    • Nothing new here, that is Sabalenka. It would be interesting to hear the history of the Saba Lenka roar. When did it start, how did it sound when it first began? Has there been a match where it reached a peak, or is that yet to come? Anyway, long story short, it is not going to be curtailed or stopped, and every player at the other end of the court just deals with it.

  • I’m from Belarus and I do follow Saba’s career , but I have to admit - that noise is obnoxious and beyond borderline distracting. @lilydog1000@lilydog1000Ай бұрын
    • Your point is very correct. Some people don't like to hear grunting or screaming, but she has a scream like a police siren going off into the distance and it's still going when her opponent is hitting the ball. This is not at all fair as she is being aggressive towards her opponents while they hit the ball. The WTA don't have the gumption to penalize her for it because she's one of their darlings. If she were a 500 ranked player perhaps they'd do something. It's a pity because she comes across as a nice person in interviews and obviously has a great game. Letting out air when hitting a shot helps to relax the muscles and so is justified. What is not justified is how she does it.

I think the physical part is still the issue as she mentioned after the match vs Svitolina, she needs to be stronger and have more stamina given her style of game

    • Watched this match in full with all the attention on the details. Emma's shot selection was very good except for maybe a few you could count on the fingers of one hand, some of those due to the pace of the ball coming to her. She was just overwhelmed by the power of Sabalenka's shots.

    • @@LadyMul I am a man who is NOT gay and I don't have a man bun - I don't hug other men, it's ridiculous. I realise that in 'the land of the brave' even parents are afraid to hug their children for fear that a passer-by might mistake it for child abuse and report them to the police. There is a place called Europe.... no, it is NOT part of the USA, where hugging is important and women who know each other hug often.... some even kiss😮😮- kids are always hugged and kissed.

  • Sabalenka is so unstable emotionally, she wins the first set quite easily, playing good tennis. Then the second set comes, she is still winning but a few unforced errors are enough to derail her, she starts getting upset and the unforced errors count skyrocket. She is lucky to have won that second set...Emma had very good opportunities to break serve but couldn't capitalize.

    @teoc8124@teoc8124Ай бұрын
  • Raducanu seems to continue to struggle to gain pace and dictating points o.O. Sabalenka gifted her quite a bit in that second set and I thought they would at least go to 3 sets.
