People like to point out compubox stats showing Castillo outlanding Mayweather by a close margin but if you simply count the rounds that Castillo won it would be difficult to find 7 rounds to give him. All 3 judges felt Mayweather won rounds 1-4, including rounds 8, and 10. All three judges agreed Castillo won rounds 6, and 7 which were huge rounds for him. That leaves rounds 5, 9, 11, and 12 as close rounds that Castillo needed to clearly win just to get a draw which he didn't do. Sorry 🤷🏾♂️.

Floyd landed more punches and evade most of castillo's punches as well. It's very clear that floyd bit him. Not by much but he bit him anyways. This is boxing. This was not a close fight at all...here's how I scored it. 1) M 2) M 3) M 4) M close round 5) M close round 6) C 7) C 8) M 10-8 9) M 10) 9-9 11) M 12) C 116 -110 ....Mayweather Even if you gave rounds 4) & 5) and somehow gave another round to Castillo, Mayweather still won the fight on points as he landed more scoring shots.. The only thing that Castillo did well, was not show his frustration. Both fighters had great stamina.

But even with Me giving Floyd a 2 point round when they took a point from Castillo, and a even round when they took a point from Floyd, I still had Castillo winning by 2 points! Floyd definitely lost this fight unofficially, but the Judges didn’t think so, that’s why he ended his career undefeated, but Castillo did more than enough to win the fight. Just listen to Floyd in the post fight interview, making excuses in a “Win”. He knew he lost that fight as well.

I watched this fight live on HBO and thought Floyd lost the fight then and I've rewatched it and definitely think Floyd lost the fight. Castillo should have won this fight. I also watched the rematch live on HBO as well and Floyd most definitely won the rematch. Should have been 1-1 and possibly a trilogy match. But so goes boxing.

The first Maidana fight at least was good. But you know what? After what happen today in the Ryan Garcia-Devin Haney fight, I have understood how difficult it is to win always. As a challenger, you have to take the championship from the champion. So if the winner of this fight is constantly debated, the challenger may not have done enough to convincingly "take" the belt from the champion, so to speak. Although the challenger may have edged ahead in points. Kind of like in baseball; if it's too close to calll, the tie goes to the runner. (Is that how you use semicolons?)

This fight could have gone either way, it was pretty close. But, the scores are nuts. Also, if a contender is supposed to take the championship from the champ, that simply did not happen. Terrible scoring. How they got 115-111 and 116-111 just makes no sense to me.
