  • Pakistan the ultimate place for recycling unwanted scrap materials. I can only assume these solid rubber tyres are for handcarts and the like and certainly not for fitting to mechanically propelled vehicles. As for health and safety I presume they are terms that have never been heard of in Pakistan but those men work hard for what they get paid, it makes you wonder about their life expectancy

    @barryrudge1576@barryrudge1576 Жыл бұрын
    • Life expectancy will be a little less than in the West...70 years or so...but the quality of health will be pretty dire I think. I also suspect these are for handcrafts etc. Too small for anything road bound.

Then go try and get a job and live for a week with only what you make from working. It's quite an experience to challenge yourself, your cold hungry lonely broke unsatisfied and lonely. You have to fix all that with nothing. It's also where your r4alize how pinned down you are by your own stuff.

  • Hats off to the people that work these jobs but, among many other things, being so close to fast-moving flywheels makes me wince. One wrong move and you're lucky if you just get maimed. I wish the employers would do more to make it safer for these gentlemen.

    • you just got to be careful your self working there and leave your smartphone at home so no distractions , nor is it impossible to sue the company if you get maimed on the job cause you should have looked out better for your self. got some old machines myself and those dont have safety's neither so if i work with them the phone goes off or at least leave it in the house and not with me in the garage so i dont get distracted and i can focus on the machine and what im doing , even my daughter knows this and when she want to speak to me when im working those machines she knows to wait till the machine is off. some times i even ask myself what the world has come to and how would some of the safety measures safe you like the hardhats/knockhats in distribution centers you really think it would save you when a box of say 10 or 20lbs drops on your head from say 15feet up ? or is that more of a false sense of safety then ?

    • @@cornnatron3030 that's your choice, they have to be subjected to work with these machines, what would you do if a truck in front of you wouldn't have it's load strapped down and some rebar flew through your windshield, was it because you didn't anticipate the load coming loose, so it was your fault ?

      @ghahah1403@ghahah1403 Жыл бұрын
    • @@ghahah1403 there are other jobs but these pay more , its not like they are forced they just except the risk associated with the work . be honest whats the point in wearing hardhats and steeltoe's in a containeryard ? you think those help you when a container false on your toes or your head ? or is it to protect you from bumping your head against a container ? well you shouldnt have been that close to something being lifted in the first place. the other day i was at a seed company and the people there had to wear safety goggles while they where watering a test bed of letuce seeds cause of safety ? the eye showers are connected to the same water supply line same as is the tap in the lockerroom and in the cafeteria.
