  • I love the old Roy Jones Jr. I wish the man didn’t lose that invincibility he once had. It’s just unfortunate for some of the best fighters to deteriorate just before getting passed their primes especially as incredible as Roy. Love him and Iron Mike but Tyson is a true monster. I wanna see him fight David Tua instead, I hope Tua gets in shape and make a comeback ‘coz he’s practically the same cut as Mike. Natural born strength who defies aging.

At heavyweight (2003) he faced titleholder Ruiz who at that time ranked 7th. Now we where all waiting to see if Roy would face the top dogs but he didn't. So no... I can't agree with your "any weight class" assestment. At that time even old Iron Mike was still active he had real options

    • No Joe Calzaghe is the GOAT.... Everyone cries that Jones Jr was past his prime when they fought, but so was Calzaghe, his hands were so bad he hadn't sparred 1 round or hit a heavy bag in 3+ years, and immediately retired after the fight. Just ask Eubank how hard he used to hit, VS the Kessler-Hopkins-Jones fights. Big difference. I doubt ANY fighter in any era of middleweight/super middle/LHeavyweight can keep up with the excruciating pace that Calzaghe puts on you, swamps you with 120 punches a round, and eventually breaks you by the 9th-10th round and piles up a point scorecard win.
