(the commander will say "Ammo hit, we lost some ammo but at least it didn't explode" when your ammo storage gets disabled, but sometimes it's a crit and he gets interrupted by the sound of your ammo exploding)

Used to play some WoT awhile back, and as a bit of a WW2 enthusiast, I really enjoyed it, especially the tanks. I'm a bit triggered because I'm an Artillery main, but it's definitely not for everybody. I personally enjoyed it more than the other tank types.

People assume China is the most powerful militarily since they have millions of active service members but ignore the fact that those "troops" are barely trained enough to read a map and how to generally load a gun. Speaking of guns, China can barely afford to even arm a small percentage of their existing ground forces. America has the best trained and armed military force and a literal ton of spare resources and weapons/troops. Plus the US has been the only force to actually have combat experience since WW2 ended other than our allies who fought in Iraq beside us.
why train your troops when you can overwhelm the enemy... Thats how you win wars.

Ivan Buncic that was ww2 mentality. ISIS out numbered us forces but technology > numbers. If you don't believe this just look up the effects of an a-10 nose cannon on tanks and ISIS troops. Look up the effects of US designed smart bombs able to sweep a mile long target area in one go. Stealth fighters are non-counterable in air to air fights and they can hit targets they don't even see. Basically, the US airforce and joint operations air divisions are able to destroy whole armies alone, if they have the clearance to do so. The ground forces have proven themselves against all combatants time and again, only to receive casualties from IEDs. The armored divisions are the most quick to assemble and supply and deploy to any region in the world in order to bolster US ground forces. The special operations forces are the most combat experienced forces in the world with a large degree of success in their missions. Compare that to throwing troops at the enemy. You just end up with a lot of dead troops for a bad battle strategy in the 21st century. I didn't even mention the most powerful Navy in the world and the quick deployment of troops. These things just scratch the surface of the US military's capability against our enemies. China is a joke in comparison.
Artillery is the Leader/Commander of everyone in organized play though. because yno, you have a 3D Tac Map so you know where everything your team knows about is and can fire off location data. and see undetected Enemies if you catch it at just the right moment. so has the most complicated job because you need to memorize the angles of every square Meter of terrain to hit Accurately while also relaying information between everyone AND searching for not yet detected targets.

Heres a thing about ammunition: ACPR shells are really expensive (around 1k credits per shell) but they do a living shit ton of damage if you penetrate the enemy armor
