PC is limited by it's CPU GPU architecture, consoles already have it beat in some aspects. The modular nature of PC's create limitations for the transfer rate of data within the system. The architecture on both systems are different and have their strengths and weaknesses. For the price point, the PS5 is perhaps the best value for money gaming system since the PlayStation 2.

RTX IO, once developers adopting directstorage next year, will allow both faster load times and realtime asset streaming- just like the ps5, so no limitation here. PCs can have better potential performance, value and modularity. the consoles' advantages lie in their ease of use and exclusive games

3080 is only few fps above then 60 fps in 4k. the 3070 is like 40 fps in 4k- very low as you see in the chart that he shown. the 3090 is not fot you folk! it is for proffesinals, and will cost like 1500 usd, good deal with it. but it easly to play your mind with good marketing.

you now that 3000 series isnt that fast considering that 3090 is for proffesionals and is titan, so not relevent also who will pay 1500 usd for it???. so thier top is 3080 that is only 20%-30% faster then 2080ti, not a huge improvment, and instead of playing at 4k 30 fps, you will play it 4k 40 fps not a big improvement. and what about 3070, is that it will perform same as 2080ti, even less better- you see in the chart that they are close, stilll not a big thing.

What's harder and more complex to design? A CPU or GPU? I'm just wondering what things look like on a development side with CPUs and GPUs and how the relationship between intel and nvidia might be or how the struggles differ between the CPU and GPU for AMD?

The only problem with Marbles at Night is the physics because rotating/turning the 'table' doesn't take into account inertia so it looks unrealistic. Otherwise it looks flawless

I am fairly happy with 1070, able to play full time 4K for about 30 fps on mostly high settings runs MS flight simulator 2020 at 1080p on ULTRA settings. Then I pre-ordered the Cyberpunk 2077, the light and reflections is beyond conventional game renderings...

@@SatsJava Probably 1080p. My 2060 only gets 35fps on ultra in 1080p, the 2080 probably wouldn’t come close to 70fps in 4k.

What is so hard to understand by "price competition"? I'm not talking about performance race, the top 5% gamers who spend 3k every two years to build a pc, i'm talking about the majority of customers who spent 400-500 for a decent 1440p experience for the next 5 years, i'm talking about the budget gaming niche which obviously go for a standard ryzen 3600, 1660 or 5700 combo. Without the rise of AMD they would never go below 900 for such cards. And of course only the 5% can afford a 360hz or a 8k experience
