Thanks for watching. 🥂
You can coat the inside of the tumbler with Vaseline to prevent the paint from sticking and then wipe it out with a paper towel when done.
Yes you can! 🙂
As a beginner I'm learning so much by watching your videos. Love your cups!!
Thank you so much. I watch so many tumbler tutorials and no one shows what to do with the inside and the rim, when it is dry. So thank you for showing me that last step.
I have watched a number of your videos and really appreciate how detailed you are in your descriptions. Thanks.
+Jane Hunter Thank you so much for watching and the compliment!!
My suggestion is to be sure you have total coverage of paint on top of the water and dip as slow as you can. If you have full coverage and go slow the water never makes contact before the paint. If the water doesn’t touch first it can’t get trapped.
Thank you x infinity. Serio.
All these tumbler art are reminded me of nail art
Yes! Very similar!
I covered the inside by placing the lid in a plastic grocery sack and putting the lid on my tumbler. It worked great for a handle protected the lid and kept the water and paint out.
Thank you for the info!
Thank you for all the detail you put into your video. For newbies this is really helpful!

Beautiful Hydro dip. I do lots of hydro dips myself. Most of my customers want them. They love the marbling effect.
Thanks for the tutorial. I’m a newbie and will try this soon. I subscribed and look forward to new videos.

Nancy Mitchell Thank you so much!! And thank you for watching!
This is such a cool unique design that is perfect for men’s tumblers!
Could be female tumbler with whichever colors you think are more "lady friendly"...
Nice work
best tutorial on hydro dip. love the way u explained it!! Keep up the good work!
Jessica Fowler Thank you so much!!! And thank you so much for watching!!!
I like watching her channel, she's cute 😁 of course she gives a lot of good info 👍👍
very pretty
Thank you was so very helpful:). God Bless
Metallics need a dark paint sprayed on your tumbler etc. and allowed to dry before dipping. Kinda acts like a primer in a way but actually it gives the gold , silver , copper a to show. Black or silver paint does a good job
Beautiful up & ur necklace is so cute
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
HI Lela thanks for another great tutorial!! I love watching these and seeing the color combos and pretty swirls! They're so beautiful!! The paint is dry within like 30 seconds so you can use paper towels or an old towel. No need to blow dry.
Tysm for sharing❤ I love your video and how you explain everything. I have watched several on hydrodipping since I recently tried it for the 1st time. I'm still learning and perfecting my technique, lol. But one thing I picked up was when using metallic paints was to spray them last cuz they dry faster than the other types of paint. P.S. Great color choices! I love how beautiful this cup turned out!
Thank you x
I love that 2yrs ago you were working towards 1k subscribers and now you are over 80k! Get it Girl!! 🎉
Thank you so much!!! 👏
This is so beautiful ♥️
Love this! I’m going to try again after watching your video. I’ve already tried 4 times and stripped them all...
LORIZACHERY64 Thank you so much!!! And don’t give up! I’ve stripped so many tumblers!!! Hope it turned out well!
When you first dip it take a dry paper towel and wipe from bottom to top all around tumbler this will sort both water droplets and air bubbles!
I always used something that vibrates I used to do that with concrete to get the bubbles out a washer or dryer might do it. That glass looks real nice. When I painted cars you can use painters tape to pull a run or sage in the epoxy
nicely done. i tried one and wrapped the lid in a plastic bag and dipped that part in first. I wasn't prepared with how buoyant it was. lol. anyway, the lid soaked up most of the paint and the bottom of the cup didn't get coated very well. anyway will goo gone be ok to strip it and i'll try it again. Thanks
New subscriber really enjoy your channel
Thank you so much for showing how to clean the rim, I have searched and searched to make sure I was doing right and you are the only person I have seen show this step. I do have one question; after I clean the rim sometimes the epoxy can feel sharp (I guess would be the word) how do you handle that?
It’s Beautiful!! Love the colors!
Gorgeous!!!
+D Ozee Thank you so much!!
I’ve seen this done with Alcohol inks ~ but first time seen with spray paint ~ 😎~ very interesting too!
Lisa - do you just drop the alcohol inks in the water and do you swirl them around with anything?
👀 like top of oil spill from car~😎💗
very cool. I enjoyed this tutorial. I do have a question. Doesn't acetone break down the epoxy? does it not affect the seal?? Thanks a bunch.
I use an air compressor to spray after dipping and it always pops the bubbles so I get no water ;) hope that helps.
Do you do it right away?
Yes I normally do it as soon as it drips a bit.
@@samiebennett352 you use the high pressure nozzle?
Thank you
This video was amazing!!! Thank you so much. Also, can you hydro dip and epoxy plastic Tumblers??
+Melisa Rascoe Thank you so much for watching!! I am sure you can hydro dip plastic, but I don’t l think it is safe to epoxy plastic and use as a food or beverage. I would look more into that though! Good luck!
I love how you explain! I wanted to know if you can use any of your tumbler methods on plastic tumblers?
I've wondered the same. Or even on glass.
@@tiffanyderanger273 as long as you have a primer or base coat for the paint to stick to you can certainly use glass I do a lot of glass.
You could also try running cool water over the cup afterwards .
I did like
Try slowing down and going in at more of an angle, I noticed you went really fast and at first barely had a tilt to the cup. Moving slower will also allow the air to move before the water and paint seals over and makes a bubble.
Elexis Craig Thank you so much for the helpful tip and thank you for watching!!
I love your tutorials! I’ve been having trouble with the alcohol inks and epoxy mixture. My cups always come out lumpy. Any tips for me?
Take your gloved finger and smooth out the stripes of epoxy ink you put on the tumbler
Spray compressed are right after it’s out of the water. That’s works well ☺️
Love the cup and colors may I get a list of all the items I will need really just need the type of paint, primer and the name of the 1/2&1/2 that you use
Did you watch the video? If you did you would know this. .
I love your cup. I have a question about the heat gun. I am new with epoxy. Every time I use the heat gun. It makes my epoxy with big gaps. Like holes in the epoxy. I read up and do exactly like they say. I keep it 6 inches or so away. I keep it moving back and forwards. I only do it for a few seconds. But it happens every time. What am I doing wrong?
to avoid the airbubbles on cup when you take the cup out of bucket use air pressure hose and that will get rid of bubbles
Do you have a video or can explain please.
Is their a particular type of clear epoxy that's needed in case I want to by some locally to do this with?
I love the video! It came out beautiful! What temp did you have your water at?
I used warm or room temp water
Love this tumbler. I'm looking to make a black, blue, and maybe gray. This is my first tumbler to hydrodip. To make like a blue marble look. I noticed your white base coat showed through. Does that happen all the time? I was worried if I sprayed the base coat white that the white would show through the black and blue?
Prime it in black
Hi. Can i use a blow gun with the air compressor after hydro deeping?
I painted a terracotts pot with a high gloss spray paint. Can I hydro dip the pot with the high gloss paint already applied to the pot?
I'm just seeing this video looks amazing.. quick question.. the spray paint u used 1st to prepare the cup was that flat spray paint?
Yes thats always your base color
Hi! Love your channel! I have a quick question. If I'm placing a decal on the tumbler, should I epoxy over the decal as well?
Thank you. And yes. 😊
@@MissKissKreations thank you 😁
do you get dimples in ur epoxy after applying??
