it work with the alpha/alpha s cuz I'm pretty sure in one in your vids you said you eq'd them and does the razer usb make a difference in sound or something other than in eq
Im asking the same
How are you guys both asking the same question that was answered in the vid? Headphone audio quality is the same with or without a USB sound card, even if you're using different brands. Some cards like Razer just let you change the EQ and will compress the mic.
I'm sorry if Im kinda stupid but what about the first question

@@chasen432 sound quality is exactly the same. I kept my old wired ones as backup (without the jack that broke) and I can’t tell the difference in terms of quality. There is, however, a volume difference. Wired ones are much quieter. Even then, though, I never go above 20% volume on either of them so it’s not a dealbreaker for me. @@chasen432 honeslty again as a non audiophile, the cloud II’s are good IMO. You won’t be upset with them, but I’m saying that with no experience with the other headsets on the market besides some old Logitechs that become more duct tape than plastic after a year. I will say, though, wireless can have some factory malfunctions that you will want to jump on early on/before warranty expires, mine will make crackling noises or lose sound for like 3 seconds from time to time, and I never bothered to turn them back in or diagnose the issue because I’m not picky enough. Some of these issues are known to be a matter of driver updates for fixing, though. At the end of the day, you’ll be happy with either one that you pick.
@@chasen432 also, I made a typo, the wireless ones are quieter than the wired ones. Again, I don’t like my stuff loud so they both stay below like 20% volume and I’m happy.
