  • This is my favorite mouse (out of many) and I think you are spot on with this review. I have 18x10.5cm hands and it's perfect for me with my palm (not full palm) type of grip but it took quite a while to get used to bec I was used to bigger ergo mice like the DA, Mionix Naos and MX518 at the time. No other mouse gives the same type of consistency in my aim, the only downside is that Zowie sure is taking their time with the wireless release and the coating gets quite sticky over time forcing me to clean my mouse quite often. Flick shots are especially good on this mouse and I think it's bec of the of the perfect curvature on the sides, something Razer failed miserably with the DAV3 and it's much flatter right side imo. And thanks to the relatively lower back of the mouse I also get a good amount of freedom when vertically aiming, while it still provides enough stability for me. Too much palm contact nerfs my aim significantly and makes it harder to tighten my grip when needed for extra control. Closest mouse to dethrone the EC2 for me is the MM731 and somehow my used copy that I bought off mousemarket has better build quality than my DAV3 had (which I returned, bec of not liking the shape, slight side flex and it also felt very hollow) despite being made by Coolermaster. I gotta say the Aria is quite good too but the shorter lenghth and lack off palm support makes me prefer the G203/Gpro Wired when it comes to egg shapes, despite having better side curvature and width for me.

  • I recently sold this mouse cause I just couldn’t use it. I bought it to try palm gripping it but the lack of back volume like you said made it uncomfortable to palm. And then when I would lay my hand completely over it, my fingers would hang over the mouse. The only grip I could use on this mouse was either a weird fingertip or a really aggressive claw with a slight tilt. both of which would fatigue my hands after a while.

    • Same here, my ring finger is too long and overlaps the mouse by quite a bit. i can only claw it..

  • Quando giro a roda de rolagem mais rápido, seja para frente ou para trás, a roda de rolagem clica, alguém tem esse problema?

  • I wish zowie used the EC2-C’s wheel for all their mice. It’s my favorite wheel ever. I main an S2C but the wheel is trash and squeaky.

  • I ended up sticking with the ec2 after watching this and comparing it to the outset. But completely off-topic, would you know what mouse feels closest IN HAND to the microsoft intellimouse 1.1a/wmo? Not the ergonomic one that the ec and deathadder are based off.

    • The Ninjutso Katana is based on the IO1.1a shape, but it has extremely mushy thumb buttons. I also felt that the coating was a bit lackluster given the trapezoidal shape of the mouse. Still, you can get the wireless version pretty cheap these days and it's 59g with a 3370 sensor. The closest thing I've found to a spiritual successor to the WMO (no true clone of the shape exists) is the Vaxee XE, which I got nearly a week ago and have been enjoying greatly. Has that WMO/IO hump feel, plenty of width without being bulky in a way that hurts your aim, and overall works very well as a shape. Review to come.

    • @@Talynen love your reviews and thoughts, I’ll wait for the review then, i looked up the dimensions though and it’s quite a lot shorter than the wmo/1.1a, but it still has similar in hand feel?

    • @@Talynen which zowie mouse would feel closest to in hand feel of the wmo/1.1a in your experience?

      @marcelom18@marcelom18 Жыл бұрын
    • @@marcelom18 the listed dimensions on Vaxee's website are inaccurate, if that's what you saw. it's only like 1mm shorter than the Microsoft mice. The techpowerup review has better measurements. And yes, the hand feel has all the parts I liked about those Microsoft mice. It feels to me like someone said "how do we take these mice and make them better by 2022 standards?" And actually pulled it off.

      @Talynen@Talynen Жыл бұрын
    • @@marcelom18 none of the Zowie mice are particularly close. They're all quite different in various ways. Most similar is probably the S1, despite the much further back hump. ZA the hump is too far back, tall, and rounded. FK is too flared out at the front and too long (FK1+) or too flat and thin FK1/2)

  • Is the travel excessive? Would like it for spam clicking

    @lumidon4361@lumidon4361 Жыл бұрын
    • It's pretty typical Zowie click feel. No loose rattle, but there is a bit of button travel before the switch actuates and then has some post travel you can get into after that if you press hard. They're pretty average overall for spam clicking -- you can certainly use the mouse for it without feeling handicapped by it, but it's not a mouse I would buy specifically for that activity.
