Condiments To Buy & Avoid This Summer - Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, And More!

Summer is in full swing, so I had to make a review video of all the condiments at the grocery store. You guys gotta know what ingredients are in the ketchup and relish you are squeezing on your hot dogs and hamburgers. I was really shocked at how many store bought mayonnaise, mustard, and relish had natural flavors, nasty preservatives, and way too much sugar. By the time you squeeze ketchup on your hot dog, you have added 3 additional teaspoons of white sugar! Luckily, there are some great sugar free options of ketchup, including my homemade recipe down below. You gotta go organic when it comes to yellow mustard, and avocado oil is your best bet for mayonnaise. Once again, just read the labels, you can easily spot the bad ingredients and replace them with better brands. Mad love Bobby...Dessi...and Art! XOXO

RECIPES:
sugar free ketchup: www.flavcity.com/homemade-ket...
homemade mayo: www.flavcity.com/avocado-oil-...
BBQ sauce: www.flavcity.com/sugar-free-b...
Primal kitchen mayo for $5.99. Use my promo link and then search Fresh Thyme Farmers Market: inst.cr/t/x3Tnf8y1e
Try to buy sugar free ketchup, it's readily available these days. I would only buy avocado oil mayo, as it is the highest quality & most healthy oil to make mayo from. Organic yellow mustard is the way to go to avoid those pesky natural flavors. BBQ sauce is loaded with sugar, you gotta try to go no/low sugar added.
My fav SUGAR FREE ketchup brands:

AlternaSweet(even better than primal): amzn.to/30S7BEC
My fav LOW SUGAR ketchup brands(2 grams of sugar or less):

    • I agree, I have tried many of these lowfat, no sugar 'healthy' condiments, they can keep 'em! They taste like sh!t. I think the worst offender is the mayo concoctions, I love Dukes, if I can't find it then I go with Kraft. Yes, moderation is the key, I for one don't eat mayo by the cupful, and anyone who puts 3 TBS of ketchup on a hot dog has an addiction and no kind of healthy ketchup is gonna help, 😂

  • Hi Bobby & Art. I have become obsessed with this channel. I'm 53 with several health conditions that forced me to retire early and I finally decided to take a hard look at my diet. I knew bad stuff was in our food but really, OMG, no wonder we have so many health problems in America. This is my first week doing sort of a modified Whole 30 (I didn't eliminate dairy because I knew I wouldn't stick with it) and I can't believe I am going on day 6 with no sugar or processed food, grains or bread (YIKES!). Your channel has provided so much information on what to buy at the stores because honestly, it's a bit overwhelming to go into somewhere like Trader Joe's or Whole Foods without a plan. I'm now learning what the landmines are in foods that you would thinks are good for you. I have been spreading the word about you everywhere I can. My cousin is doing this with me and I keep preaching to her "NO NATURAL FLAVORING! Watch Flavcity!". Anyway, thank you so much for helping me to start on the path to a healthy lifestyle. I'm going to head over to Amazon to pick up your cookbook.

    @Cherylebreaux@Cherylebreaux4 жыл бұрын
    • Dear Cheryle. Are any of your conditions Autoimmune? If you have "several" I suspect they might be, and If so...this is a great place to start, but autoimmune conditions are tricky and require a little tweaking. The Autoimmune Protocol Diet, or AIP, removes a few more foods in the beginning, so as to find out what the triggers are for your disease/symptoms, but is basically keto/paleo with lots of veggies. I'm sorry to say that dairy is very problematic for most people and is eliminated in the beginning, as it's cross-reactive to gluten... in other words, it acts like gluten in the body. So are eggs in the beginning, but can be re-introduced once your symptoms abate and you heal your gut (which is the root cause... the microbiome terrain is broken down). You will then be able to find out for sure whether or not it's causing symptoms. The elimination phase is only about 30-60 days (I was very sick with Graves, and it took me longer to lose my symptoms, however). I am pretty up-to-date on the latest Autoimmune science and protocols if you should need a little help. I love these videos Bobby puts out...he is so thorough and spot on. Even though I can't have a few of the ingredients he uses, I have learned a ton from him, and he has some great recipes!

  • I requested this video back in 2018/early 2019 and Bobby responded he'd "see what he could do," and he made it! This is so helpful for people that can't make every condiment they need, but want to eat as healthy as possible. Thank you so much for taking your time to research, compile, film, and edit this information for us!

  • Eating clean can get expensive but health is #1 priority. Having to deal with cancer or various health issues is costlier. Budget and cut in other places of your life. Use common sense when grocery shopping - fruits and veggies without skin that you eat raw like berries - choose organic. What you use a lot (like cooking oil) go avocado oil or EVO. Read the labels, the fewer the better. I appreciate Bobby’s channel because he makes us informed buyers.

One of the main reasons I want to eat healthier (whole nutritional foods) so that I can reduce the inflammation in my body. Now that I have given you a little background, I would love to see a video that recommends foods to start with for a Keto, Gluten free lifestyle change. I live on a strict budget.

Since I know I am not at my optimal health, I am willing to branch out and try potentially less-tasty condiments if there is some chance of improving my health.
