BLTV Highlights the big night of heavy hitters between Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin & the brash Curtis Stevens. HBO billed it as Monsters collide, as both guys were infamous for there crushing one punch power

  • Curtis Steven's face when he got dropped by Golovkin spoke volumes perfectly encapsulates how hard GGG hits. Stevens learned it wasnt just hype.

    • Completely agree. However, sometimes loudmouths can be a blessing. I know if I was a humble guy defending a title I'd want all the contenders to be trash talkers because they draw way more hype to the match. It's a reality that I don't like, but it is reality. That's why so many fights these days have "staged drama" where the guys taking part do a little stage show to make it look like "this fight is PERSONAL!!" In most cases, it's not. It's just business.

  • Thank you for making such a great video. I honestly was naturally buzzing when Golovkin was about to fight, and there seemed to be a thickness in the air, where one was just expecting that, at any second, Golovkin was going to smash a W again. I truly love the man. He's a good guy, no pushover, but also not a gloater. It meant a lot to me that millions showed Golovkin dedication and respect, as well. I would have been so honored to shake his hand, but since he retired, I do not know when the opportunity would present itself, but, again, thanks for the "shout-out" to Triple-G. I've loved boxing since I was a young girl watching boxing with my grandpa, and Gennady's fights awoke even a deeper love of boxing and sport in me, and it's never left. I feel Triple-G lost a bit of passion after the debacle with Alvarez, of course meaning the scoring. I noticed he spoke very little English after that in interviews and only Kazakh or Russian. Fighters work so ungodly hard and have to eat a clean diet and constant-grind lifestyle, and having a fight scored as a loss that was not legitimate must sting much worse than a liver shot. I think many judges forget what a sacrifice these men and women have made and what a determent it can be to their career. Great job, BLTV for covering everything and not getting into all of that. You made the best point, and that was what a gangster nightmare Golovkin was. Loved the video!

    @barrybarnes96@barrybarnes962 ай бұрын
    • The forehead is the thickest part of the skull. Much more likely to risk breaking your hand hitting that. The forehead is also where most fighters try to take punches if they get hit since you're less susceptible to knockouts. Of course, if you hit like Golovkin you can still knock someone out with a shot to the forehead lol.
