Man, Unreal Tournament 4 would've looked great on Unreal Engine 5.4....
No.
It's a static game you muppet.
Imagine the modding possibilities. Except...I suppose it wouldn't have been profitable
would be nice to see a new Unreal tournament.
Why would you bring that up?!
In-editor rigging is huge for me!
YEAH!
Its kinda unreal how these new features continue to be invented
Unreal? 😂😂😂 dude we all know thing advance overtime. It not a surprise. Expect to see cameras everywhere and a.i to the point you can't tell.
@@kg888 You didn't get the joke right
@@kg888all that typing to miss the obvious joke. Fix up
malicious AI
@@kg888 you must be fun at parties
This is os gonna make some great trailers for games that don't play the same way.
*sniff* *sniff* Ubisoft 😑
lol
Yeah cuz they have to adapt the features to their tools before they implement it
Exacly, looking more and more like impossible engine. For players.
Check out my game I’m working on it’s a open world jrpg ninja experience, currently it’s just me working on the game.
The Coalition is going to have a field day using these things in Gears 6😮
People might not have LOVED Gears 5, but it's the best looking UE4 game and it was smooth 60 fps in open world which no one accomplished on Xbox besides maybe fortnight?
@@Zoomy222warzone
@@Zoomy222 there are no open world games made on unreal engine 4 tho. they are all segmented by sections.
@guidorussoheck2100 Biomutant, Borderlands 3, Crackdown 3, Days Gone, Destroy All Humans, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, the list could go on and on. All open worlds, some with no loading screens, running capably on Unreal Engine 4.
@@MarbleThumbs noup, they are all segmented in small zones. Days Gone use the tunners to load the other sections of the map, same Arkham Knight with the bridges, same with Jedi fallen order with the gaps on the walls. We dont have an open world in the levels of The Witcher 3, Horizon, Death Stranding, The last 3 assassins creed rpg games, GTA, Red Dead, Cyberpunk 2077 made on Unreal Engine.
Even with all this technology, game like Rise of the Ronin keeps getting released with PS 3 graphics
lol
1:32 The Thing game just waiting to happen. Or is that it?
Well, there already was a "The Thing" Game back in 2002 ;-)
@ my childhood
It just might be The Thing we need.
Let’s home we get gameplay and fun to match the graphics
Hope mote guides are made for these updates, wanna learn it all so bad but changes come pretty often
i've no idea what any of this says but yes
Go brag about being a lazy loser somewhere else.
Can you create an educational course for this ❤
im wondering if the new rigging and animation toolset makes maya obsolete for game dev?
Hopefully
Still need to make the models. Some studios require Maya for that (though they tend to not care as much as long as it can get in-engine)
For modelling blender should be enough.
Nope
awesome highlights!
So, when are we gonna see the games that actually look like this? Because so far, every game released that uses UE5 doesn't look or perform like anything they advertised it doing in that nanite/lumen/triangle polygons video. Hellblade 2 uses it, but the game has black borders that are obviously tied to the game because of performance reasons.
yeah. cause most players use poteto pc.
@@prrithwirajbarman8389 Lol, Damn. 😂
AAA games take time to make. Currently released games are all indie titles that don't have resources for making high-quality assets that make UE5 shine
Alan wake 2 brother 😂
probably in about 3 years, like the next Halo most likely
This is so impressive
Demo may not look same for production it need to run smoothly on market hardware Older game may look closer to demo because it has less poly and fancy effects, so marketed hardware still able to handle it
What happened to the matrix demo? Where are those games?
Look at Hellblade 2.
Matrix demo was literally just a tech demo doesn't mean it can't be a game in the future at some point. but yeah hellblade 2 will be their latest release utilizing all their tech to an extent
@@YoSlainn I’ve gotten to the point to where I’m not buying any new games unless they look and feel next gen. This gen just feels like the xbone and PS4 2.0, nothing new this gen to convince me to upgrade.
@@Andman8210 It's because graphics have plateaued and also because this gen has seen the smallest jump in performance so far (Moorse law is dead). PS6 will be PS5 1.5 but now with competent ray-tracing performance.
Could say you tired doing same website authentication, but it's not true if gaming is not your city business 1:27 or is but some basic 2D.
My gpu fan ready to scream
Imagine making movies with engine like spiderman
unreal is leagues ahead of the spider man engine.
@@ld32486 Fax
Would be cool.
@@ld32486i think he meant making a spider-man movie using the unreal engine
They actually already use the Unreal Engine in movies/shows. Most of the backgrounds in the recent Stat Wars shows (except for Andor) are built with Unreal.
These features are so unreal! It's necessary and reduces the time process for 3d movie creators
Can it run Crysis?
Imagine AI scene creation on unreal
Now we just want Ubisoft to use Unreal Engine for the next AC games so that we finally get some amazing and satisfying parkour.
Hey.
Unreal Engine on its way to become the best game engine in the world.
After some years we need super computer to make or play games
Fix the stuttering, terrible CPU usage and traversal stutter... keepadding all these features but fail to address how poorly optimized this engine is. Edit just watched the vid: it appears they are at least trying to work on it. Keep doing more of this. Thats what is needed most
Stuttering is pretty much fixed in 5.2 and beyond. Fixes for it have been there for awhile but they weren't enabled by default and most devs were on an older version of the engine.
It's a DX12 issue, not an engine issue. The issue itself is fixable but a lot of developers don't know how to do it, and the process has long been extremely tedious until a few versions ago in Unreal.
That’s so awesome man… but what’s the song playing in the background?? Anyone?
Easier rigging here, meanwhile Houdini gets tougher and more time consuming rigging as “new feature”
Someone better start making the original unreal game.
Incredibly robust and powerful engine which never stops evolving and improving... that's why it leads the industry. Well done EPIC! Now go back to your roots and make some Unreal Tournament game😁
Get ready to have the ps5 pro and a 4090 to be able to use Unreal engine 5 on 60+ fps
amazing features
vr link for android. best feature ever
Well, this got me convinced we're living in Unreal Engine 7 😂
man, ps5 and xbox x came really underpowerd for unreal 5. guess the ps6 era will be the real next gen to handle this engine.
2:17 WTF? That looks like a movie!! If only all the devs learned to use the engine like that!
This is a render, not in-game ready scene. It's not that simple to implement it to into game, sadly.
@@martinnic8235 again, it is rendered in real time. The tech is actually game ready but the specific game they showcase here (1943 rise of hydra) is still being worked on. It isn't a prerendered, It's in-game.
@@Yearl742 Of course, UE5 power is that can run these scenes in real time, but still it's only cutscene which is easier then optimized gameplay. We will see.
@@martinnic8235 All games are renders bro. What you are seeing is literally a game cutscene, rendered fully in engine at real time. During presentation devs literally froze that cutscene and moved around in real time.
@@Navhkrin You completely missed all of my points.
Way to go The Video Guy!!!
didnt understand 80% of what they were saying but looks cool
Can we sculpt a character in unreal engine
No..Use zbrush blender or 3Dcoat then import it!
No. Not Yet
no but animating that character can be done even easier in this update!
Is this going to be a game or a tech demo🧐
Its an engine, the basic tech that is used to make games, not a game itself
/facepalm
Impressive but they should improve optimization for consoles and low pcs, for developers to upscale from 720p in 2024 to reach 60fps is insane
Witcher 4 will probably be the first game to use UE5 well , cause cdproject red seems to be the only game studio who cares about improving game quality and graphics
Wake me up when devs are competent enough to use this engine without shader comp stutter.
someone needs to tell Ubisoft about this.
My pc is finnlay gonna be fried
Told my cpu today unreal 5.4 is out. CPU - Dont do this too me man!
Me: still using UE 4.27
so why do people still use autodesk apps that costs hundreds to thousands a year
"complex 2d motion graphics graphics, including 3d shapes" lol
Konnichiwa ❤
Konnichiwar
Domo
Had to spend $6000 on a pc to play games like this.
My storage drive is going to explode after this one.
Wooohooo!
Coooool… so we’re about to be inundated with really, really great looking games with extremely amateurish design, writing, and game balance. That’s awesome.
these things are not mutually exclusive
@@Marth8880 You are correct. They can be both great-looking, and terribly amateurish.
Murder Drones season 2 just got leaked 💀🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️
Rockstar refuses to give us GTA 6 "I'll do it myself" - Thanos
Tbh, graphics, while really nice, are getting less and less important to me in terms of gaming.
Features: stuttering, bad framerate
It’s early gameplay you twat
It's not engine's fault when developers don't use PSO caching that comes with engine since 5.1
I'm pretty sure it's KZhead and not the actual video, happens all the time
Frame rates hardware/developer decided not software
But then you want everything to be perfect, right?
So in other words alot of games are going to look the same using this engine
Huh? 🤔
😁
The stutter engine
All on paper, but we haven't seen nothing yet 😂
First comment
This looks like AI.
It's called Unreal because there aren't many real titles utilizing it. Change my mind.
There are quite a few actually. Sure, there aren't many games using 5 at this point, although most of those that released suffer from poor performance.
productio ready UE5 was launched 2 years ago, it takes a little bit more than that to make games
@@gambello1195 Also most studios don't use 5.0 version because it was unstable and lacked performance. 5.4 is where UE5 truly starts to be production ready.
That's why Games in the future runs only 30 fps huh? Can't handle it at 60. What a Giant step back...
ft OUT OF MEMORY ERROR . 14900K 13900K
lol
so basically all the games that release in the future using this engine from different Developer are basically the same result the same visual but story
Barely any games coming out!
Developing takes time
5.4? we're getting closer to 6, and not too many games are coming out with 5 yet?
Games take time to make dude. FF7 Rebirth for example, was developed on 4 and still used 4. Future games will be built on 5 and release later while 6 is way off.
Yea, devs need to know something is absolutely stable before they commit years and lots of money. Often that means using something that has been battle tested and all the major/minor bugs fixed.
Bro 5 was only released 2 years ago.
@@xJinRaGnait’s been out for 2 years one, two there are legit games that are on unreal engine 5 like Ark Surivial ascended and it looks like ps3 graphics with bad frames. All that is shown here is for trailers. Not actual gaming. Change my mind.
@@faxslaps5775 ??? Tekken 8, Immortals of Aveum, and Lords of the Fallen all built on Unreal Engine 5.
Yet it still can't optimize a freakin mobile game😒👎
OPTIMIZE YOUR DAMN ENGINE. IT'S AWFUL.
Stutter engine 5.4
No
So much work on this engine for people to make crappy games.
Stutter engine Cryengine looks far superior
*Continues making unreal engines* Never makes games using their full capabilities
The only ones doing so are The Coalition and Epic themselves, unfortunately.
there are a lots of devs making games on this engine, it came out 2 years ago, its not like games are developed in an instant
All this equals to more bad performance lol
Why are yall showing this type of stuff to us should be showing it off to these game devs cuz they're still making games that still look like its from early last gen 😂😂
Worst engine ever, every game feels like fortnite
Anyone who says performant sounds like a tool. You can say the same thing by slightly rearranging the sentence and using an actual word, performance, instead of the made up word, performant.
ALL words are made up by humans. Furthermore, performant is in both Oxford and Cambridge [governing body of internationally recognised English qualifications] dictionary (+ more).
AI makes all of this useless 😢
AI makes game engines useless? 😂
@@AlecChalmersyeah just write "make me a game" as a prompt, easy as that :D
Games please like real, stop pissing about with tech
this makes it easier for designers to make games. The more tools come to unreal the better your games will be.
Games in 2024 still looks like ps3 games no needs to unreal 5
More graphics.... but not physics, dynamic ai, and innovation and gameplay.
Gameplay? This is an engine
